Nocturno (Private thread) Labyrinth of Madness

A classic 2e Puzzle dungeon for High Level characters
Beware, this one is substantially longer and (IMHO) even harder than the legendary Tomb of Horrors!

[Sorry, Holiday stuff]

Moving on from Hatch B, Jack leads the way to Hatch C and begins to descend. The room seems the same as when they first discovered it, the massive iron door closed and depicting a snake-headed giant battling and destroying human sized creatures. The iron bars I used to prop the door open are gone. Landro remarks.

"That is probably worth noting to the others above." Jag will comment, with his head just sticking down the hole.
"Do you think we can open it safely with just us?"
===========================================================
"Let me make sure the ladder and the rest of the room are the same before we start messing with that door."
=============================================
I'm not reading the main thread since my characters aren't there. Unless they actually find something out.

[No worries, they are mostly just trying to decide questions to ask]

Jack searches the room but finds no new traps or issues.

Was it Jack that triggered the door last time?
=============================================
"Well, the fellow we found in there had the marking. It is probably worth the look, but do we have the things we need to check it out? You probably don't feel like catching that door again." He looks at Landro.

(Last time Landro just opened it and thdn a round later it swung down onto him, but he caught it. One could conceivably hammer spikes in to keep it from flipping)

Landro agrees (how is jack getting into position? He would probably nees to be 40 ft up to spike it properly)

"MagicMan, I could I trouble you for the flying magic again?"

"Yes, but let me out of the room before you put anything in motion."

Once they are in position Jag enchants Jack with the power of flight. The rogue sails up to near the ceiling to see that the door runs on a track, but is abke to fall out of the track at the top. Placing stakes at a certain spot which should prevent the door fro, swinging down. Landro lifts the door, which glides easily upward until it stops at the stakes. The deep room beyond appears empty and featureless as before

lol that did not give you any direction to go.
==========================================
Jack will fly down into the room and illuminate it to make sure nothing is missed.

If he doesn't see anything new > "On to the next hatch!"
======================================================================
This will be the one with the stairs, then the bone, then the hinged pit(I think)
Then that lastly leaves the one that wasn't a dead end.
======================================================================
Jag will continue to inspect things up above while waiting. Just slowly looking things over to see if anything changed, minor details even.

Jack inspects the area but everything seems as it was before. They make their way back to the snakehead room and jack continues down into the next hatch (A). Flying past the circular room and into the circular stairwell he begins to descend alongside the stairs. Before long he emerges into the square room with the false door. Everything so far seems undisturbed and unchanged since their last foray...

How deep are the bones?
Could he easily sweep them all to one side of the room?
(Testing the cleanup crew)
"Could we trigger this floor? I can fly around and spike this too, so I can check it out inside. He is asking Landro for a hand pushing it open, and holding it for a moment.

[The bones in the first room are about shin-deep across the entirety of the 30ft diameter room. It would be possible but time consuming to clear, he could probably make a clear walking path in about 30 mins alone or faster with more people. Landro would be willing to help if he can squeeze into the hatch with a dex check]

He will simply clear a 5x5 area.
Then if Landro can get down he will get him to help with pegging the Collapsing floor open.

Trapped stairs that Jack would remember?
