Fin clubs a glancing blow to the side of the goblin's head, staggering him and making his weapon go wide of the mark. The fighter woman wields her pickaxe, but the leg irons keep her from reaching him properly. A rock sails out of the crowd of captives, rebounding off the goblin's forehead with a solid Crack!. The tribesman crumples to the floor. Hah! Thake that yoh stupid, dirty, grubby, no-riddle knowing, poo eating punk! Nobody messes with my Gnome-boys! the high voice of the little forest Gnome taunts the body. Suddenly two more goblins round the corner, producing a timely Eep!

Beyond the wall the party seems to be turning the tide as the Minotaur's twin swords cut down the nearest worg and his rider in quick succession! The worg leader shouts in unintelligible rage as he gores the bull-man with his trident. Rounding the corner more and more goblins come, but seem reticent to engage in the one-sided slaughter. Amid them the smoking Shaman raises his arms, Dey is almos done! We jas winz soon! Let Ossunin choke da land in smoke! He marches forward with zealous purpose, chanting and waving his arms about; smoldering greasy strips of what must be fatty flesh in his hands. He tosses one past the party and the smoke billows with unnatural speed and thickness, blacking out the area so the archers cannot see!

Nocturno, blinded by rage, cuts down the Worg before him; undaunted by the spell. Katten and Linar cough and choke behind, unable to find their targets through the magical darkness. I'll deal with that in a moment. The Drow assures the others. Jordek, unencumbered by the obfuscation thanks to his spell, hurls his magical stones. One bounces almost harmlessly off the Alpha Worg's snout, while the others hit only the walls. The Alpha closes the distance, snapping and clawing at the Minotaur. The orc in the back turns his crossbow towards the armored elf and fires. The small bolt dips past Nocturno's guard, lightly injuring him.

Nocturno will attempt to put down the rider, then try to take up the space between the leader and the Minotaur.
"I can't believe I am helping a Minotaur..." He says much louder than anticipated, probably due to the rage.

Findalsip cast heat metal on the section of chain near the lock of the chain. “When it glows red, pound the red area to break the link your section will be free and you can help fight for your freedom!

Bullock wields his deadly one-two bastard sword combo yet again, critically injuring and finally felling the monstrous Lead Worg in mere seconds! Black blood coats his bared blades, running rivulets in the gritty grime of the cavern floor. Gnaw, shouts obscenities as his mount goes down, but the crazed cavalier keeps his footing even as his canine mount crashes to the cold stone. The last remainibg worg and rider, suddenly alone before the onsolaught, back rapidly away; tail tucked and swiftly retreating to the south passage out of sight. The orcs begin to withdraw as well, though the crossbow wielder takes an ultimately ineffective parting shot.

Linar calls upon the natural powers of his dark heritage, purging the magical darkness from around them; leaving only the natural dark of the cavern. Sorry about the blessing, folks, but we needed to see. The Drow remarks. The forest gnome begins a prayer of his own. You're doing great, Bully ol boy. Try not to catch every spear though. Save some spear-catching for the other pincushion! Jordek jibes as he lays another healing spell on the Minotaur, repairing all but the smallest cut.

Nocturno, still posesses of an almost other-worldly rage, cuts down the other fallen worg rider. Suddenly Worg-master Gnaw stands alone to face the devastating front-line. Behind, the chanting of the smoke-shaman continues as the tribal cleric conjures a curse to inflict upon the foes of the wet-rocks! A quartet of shaken but undiverted goblins form a small semicircle before their medicine man as he continues. With a whistling whip, an arrow grazes the smoldering . Yoose flesh weel Smolder an Smoke in Ossunin's bile for tens hundreds yeeers! The shaman screeches in rage at being interrupted. A quiet expletive soon follows as her bowstring snaps, perhaps a consequence of the Wetrocks' curse?

On the other side of the wall Fin prays quietly to the Lord of Deepearth; reaching out to alter the very state of the metal chains binding the captives. The two goblins do not stand idle during this blasphemous display of Gnomish worship! Gorme the Forest Gnome hurls another rock, sending one of the goblins to the ground in a heap. The fighter-woman interposes herself between the deep gnome and the last goblin. With a wild screech he charges, but with a blood curdling howl he staggers back; the end of the pickaxe protruding from his skull. I am Aldgild. My young sons are captives here as well, though they keep us separated. I will not risk them, but hear me. If you free us, those of us willing and able to will help you kill these goblin scum. She says grimly

As spell takes hold of the metal works to break the link holding the first group captive. He knows it will take precious time but if he can free one group they can help turn the tables against these evil goblin scum and the flea bitten curs they ride. “Is that right phrasing?” He muses thinking back to an illusionist night years ago.

Not one to stand around watching others do work, Fin takes up a nearby pickaxe. The mining tool feels familiar in his hands and he hefts it easily. Watching the iron links, he waits until it begins to glow with a pure ruby red light. With a single skillful swing he strikes the link, shearing it free and splitting the chain! Quickly the four slip the now-severed chain through their shackles! Though the collars remain around their legs, the line no longer restrains them to each other or the wall!

Back at the site of the battle…

Seeing only one foe against their front line, the Minotaur backs cautiously away from the goblin leader; trusting his ally to finish off Gnaw. He drops his swords and draws his steel throwing spikes. With a powerful swing he hurls one of the spikes, sinking it into the eye of one of the goblins; killing it. In a near-bljnd rage Nocturno steps forward and cuts down Gnaw, nearly bifurcating the leader of the Worg riders!

The eerie chanting of the Shaman intensifies as the smoke billows. The cleric, almost black with soot, peels off one of the greasy smoldering strips of some kind of hide and raises it aloft! The scrap bursts into flames at the end of the incantation! With a wicked sneer he hurls the flame at the armored elf! The fire flies true and flashes in a small burst, scorching the cleric of Corellon, and catching his cloal ablaze as well! The goblin's hand, still burning, peels off another strip which also ignites! The light spoils the infravision of all around, causing the combatants to squint against it.

Linar fires his bow and Bull throws another dart but the sudden light sends their missiles past their marks. Growling what is no doubt some Felis curse, katten sets her bow and broken string aside. Striding forward she draws her longsword and slashes a significant gash beneath the Shaman's ill-fitted makeshift splint armor. The Shaman's defenders stab mercilessly at the ranger, but only one manages to slip her guard; wounding her lightly. A final dart from the Minotaur blooms in a goblin skull, dropping another of the defenders.

Findalsip hands the closest members now freed some useful tools for fighting. My friends are through there pointing at the crawl way. Wherever the other goblins went in that direction your can ambush them for the rear. It’ll be like smashing a pest with two rocks!

Enraged, and alight, Nocturno marches to the bottom goblin guard and attacks.

Chitt chatters and squeals causing Jordek to blink his eyes open, What's that smell? Oh S#it! Pincushion! You're on Fire!! Grabbing a blanket from his pack he rushes to unfasten and pat out Nocturno's flaming cloak, extinguishing the enraged Elf. The warrior-priest marches forward, heedless of the blaze, attacking with his blade. Meanwhile the Minotaur sends several sharp spikes towards the enemy. Bull strikes down one of the defenders, but his other shots go high to avoid his allies.

The Ranger slashes again, scoring another cut against her hated enemy. The Smoke Shaman slings another searing flame in return, singeing the Felis! Linar looses a pair of wooden missiles; grazing the last tribesman's temple…

Aldgild listens to Fin's proposal, You should know, some of us have been down here a while. There is a side passage just to the south that leads West to where the Worgs are. If we are not careful, they will hear us…
Shhh! Gorme hushes her frantically, There are more coming! He whispers.

Nocturno cuts down the last guard as Katten scores another strike against the Shaman! The goblin hurls one final flame but the blow sends his fire off-course! No more lames appear in his hand and the cave quickly returns to darkness. Linar and Bull send several shots down-range but nothing else connects.

Meanwhile Fin inspects the anchor points. With a few well-placed blows one could dislodge the anchor from the wall, freeing a line of 4 captives to move together. As he contemplates this he hears the sound of combat nearby as Aldgild, Gorme and Jeram fend off the goblins. One of the tribes-goblins goes down, but the next stabs the inexperienced farmer in the belly. With a pitiful cry the man falls to the ground, motionless and bleeding out…
