Jerry tries to catch Merrick's eyes, failing, but does take his hands, one, then the other.
Holding onto his right hand, she kisses his left hand then tucks it under her right arm, gripping it gently with her upper arm so he knows she doesn't want hm to escape or pull away.
Reaching up on tip toes the priestess tries to catch Merricks's chin in her right hand, letting go of his arm if need be, so she can gently tilt his chin so as to look into his eyes.
"Attend me, sweet man, my man. I know you would not harm me.
"I trust three things implicitly, without reservatiomn or hesitation: the first is My Lady Mystra, the second my own mindful judgement, the third, dear Merrick, is you.
"Of the dreams in this place, they are spiteful. We cannot, it seems stop them, but we can be sure in and of each other, of that, have no doubt and truly trust in me and in yourself.
"Should I, may Mystra forbid, become vampire though, it is then no longer me and I now request and require you to then end my body. Of that, more another time."


Jerry eyes leak unashamedly and she pushes back the urge to kiss him.
"The insistence of this crown is, in my judgement, something of note beyond the spite of this land. Whether it is an entity, corporeal or otherwise or a sentience within an item, perhaps the crown, perhaps something allied or opposed to it I know not. But the insistence is real, but whether for weal or woe, I know not. And if that insistence is of substance, then the hint of opposition to it is something that I shall not, may not ignore.
"Thank you for sharing with me. I have done so in kind with you."
She stops talking and submits to the urge to kiss his sweet face.

The ony "carried-over" spell is Protection from Evil.
In addition to retaining this, Jerry prepares (or has prepared):
1st Burning Hands, Magic Missile
2nd Level: Echoes

1st Level: Cure Light Wounds, Magic Stones, Regenerate Light Wounds, Thought Capture
2nd Level: Cure Moderate Wounds, Nap

What was Merrick's answer to him being casting Armour on her (as his casting is more powerful)?
    That was asked prior to Jerry's monoolgue above and would affect Jerry's spell memorisation, i.e if he says, "Sorry, not possible," or something equivalent then she would memorise Armour instead of Burning Hands.

Also queried at the same time (as whether he would cast Armour) was has the Regenerate Wounds spell that Jerry cast on him gone down. Will you confirm its remaining logevity, please?
    I know you told me that spell expiration time/date is listed but I can't remember where. My memory gets worse every year. Sorry.

[24 hrs / caster level. she was lvl 2 when it was cast so it has 1 day left. i intended to do some rp response to your post above on dec 8th, i just havent been able to take the time yet.
also, i need a d8 roll for jerry's new hps and shr has 1 wp slot to spend. if i missed this somewhere already posted, i apologize. the other items you mentioned are in the new game thread post]

Thanks for the info; it's fine, I understand the delay - I just wanted to be sure about BH versus Armour spell selection (if Merrick wasn't going to do the Armour spell for her.)

Jerry HP [1d8] = 5
I had been aware I needed to do the HP but then, TBH, just forgot.
I hadnt been aware about WP though. I'll go look at that and then edit this..

Edit: WP = +1 increase to Single Weapon Style Specialisation [so now +2 AC when using a 1H weapon that she's proficient with & not using a shield or weapon in other hand.)

[Updates done, a couple days past but realize i didnt confirm]

The dark-haired half-elf doesn't respond at first, sitting defensively and by gradual degrees only passively. When she professes her trust of him, he shakes his head only slightly; still staring into the nothingness before his downcast, open, unseeing eyes. The dampness still staining his cheeks paints a glossy line down the unflinching features... not unlike one who had given up.

The remainder of her words wash over him like a creek over a stone, showing little sign of their passage. Not until her kiss does he move at all, only then the barest flicker of his lips against hers before the young man's face turns to bury against her collar. Arms encircle her body tightly, as a man might to the last branch floating in a maelstrom. Merrick's body remained rigid, hardly moving as her ribs creaked under the unsuspected force of that grip. There was no denying he clung for life... his soul.. perhaps even more... eventually his grip relaxed and when the Mystaran was finally able to steal another glance at his face, it was practically unreadable... almost... hollow...

Jerry hugs Merrick back, squeezing him closer and, for once, lets just being there be sufficient.
As he pulls back to look at her, she squeezes his hand and gives a brave smile and a wink that says, "It's all right. It will be all right becasue we're together."

i would say it does not, since this is a curse and not a zone effect. she does not lose the spell slot and may try again until it works [passing a wis check]. outside of combat is is mostly a nuisance, in combat it is more critical

How does throwing stones work?
Dex mod to hit? STR mod to damage? Or..?

yes, dex mod bonus to hit, str mod to damage for thrown weapons. range is 10/20/30 (in yards) for short/mid/long range (-2 penalty for mid range, -5 for long) but she should easily be close enough not too encur penalty in this instance.

As far as I could make out the Magical Stones used by Pyros were doing 1d4dam (+1 for Prayer).

There might be something special going on but just in case, Magical Stones usually do 2d4 damage against undead regardless of size (and counts as +1 weapon for the purposes of what it affects).

oop, good catch. Noturno rolled it as 1d4, and it didn't catch my attention regarding the undead/extra dmg. I'll fix it tonight after work. As for moving past the skeletons to let more people into melee, at this point they would basically have to force one out of the way... which is a tall order (pun intended). These cave systems are pretty tight quarters, and the party is pretty large. So the first one is already in the damaged category after the initial Salvo (more so once i add the other d4s) so they may be able to circle around to the other before long.
