Evenwood will move back with the party in the first round after the Ray of Frost was cast.

"Does anyone have a blanket that we can put over the mirror that creates the opposite?" "I will cast Ray of Frost at the jelly this time."

In round 2 Evenwood will cast Ray of Frost once more this time targeting the jelly this time. When he moves back in round one, he wants to make sure he is still in targeting distance of 60 feet with the Ray of Frost.
[1d20] = 20 + 5 = 25
Damage assuming it's double due to critical : [2d8] = 7
He will move back more with the group if required in round 2.

Are the back rank moving back their full 30'? Or enough to keep the foe just within bright light? Or enough to keep it just within dim light?

Alecia's spell covers Nix, Sue and Elvenwood.

The priestess steps backwards avoiding the ray of frost. "A blanket..?" She muses, checking her pack from behind.

Enough to be clearer, while maintaining the foe in light.

Round 2
Alecia's spell reinforces Nix, Sue and Evenwood with Divine energy.

Amid some general debate about who should go where, Woody calls out for a blanket to cover a mirror. He steps back a few feet before releasing another frigid beam of blue-white light which strikes the jelly and spreads out into a quivering circle of frost. Meanwhile Jim gives the creature another pair of solid punches.

Sue again stands his ground ready to attack a foe and protect an adjacent comrade. Nix moves backwards 5' to allow others to pass freely and hurls another beam of crackling energy at the adversary

The jellied skull surges forwards like a slow motion tidal wave forcing Jim to try and jump backwards out of the way. He misjudges his jump and is enveloped in jellylike glop. He hangs motionless as if floating.

Alecia confirms that she did bring a blanket inside her backpack and, torch and mace in hand, moves back 20’ so that the foe is just within her torchlight.

Dark tiles are darkness. The way line is the forward edge of the jelly-like glop which can be clearly seen by Sue & Woody. Nix & Alecia require Perception DC15 (with disadvantage) to see this.

======
Nix, Sue and Evenwood each gain +1d4 for all to hit & saving throw rolls for the next minute (10 rounds).
21 Woody: Ray of Frost (AC25: critical! 7 cold dam, speed reduced by 10’ for 1r)
20 Jim: Open hand attacks (AC10 & 23, 5 & 6 bludgeoning dam)
15 Sue: Holds attack & commits reaction
13 Nix: Eldridge Blast (AC20, 1 force dam)
9 Skull advances 5’ (Jim fails his DEX saving throw and is enveloped.)
6 Alecia moves back 20’keeping the skull just in the light.

Actions & associated rolls for round 3, please.

"Oh Morning Lord, it HAS JIM... INSIDE IT. If you are going to do something do it now!" Sue will step closer to the moving blob and take a swing.

Instead of swinging with this sword, Sue sees Jim is knocked out INSIDE the goop. He will drop his sword hoping to slide it back towards the others.

Sticking his hand into the jelly, Sue grabs Jim and pulls him with a mighty grunt. While pulling Sue manages an extraordinary maneuver, catching his sword on the hilt with this foot, which will send his sword back 18' towards the big room, hopefully allowing him to grab it before the slime blob eats it.

"C'mon let him go! Or will feed you a steady diet of steel and curses! You can't ruin my bet this easily you damned fool!"

Sue will drag Jim 20' back.

Hit roll to be used to grab Jim.
Longsword: To hit: [1d20+5] = 6+5 = 11 Damage [1d8+3] = 3+3 = 6
Extra to hit from Alecia: [1d4] = 2
Athletics(STR)(5):[1d20+5] = 20+5 = 25
Sword Flip: [2d10+5] = 13+5 = 18

Round 3. Woody will use Ray of Frost again making sure Sue is not in the way. He will move back if the jelly move closer always maintaining the current distance.

[1d20] = 9 + 5 + [1d4] = 2 = 15
9+5+2 = 15
Damage [1d8] = 3

[witch bolt on jelly]
===
nix disadv witch bolt, bless, dmg vs jelly [1d20+6] = 5+6 = 11[1d20+6 [1d4] = 2 [1d12] = 2
forgot a bracket

nix disadv witch bolt vs jelly [1d20+6] = 2+6 = 8

so 8+ 2 => hits AC 10 for 2 dmg

Round 3:
Woody repeats his frosty white beam chilling the northern part of the glob-creature and then moves back 30’ (intending to maintain a 50’ distance.) Jim remains motionless, suspended limply a few foot above the stone floor.

With a heartfelt cry, "Oh Morninglord, it HAS JIM... INSIDE IT. If you are going to do something, do it now!" Jim advances, raising his sword, then drops it, kicking it backwards just east of Nix, choosing instead to thrust his hand into the glop and seize limp Jim, “"C'mon let him go!” and carries Jim eastward. At this point another Sue, still brandishing a longsword, seems to emerge from the southern wall, starting to pull itself free of the glop. Jim-wielding Sue hastens 25’ away from the jelly which tries to surge over him but misses. Longsworded Sue follows and swings at the Sue that carries Jim. The sword strikes true and penetrates the half-orc’s armour. Nix hurls a beam of crackling blue energy which hits the jelly and makes it steam, raising a faintly salty odour. He falls back to be shoulder to shoulder with Sue (that carries Jim).

The jellied skull advances 10’ as Alecia hangs her mace back on her belt. With same delicate gestures and syllables she touches Jim, infusing him with divine healing & restoring his consciousness.

Dark tiles are darkness. The wavy line is the forward edge of the jelly-like glop. Brackets around "J" represent Jim being carried over Sue's shoulder. The purple "T" shows Sue's sword on the floor.

======
21 Woody: Ray of Frost (AC15, 3 cold dam, speed reduced by 10’ for 1r)
20 Jim’s body tries to stabilise (Death saving throw, 9, is a fail, total: 1 fail, nil successes.)
15 Sue: Takes (10) acid damage pulling Jim free & movement allows the Jelly a reaction attack, To Hit, dam [1d20+4] = 2+4 = 6,[3d6] = 8, missing.
14 Sue2: Takes (10) acid damage, follows & strikes at Sue. (To Hit, dam [1d20+5] = 18+5 = 23,[1d8+3] = 7+3 = 10)
13 Nix: Witch Bolt (AC10, 2 force dam)
9 Jellied skull: advances 10’
6 Alecia: CLW (+11HP) on Jim

Actions, movement & associated rolls for round 4, please.
