You know...nobody has ever asked that before. Hold on, let me check my notes... If the character has made a covenant with the god in question, then the odds of intervention are 10+[level]%. If successful, there is a [level]% chance an actual avatar of the god appears. Otherwise, it's just a servant or a spell, or something more subtle. So for Gobax, at level 5, there's a 15% chance of success, and a 5% chance Sirrion himself will actually appear in some form. (I realize those odds are fairly high, at least in terms of divine intervention, but the gods of Dragonlance are very much known to meddle in the setting. Heck, as we speak, Paladine himself is pretending to be a befuddled old wizard and hanging out with the Heroes of the Lance.) If you want to search remains for surviving magical items, I can roll saving throws against magical fire for what they had and see if anything is left.

Thanks ^_^ I'll go for the search first, then if the dragon stays out of range and Grubnick survives to the next round, he'll take a chance on the Divine Intervention prayer

I think we're just waiting for Haahqae's action this round.

Haahque wrote: Shouldn't Haahqae also get a +1 from the bless spell; or is he not William's ally? Ha, well Haahqae did kind of cheese William off earlier, but no, I just forgot to add it last round.

Yes, but the scroll failed its saving throw and was thus destroyed.

Thanks. I was worried it maybe was a little too over the top. But I felt it was necessary to commemorate accomplishing the impossible.

I thought it fit rather well; especially comparing the campaign to an uphill climb with the odds all against the scattered protagonists every step of the way. And of course the major 'final' encounter.
... only 2 more red dragons to go, right?

So should I just assume Haahqae is going to follow them? Or does he have another course of action in mind?
