Act 3, Scene 1: Assembly and Supplication

The 2E AD&D Homebrew Sandbox world of Genwald is large, ancient, and magical. There are many undiscovered/untamed places. The Sun Kingdom (European style, Late Medieval Human NG Monarchy) is the basic Campaign area, but PCs can end up anywhere.

The scars of ancient battles of titanic proportions mark the land. Wild magic zones, fantastical terrain, grand adventure, political strife, and even artifacts of wonder await. Choose your part and come make your mark on the world. A wide array of unconventional races and classes are available.

Katten will make sure the Boar is ready to transport, giving Dran the bones.

Katten will take a watch, ideally middle watch.

Linar says, "I'd like to take my rest early. I'll take formal watch after Katten when the night is at its darkest."

Before setting to sleep he tries to preserve some rations from the beast the Katten brought down.
Abjuration cantrip 1, "Meat so lean: preserved; stay clean".
Abjuration cantrip 2, "Food so preserved to be later served."
Alteration cantrip, "Dinner's not malted, but it's just been salted!"

Findalsip will take second watch. The bright dots in the dark sky are much less annoying than the bright orb that dominates the “day time”.

The group digs in and eats their fill of the pungent but savory feast. Katten makes sure the remaining meat is properly wrapped and sealed after its cooking. Being prepared so, it should last a few days (2-4) in its current condition. If they have any leftovers after that time, they can more thoroughly cure it by smoking so it will last for a week or more beyond. She tosses Dran one of the heftier leg-bones pre-cooking for the young wolf to fret upon, the knuckle full of cartilage and juicy fats. The canine also seems enamored with gnawing at the hooves of the beast and it's musky hide.

In addition, Linar improvises several mnemonic magical mutterings to properly preserve the portions of porcine provisions.
[This will preserve the meat equivalent to smoking it, so it will be good for a week or two while traveling with the party if effort is made to keep it dry and out of the air; or 2-3 times that long if properly salted and stored in a cold, dry place.]

The group sets their watch as the captives settle in for the night. Nocturno takes the first watch, opting to enjoy the evening. After two hours he wakes Findalsip, who watches the night mature, the dark canopy overhead more comforting and similar than the light day and the infinite sky above filled with burning orbs... The Svirfneblin wakes his cousin Jordek for third watch and then shuts his eyes...

...
..
.
it seems to the deep Gnome that little time has passed.. or perhaps much longer, though it is still dark when he is shaken awake silently by the Forest-Gnome rogue. Holding a finger up for silence, jordek moves to rouse Linar, Nocturno and Katten as well. Just as the others stare questioningly at the diminutive cleric, the sound or crashing and snapping branches sounds nearby as something large moves through the underbrush. Dran, already awake, tests the air with this snout. He glares off to the south, hackles rising as a low growl begins to form in his chest...

[Actions?]
=====
Linar uses several Cantrips (16)
Cantrip [1d20]=12
Abjuration Cantril 2 [1d20]=16
Alteration Cantrip [1d20]=5
All pass!
The leftover meat is preserved!

Jordek casts Cure Light Wounds on Nocturno
Jordek CLW [1d8]=8
Nocturno is Healed for [1d6] = 8 hps!
Nocturno is upgraded to 'Barely Scratched'! [26/31 Hps]

Linar goes alert, pulling out longsword in one hand and a pinch of coloured sand in the other.

Does 'large' sound like two legs or four legs? Walking or charging? 10' high or 30' high?

During Dinner Nocturno will use his spells on anyone still with any injuries that can be magically healed?
(Using them all knowing he can get them back in the morning)
Let me know how many to roll.
===================================================================
Is there a fire going? If there is, Nocturno will put his back to it, and focus in the direction of the noise.

Katten rises quickly, she draws her bow and notches an arrow, placing arrows in the ground before her she prepares to shoot.

Linar advances past Katten, off to one side so as to not impede her line of sight, but far enough ahead to maybe afford her some protection.

If any of the freedmen rouse, Findalsip will hurriedly move to quiet them.
