Indicating the walls Jerry says, "I can't find any secret doors here and nothing magical that we didn't bring with us is showing up. Pyros's thorny bracelet is, of course." WHile the Detect Magic is still in operation Jerry wanders around looking.

Mira moves back to the chute, draws her crossbow and begins to slide down, keeping herself perfectly balanced as she does so..

Mira draws her weapon and invisibly begins to slide down, making only a faint sound. Pyros immediately dives in and tries to control his descent but immediately slips onto his butt! The Kender careens into the back of his invisible companion! Mira's control proves so stable that not only does the crash not disrupt her balance but she manages to halt Pyros' fall!
Gently they slide to the end where the chute opens up into a rectangular man-made chamber. The walls are covered in runes that seem to ooze death and evil into the air. Eight armored skeletons stand like soldiers at attention as the pair slide down. A dull red light springs to life in their eyes and they turn to face the newcomer. With a clattering of bones, they move as if to attack with their deadly looking two handed swords.

Everyone except Mira, Jerry and Pyros is back in the room with the bone-bridges

On his way down Pyros yells:

He straightens his clothes after Mira stops him.
"Oh dear. You may want to stay invisible."
He looks up the ramp.
"JERRY MORE FRIENDS SEND HELP!"
Pyros is going to stay in the doorway as much as possible, and dodge/parry(DMG Parry 2AC) Hopefully limiting the amount of skeletons that can reach him.

"Everyone, Pyros and Mira have gone down there." He calls over, motioning to the group, damn he should never have let them go alone. Sliding the mace into his belt he begins to slowly ascend The rope, hoping the others get the idea, he goes slow, careful, hand over hand and legs wrapped around the rope as he moves down.

MIra pulls back, the crossbow was useless, she readies a magic Missle, ready to fight if needed.

Jerry calls out loudly to the others who begin taking turns sliding down and rushing to aid. Mira makes some space for herself and prepares her magical missile spell, while Pyros sets himself up at the bottom of the ramp in the hopes that the tight space will limit the number of attackers that can actually reach him. Karl reaches the opening just in time to see Jerry clutching her holy symbol before sitting and scooting into a small tunnel where she quickly slides out of view!
Jerry slides down the ramp, narrowly avoiding colliding with the Kender. Holding the symbol of Mystra she calls upon her goddess. Like shouting through a fog she reaches desperately for contact and an almost overwhelming flow of divine power rushes into her! The symbol glows with a blinding light and by the time the trio's eyes adjust they can see all of the skeletons backed against the far wall, shielding the red light in their empty sockets from the holy power presented!

"Are we certain there's no other way forwards here? And that none of these creatures possesses anything we need? " asks Jerry. "Otherwise folks could pick on one skeleton on each end. if I'm honest, I feel much happier if these undead are permanenetly disposed of."

[Jerry can tell that these are ordinary skeletons, just with a lot more impressive armor and weapons. They are all wearing Breastplates that seem rusty and old but likely still provide quite a bit of protection. They likewise carry 2 handed swords, but to be honest they too appear like one really good or bad shot would sunder them.]

"Well that was impressive." MIra gives Jerry a side hug, invisible but definately there, she lets her spell relax for the time being. "Will they attack of we start to destroy them?" She asks as she releases the Half Elf, checking out the room.

Karl assesses the situation for a moment before taking a deep breath and charging after the two women, what sort of a Knight would he be if he let them go alone? He braces himself and tries to stay upright.

Jerry jumps a slightly at the invisible hug then leans into it, "Ohh thank you." She smiles, genuinely pleased to be appreciated but the amazingly competetant Mira. "Only the ones we attack."
"It should be fine if we start from opposite ends," she says as Sir Karl appears. The half-elf tightens her grip on Mira's arm briefly and involuntarily then explains, "Uh I meant the skeletons." She flushes and pauses, uncertain if she needs to explain anything, or even whether to mention it, to Merrick.
