[Round 1]

The archers hold, unable to see beyond the range of the torchlight. Fortunately, Nocturno and Jordek move forward quickly, carrying the flaming beacon forward. The elven warrior turns the corner and strikes out clumsily at the goblin waiting just around the bend! His sword Clangs noisily against the cave wall but he just manages to keep his grip on it. He is set upon by the pair of goblins, but his superior armor turns each of the blows almost effortlessly.

The combatants are just out of view of the archers, until a lone goblin in rusty chain comes charging out of the shadows to the south! Katten and Indendien fire simultaneously, each striking the creature before he can close the distance. The shafts fail to stop the exceptionally hearty goblin, who slashes wildly at Nocturno in his own assault. Spotting an opportunity to engage, Elden rushes forward to keep in the light and attack the newcomer. He strikes quickly, but the wetrock tribes-goblin deftly dodges him.

Linar bides his time, looking for a clean shot, and doesnt have long to wait before one of the hide-clad goblins barrels out of the darkness from the SouthEast! The drow's aim is true and his arrow pierces the enemy's side, but like before it continues forward! Raising a dingy mace, it bashes Elden square between the shoulderblades with a painful Crunch! Jordek circles around behind it in an attempt to stab the foe in the back, but his efforts are nimbly evaded.

A flurry of arrows continue from the archers, all flying false of the mark as the smaller goblins dance and dodge in melee with their larger foes.
In the darkness to the West, the movement and hoarse whispers of many other creatures can barely be heard by Nocturno, Elden and Jordek

Nocturno fumble conf [1d20] = 19 Fumble Confirmed! (barely!)
His weapon strikes the wall and sends a shock up his arm but is not damaged.

G49 (ready) stabs (-1 pierce vs Splint) at Nocturno (AC 2) with his spear!
Thac0 20 vs AC 2 (-1): Need 19+ to hit!
[1d20] = 15, miss!
G49 vs Nocturno spear [1d20] = 15 [1d6] = 2

G50 (ready) moves SouthEast 5 feet to engage Nocturno in Melee
G50 stabs (-1 pierce vs Splint) at Nocturno (AC 2) with his spear!
Thac0 20 vs AC 2 (-1): Need 19+ to hit!

G50 vs Nocturno short sword [1d20] = 13 [1d6] = 4


Jordek moves SouthWest 25 feet with the torch, preparing to stab at a goblin with his dagger when it is engaged with Nocturno or Elden in melee

Katten holds, waiting for a foe to come into range

Gx2 moves Northeast 10 feet, out of cover and into the torchlight!

Indendien (ready) fires her Longbow at Gx2 (AC 5, chain)
Thac0 18 vs AC 5: Need 13+ to hit
[1d20] = 15, hit!
For [1d8] = 6 damage!
Gx2 is Hurt Badly!

Katten (ready) fires her Longbow at Gx2 (AC 5, chain) (+4 vs goblins)

[1d20] = 7, hit! (barely!)
For [1d6] = 2 damage!

Gx2 continues to move NorthWest 10 feet to engage in Melee with Nocturno!
Gx2 slashes at Nocturno (AC 2) with his axe!

Katten moves forward, her bow at the ready as she swtiches to her normal vision, her bow firing twice.

Long Bow (Thaco 16) [1d20] = 18 dmg [1d6] = 2 Hit AC -6.
Long Bow (Thaco 16) [1d20] = 7 dmg [1d6] = 6 Hit AC 4

"You two, move in so the torch will help our friends!" Nocturno turns and attacks an injured goblin, or the next nearest.

Longsword(18): [1d20] = 3 [1d8+3] = 5+3 = 8

====================================
Elden spins on the goblin that hit him, and attacks.

If/when that one is down he will move to the south, hoping the torch follows.

Having little luck with his bow Linar switches weapons and moves quietly towards the conflict, following the southern wall to hide in the shadows just short of the torchlit area.

[Will hold for a backstab. Happy for you to roll for HS/MS. That way there's no appearance of impropriety. Ideally it will be when there's no more incoming from a given group of foes. Also happy to withdraw into the darkness again if that is possible/simple to achieve. Objective is to give the melee experts some relief rather than getting embroiled in the melee.]
