Re: Maps, tiles, or theater of the minds eye?

I will admit when I first saw "theater of the minds eye," my brain processed it as Mind's Eye Theater and my excitement went up thinking this might be a WoD discussion. Silly me! :pos: I was excited to see everything you are doing with your 3D printer. It is an awesome visualization of wh...

Re: Maps, tiles, or theater of the minds eye?

Nice.. If you print out the sheets, how do you 'balloon' up a map you have, to where it is sized for 1" squares, on the regular size paper?

So, for when you game, do you prefer using map packs (or chessex like battle mats)? Dungeon tiles (whether those 2d cardstock sets, or 3d dungeon forge like stuff), or do you just run "Theater of the minds eye?

How many 'names' the same in your group??

I don't know whether to laugh or not at this..
My name is david. I currently have 1 david in the group, a 2nd on the way, and a 3rd who says he'd like to join, next month.. So that's making 4 'daves' in a group of 9 players and 1 DM..

Has anyone had something similar?

Part of me hoped they lost (cause of the hoopla over rapino and the flag/not singing the anthem), part of me wanted them to win..

Defeating the sleep spell.

Over on DF there's a humdinger of a thread currently, going on about "is sleep overpowered', and the discussion morphed into "is it metagaming to allow someone to buy up dozens of piglets, or carry 50+ rats with them, even if not a caster, so all the animals fall asleep first, before their...

Re: How long from time found, to reality??

Elves live upwards of 600 yrs iirc, but even they would still be 5-6 generations removed from when plate was known about.. As for the few encounters with monsters who have them, They've all been FOUND items for those monsters.. Even the bugbears who are known for being armorers (as evidenced by the ...

Re: Cleric vs. Cleric - Party Discord?

bringing this back up with a related question.. Has anyone who made their OWN gods up, ever actually gone through and listed out who/what a priest OF each god, can cast on followers of the other gods? IE: God ABC, is favored to god BBC, but still won't allow his priest to cast more than 5th level sp...

Re: How long from time found, to reality??

Even at 600 yrs old, most living dwarves would be 6-7 generations removed at least from something that was lost over 5000 yrs ago. That said, yes i am thinking it 'being re-discovered', would make for a slightly swifter re-making process, especially with 6 newly found suits in pristine condition.. S...
