This is a Private Thread for Nocturno. It will contain:
-Character sheets (maintained by the DM)
-Character creation details for any/all of Nocturno's characters
-Experiences separate from the party

I'll be moving your Labyrinth private thread to the hidden subforum shortly. I checked your permissions to be sure you could still access it all for reference.

Ok, ToH player name Stat roll!

[3d4] = 8 [3d4] = 10 [3d4] = 8 [3d4] = 8 [3d4] = 7 [3d4] = 4
Dangit 45 lol... the minimum.

STR - 10
Dex - 8
Con - 8
Int - 7
Wis - 8
Cha - 4

Can I do a wisdom ioun stone and a Pearl of Wisdom?

How does the girdle work? It is 2000 xp, but how do we determine what kind of giant type the girdle is?

Sure, i'll let the pearl of power stack with a single ioun stone.

Since theyre 'bought' and not random i'll say:
Girdle of hill giant str 2,000 xp
Girdle of Stone Giant str 2,500 xp
Girdle of Frost Giant str 3,000 xp

So you have 28 points to add to your base stats, max of 7 in any one before racial and equipment modifiers

No 11s or 12s, but 2 10s again.

I'm torn, these stats could allow me to play almost anything.

Too bad I didn't remember this one.

You can use it, that's fine. It was same roll method and for the puzzle dungeon game anyway

Sweet, well if I use the previous roll I won't probably need to stack the two, but good to know.

Thanks for the info on the girdle, Ck(Counterkid) was also interested.

Ok Beauty with the old Roll... I have a much easier time lol.

Stat----Original----28pts----Dwarf----Final

STR-------9----------9--------9----------9

Dex-------10--------17------17--------17

Con-------9-----------15------16-------16

Int-------8------------14------14------14

Wis------10---------17--------17---------17

Cha------7----------9----------8-----------8

5000
3000 Girdle of Hill Giant Strength 2000
2100 Sword+1 Flame Tongue 900
1100 Shield +2 1000
600 Pearl of Wisdom 500
300 Ioun Stone Incandescent Blue +1 Wis 300
0 Potion of Gaseous Form 300

So, question for this one. The Pearl of Wisdom does not have the limitation of only going to 18 like the Ioun Stone. Could the character be wearing the Ioun Stone going from 17 to 18, then using the Pearl of Wisdom to get up to 19? Or does the permanent affect of the Pearl get "applied" before the Ioun Stone, which means it would not stack as I am trying to do?

That's an interesting question, and i might want to take a while to think aabout it normally; but for the purposes of this specific campaign I will say he could reach 19 by stacking in proper order. Sure.

The problem is that the pearl takes a period of time to acclimate to the user i believe, while the ioun stone only has effect when in use and hovering about the caster's head. If the use of ioun stone is interrupted, reapplying it wouldnt put him back at 19. And i'll have to check if the pearl must reacclimate or not if removed for long

I get it, if the Ioun stone gets knocked off... I would have to take off the Pearl for like 2 weeks I think to get back to 19. Saying no wouldn't have rained on my parade, but I really always do appreciate you working with me.

Happy to. I try to think logocally and consider not only feasibility, but campaign impact and player enjoyment

The extra spells are kind of whatever, but the spell communities that can start happening with high Wis are super nice.

Could I try to throw together a Priesthood based on Clanggedin Silverbeard, seems to the dwarven god of battle in greyhawk.

I can put together to do most of the work, and you can see if it is fair.

Let me know what you think: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dr8irlxl4pmjf ... .docx?dl=0

I based it on the Strength religion, removed some immunities to get access to Major Necromantic. Tried to keep it from being a complete OP religion. Suggestions are welcome to balance it out.

Ok, math check please :)

NWP: 14 = 4(start)+4(Int)+5(Leveling) Wep Prof 6 = 2(Starting)+ 4(Leveling) Lang: 4(Int)

Nwp = 13 (4+4+5 = 13 not 14)
WP = 6 (2+4)
Lang: 4 (Dwarven free)

i'll take a longer look at the proposed priesthood later.
My initial thought is that since it is battle focused i dont see a problem with boosting necromancy for healing purposes (more fights more wounds amiright? lol)
