"Give me one end of your rope, please. You hold onto the other end in case the pit edge crumbles," asks Jerry, then taking one end of a rope from Merrick (or whoever's nearby that has a rope) and looping it around her as she advances towards the pit-trapped Pyros. With a brief look upwards before reaching the ege of the pit Jerry casts Magic Missile sending a pair of azure bolts of arcane energy, one at each of two of the centipedes between her and Pyros.

@ Tristen - To keep things moving I've ad-libbed the bit with the rope. If no one nearby has one, isn't willing, or timing doesn't allow then just ingore, please.

Pyros is quickly surrounded by five centipedes; all of which snap at him with their tiny mandibles! One of the foot-long insects manages to clip his heel, and a strange numbness threatens to overtake him but the Kender's Constitution bears him out. He responds in kind by killing one of them with his dagger and injuring another.

The rest of the centipedes scurry up the pit wall in search of other prey. Two of them sense the Gypsy fighter down the passage and rush to bite at her. One connects but, she too shakes off the poison. Seeing that the way is blocked by enemies, Jerry follows behind and fires a pair of magical bolts at the insects; destroying them instantly! With her opponents gone, Adrestia hustles into the room and ties a rope onto a nearby Stone feature before tossing the free end into the pit. Hardly a step behind, Elsa follows and slides down the rope to challenge the insects harassing her friend. Once I smash these I'll patch you up.

As the passage clears the rest of the group rush into the room. Merrick and Mira fire slings and bolts into the pit, as the Warriors dispatch two more with their swords. Far to the back, Pytor and Adran make their way sluggishly through the black fog and clear to the other side.

Adrastia moves North 15 feet and ties a rope around a nearby stalagmite, then throws the end into the pit.

Jerry follows North 15 feet into the room so as not to block the passage.

Elsa moves North 25 feet into the room and slides 20 feet down the rope, then moves 5 feet to engage C5 in melee
(moved more than half, cannot attack this round)

Merrick moves 25 feet down the passage

Jerry readies her mace and if a creepy crawler comes in range, advancing to make it so if possible, tries to flatten it.

Looking at the rope, Pyros stabby stabs, then will move to the rope.

Karl raises the silver blade once more, testing its balance and swing as he waits for the next creature to appear, "Climb the rope! I'll pull you up!" He howls.

The centipedes in the pit continue to attack the Kender, one landing a successful bite! The diminutive rogue's limbs begin to stiffen and he staggers back a step; his legs refusing to cooperate. A strange numbness come over him as he falls back onto the scattered bones and the foot-long insect crawls over his paralyzed body to approach his ally! Elsa curses colorfully and shouts back to the others. Shit! Pyros got bit and he's not moving! I can't help him with these things down here! She takes a swing at one but the bones make it a difficult prospect.

Above, Artanis and Sir Karl deal with the remaining centipede. The redheaded ranger's sword misses by a narrow margin, and the creepy crawling thing manages to snap its chittering mandibles down on the Knight's leg before he is able to shake it off! Sir Karl does clear himself of the insect, and returns the treatment with a perfectly aimed slash that sends two ribbons of dead centipede sailing into the far wall! Pytor and Adran join the others. Adran takes a shot at the bugs below to no avail. Mira and Merrick fire their own weapons with similar result...

Cross keeps vigil at the rear guard.

Pyros one not prone to fear doesn't understand the sudden weird feeling. He lets out a silent scream in his head. Eyes starting to dry as he stares unable to even blink. Watching the things go for his friend.
