Whilst flying down* to Pik and trying to stabilise him Ornvul broadcasts, 'Jar is conscious. Pik is next. Seos died. Can't see the sword-wielding snake.'
The scout tries to stabilise Pik and then starts to fly up** to the SW corner of the room.

Healing skill on Pik TN9 [1d20] = 19 fails to restore HP but might prevent further bleeding.
*As a 20' descent I think this counts as 10' movement.
**If 50% movement allowed, i.e. 180'/2=90' less 10' used leaves 80'. Climbing SW 30' (costs x2 i.e. 60') so leaves 20' for horizontal traval (which should more or less be in the SW corner near the ceiling.)

'Seos is dead?' Yelb tries to make meaning of Ornvul and Jars comments. With rage and finding himself under a storm of assaults he cast 'Tentacles' on himself, growing another pair of arms, drawing fours swords, clenches his teeth and starts choping back at the troll without thinking.

"Ruksher Groob iR solen Shaxh,
Votor una gotter Maxh,
Teen O pukt a zoner Kal,
Allen Tor a put Naval."


He whispers emphasising every syllable with anger and hate. In fact he haven't noticed when he started to grow so fond of Seos but obviously her death had shaken him.
The gruesome sentences translate to:

"When need arise,
and risk is high,
to the help I'll grow a spare,
of not one hand but pair."

(OOC: Not the best rhyme but...
I think the spell means Yelb will have another two hands so he will have 5 attacks per round. BTW, I don't remember if Tentacles can be cast on someone else, but if he casts it of Cait she will be able to finish an army of trolls in one round.
Can he have one attack this round or all will start on the next?
)

The invisible elven scout flips back right-side-up as she descends from her position near the ceiling. Her unseen hands tend the badly injured kobold. The diminutive rogue’s wounds are numerous and complex to treat, though she manages to keep his condition from worsening.

Down on the lower level, the snake woman rattles off another spell as she casts a handful of something like small flakes around her. Cait sees no visible effect as she prepares to charge the cruel serpentine humanoid. Just then, the man with snakes for eyes comes trotting out of the tunnel beneath the platform! KILL thisss one, Daergul. I would sssoon have her sssskull for a drinking vessel. She taunts as the two pass each other; her slithering Eastward into the tunnel as he rushes to meet his blood-covered foe. Of courssse Yquisss… The Snake man hisses as he rushes sure-footedly up the stairs to close with Cait in close combat. He slashes at the warrior with his sword, then the snakes coming from his eye sockets lash forward with incredible speed! The seasoned warrior easily evades the clumsy attacks, even smacking one of the snakes with her sword; causing it to recoil from her.

The fierce fighter responds in-kind, loosing a string of curses and cuts at her opponent as she shouts more threats to the retreating snake woman. Every strike finds its mark, dancing around the creature’s strange shield and hacking effectively through his hardened scales. An expression of disbelief comes over that eyeless face as the final blow slips barely past his guard, straight into the abomination’s heart… slowly the thing collapses, rolling to a stop at the bottom of the stairs…

Back on the magical stairway, Yelb begins his lengthy incantation. The troll looming above him grins hideously and takes a hard swipe at the half-orc, but misjudges badly! With a howl, it topples off the platform! Dirty claws grasp and scrape at the arcane stairway, but ultimately it cannot hold on and tumbles into the area of magical silence below! Fibally Yelb completes his ritual and a pair of writhing green tentacles sprouts from either side of his torso, just above his hips!

"WHERE DID SHE GO!" Cait will follow down the stairs and under the platform. Once she sees the darkness, she will dart back around the corner. Unless the snakewoman is visible.

AHHHHHHHHHH Someone get rid of that darkness, My blades need to cleave that woman in two!" Cait will howl in agony.

Ornvul casts Wall of Stone to seal up the east exit [yellow rectangle] and then moves to 5' above the bridge [yellow star] thus:

and turns to watch ~NNE (for snakewoman) and the N door.

She mentally broadcasts, 'I've sealed the east exit and am over the bridge watching the north door. Be ready for snakey Reversing Gravity.'

Yelb looks at the new grown tentacles and waves them a bit appreciating their flexibility. He then draws four swords, climbs as down as possible on the stairs and jumps down to meet the troll. (unless it's too high to jump.)

[Bish: hopping down is fine, it’s still 10 feet so he would take damage except that the stoneskin protects him. Also, a dex check was needed to see if he makes the landing well enough to continue; but cat’s grace makes that highly probable]
[R6]

Yelb draws a quartet of longswords with his various limbs. Hopping down with the grace of a cat, he lands just outside of the magical silence. Slashing with vicious efficiency, every stroke lands on the troll as it struggles to gain it’s feet. Blow after blow connects, sending sprays of black blood and shivers up the warrior’s limbs as the blades carve through bone and tissue. The beast lies still after the first two blows, but the half-orc continues his assault on the motionless form; knowing full-well that every cut will keep the putrid thing down just a little longer.

"WHERE DID SHE GO!" Cait howls, starting down the northwest stairs. Before she gets more than a step or two, something grabs her leg and begins to slither up her side! From nothingness appears a fat boa constrictor as long as a walking staff! Before she can react, it wraps tightly around her middle, trapping her arms! A rattling sound accompanies a sharp ping! as another snake appears on the stairs; its strike glancing off of her armor! Stepping back she narrowly avoids a small python as it too becomes visible! More and more of the serpents seemingly materialize on the stairway, as if by magic!

Another constrictor appears as it grabs her and begins to tighten its grip! Fortunately her magical protection keeps the pressure from crushing her insides together. Summoning her own considerable strength, the heavily armored warrior manages to awkwardly peel off the powerful boa! The second snake however has better position and she fails to free herself from its scaly grip! Hissing and slithering and rattling sounds come from all around the constricted warrior, far more than the serpents she can see should account for!

Meanwhile, Ornvul begins her powerful evocation. Taking a small granite cube from her pouch, she rolls it like a die towards the opening at the east end of the bridge. Guiding the object with threads of magic, she lifts it into position with a weave. Rapidly the cube expands, stretching to fill the intervening space with a solid formation of granite!!! The magically created stone wall seals off the east passage with a thick wall of stone! Quickly the elven scout moves to stand atop the bridge beside her new creation; keeping a watchful eye northward to see if the snakewoman appears…

Jar, weakened and frail from his near-death experience, croaks words of encouragement to his unconscious long-time friend. Slowly he stumbles his way to the wrought iron stairs and begins to climb, doing his best not to draw any hostile attention to himself.

Cait continues to struggle against the snakes as something else stirs just to one side of the stairway… one of the downed trolls staggers woosily to its feet!

[Actions R7?]
[Cait was constricted by 2 snakes. Since she gets 2 base melee attacks/round I’ll let her attempt escape from 2 such conditions per round. However, to be free to attack she has to escape all constrictions on her. When constricting, the snakes automatically hit each round. If cait passes her first attempt to escape next round (and no other snakes constrict her before her turn), she can still use her offhand attack.]

Jar quietly retreats up the stairs. [Mind link?] "I hate to be a coward and no use, but I am retreating up the stairs." Only said if his mind link is active.

"WHAT IS GOING ON! she will emit a loud roar, "JAR WHERE THE F@#$ ARE YOU! THIS MAGIC SHIT IS BECOMING OLD!"

She will rip off any attached snakes, then skewer any she can.

No Ogre power bonus for pulling them off?
I have those attack rolls in my private thread if needed, I will let you do the STR checks for the ones needed.
You also had 16-1, but her base STR is 17?

Yes, the mind link is still active for those conscious. The Ogre gauntlets do count. The check is an 'open doors' roll at -1, not a strength check. For 17 str the open doors check is 10. For 18/00 str the open doors check is 16.]
