Email notifications for new posts

Hey!

Long time game board poster first time poster here.

Wondering how you get the notifications to go out so quick for the new posts.

I have a php forum on my own web hosting, and I can't seem to get notifications to go out unless another user visits after a users posts.

Thanks! Been a gaming board member for a few years now. The notifications work super quick. I cannot get my board to reap3ond that well.
