“Anyone have a clue about where to start finding these things we are looking for? These look like books and scrolls. This sort of stuff doesn’t span time like good solid rock.” Findalsip remarks.

Bullock scans the shelving and finds small brass plackards deliniating the various categories of records. Shortly he discovers the section on Clan records.

This appears to be it. These volumes are on the clans, clan histories and such which should include their current and past tartans. The minotaur takes out the scrap of plaid and drags a small table over to the shelves. He lays the cloth on the table for reference and takes up one of the illuminated volumes, beginning to leaf through. I can take first watch for the evening, I will be up pouring through these records for some time anyway, but any assistance will be appreciated.

Jordek inspects the fireplace and begins stacking some of the reserved coal and tinder. It's a bit cold down away from the sun for my taste. Anyone mind if I lay a fire?

Findalsip still very pleased with the encounter with the Pech, isn't so very sleepy. He will try to help Bull with his matching game. While rummaging through things he spies a scrap of parchment reading "Clan MacGregor: distillers of the very finest Dwarven Spirits" "Never heard of it" he mutters.

Hearing no protest, Jordek lights a coal fire in the fireplace. He uses levers built into the fireplace to adjust the flue and allow the smoke to escape through a hidden chimney.

A watch is agreed upon, with Bullock and Fin taking the first watch, Linar and Katten in the middle and Nocturno and Jordek for the end. Katten and Dran Curl up on one of the overstuffed sofas and Jordek finds a suitable cubby on one of the bookshelves high off the ground.

Bull and Fin search through the tomes for several hours, some of the plaids come close, but the pattern or color is just not quite right.

After their shift ends, later in the night Jordek continues the research and stumbles upon the pattern... in the Tome of the Banished.

The plaid proves to have been Blackrock clan. The only information about them seems to be that they fled North and West after being ousted, shortly before the fall of Dorinkak, and that their the details of their treachery were to be sealed away. Little else of relevance lies within the tomes here...
