This is a Private Thread for Nocturno. It will contain:
-Character sheets (maintained by the DM)
-Character creation details for any/all of Nocturno's characters
-Experiences separate from the party

Hey ok, I have a couple ideas.

First character the one we discussed - Orc/Elf Cleric/Mage

Second - Fighter/Cleric - I have never done dual class before. How would a human look at Fighter First cleric second? Or best the other way around?

Then a Dwarven straight up Warrior tank.

Nice rolls :)

The dual class can go whichever way you want. Just remember, you use your hd, thaco, saves from the first class until you change over. After that you take the better of the two.

Alrighty, Tusked Elf has the same age range as half-elf so he'll be a Multi-classer

Cleric/Mage lvl 11/12
750,000/750,000 xp (900,000/1,125,000 TNL)
Hps: [9d8+4 + 10d4+2]/2

Aaaaand a Metric Crap-Ton of spell-slots:
Cleric: 7/6/5/3/2/1/NA
Mage: 4/4/4/4/4/1/-/-/NA

Nice build. You might want to make sure to learn plenty of protection spells like shield and mage armor

I also highly recommend Raise dead... just sayin...

So for a generic Cleric do you need to pick the cirlces?

Or is that just if you were going to be a priest of a certain god?

At work right now lol and just wondering.

Also too bad no lvl 7 cleric spell..

A cleric (generic priest) has major access to every sphere of influence except the plant, animal, weather, and elemental spheres (he has minor access to the elemental sphere and cannot cast spells of the other three spheres). Minor access means you can only cast 1st-3rd lvl spells of that sphere.

Yeah, lvl 7 cleric spells require an 18 wis, but you wouldn't be eligible until cleric lvl 14 anyway (1,350,000 xp in cleric).

Still, if you make it to lvl 14 cleric, there are items/ways to boost your stat

From the rules forum (pasted here for convenience

Spellbooks:
Any arcane caster can have just enough spellbooks (for free) to contain their spells. List your spells and I’ll roll for pages and how many books you have. This includes bards and any other class that casts Arcane magic from a Spellbook.

Starter spells:
These will be based on the highest spell level an Arcane caster has access to and their max spells/lvl based on Intelligence.
Don’t worry about rolling % chance to learn spells except for those of the highest spell level available.

Example:
Meg made a single class mage at lvl 14 with access to 7th level Arcane spells with 17 Int (14 spells/lvl).
-All spell levels up to the three highest (1-4 for Meg) can be completely filled up to the limit based on Int*
-The Third Highest spell level (5) can be filled up to 75% (10 spells)** +2 ‘freebie’ spells (explained below)
-The Second Highest spell level (6) can be filled up to 50% (7 spells) +1 ‘freebie’
-The Highest spell level (7) can be filled up to 50% (3 spells) +1 ‘freebie’
-Limited Wish can only be gained as a ‘freebie’

*(Spells/lvl will cap at 22 for character creation for PCs with 19 or higher Int, but may be exceeded later in-game)
**Fractions round down. ‘Freebies’ explained below


‘Freebie’ Spell:
This spell will be selected by the DM (I’ll just roll for it) from a list of 4 to 10 spells the player is interested in. This spell does not need to be rolled for % chance to learn. Thus if Meg really wants to get Limited Wish as a freebie, she should make a shorter list that includes it to increase her chances. If she gets a different spell, she can still try to learn it in-game provided she has access to a copy. NO LIMITED WISH SCROLLS.

1-3 full (14)
4 75%(10) +1 freebie
5 50%(7) + 1 freebie
6 25%(3) +1 freebie

Right?

I made a mistake and neglected max hps for lvl 1
Instead of: Hps: [9d8+4 + 10d4+2]/2
It would be: Hps: [8+8d8+4 + 4+9d4+2]/2
Or ([8d8+9d4]+18)/2
