"Yeah, you do, and No, you can't have one," Martin mocks, his voice eerily reminiscent of Bjarg's. He continues, in his own voice: "You should be nicer to people, Unibrow. She just wanted to share some food."

[Jenara]

"Leave him, if he doesnt want share my food thats fine, he's still grumpy I tied him up all those weeks ago. You really should get over that, don't you realise those villagers would have killed you?"

Not moving her hand from his leg she smiles, "I was trying to save you."

"Thank you Martin, for making me smile."

[Stik]

"Don't mention it. It's sort of my job.
"I actually lost my job recently - well, I mean, I didn't lose it. I still know where it is. But when I go there, there's someobody else doing it."

[Jenara]

Esse looks at him strangely, still resting her hand on Bjarg's leg, tickling his inner thigh slightly.
"People Pay you to do this? Unbelievable." She shakes her head "Is that what brings you here? Wandering around a hole the Gods have forsaken??"

[Stik]

"Well, yeah. Sometimes they pay me to do this. Sometimes they pay me not to do it. Sometimes they pay me to do it to other people. All that matters is that I get paid.
"Well, that, and if someone has a good time along that way, that's a good thing, too. Even if it's just me. A great philosopher once said that all humor is based on cruelty, anyway."

[Jenara]

"Yes, but disgusting treasure aside, you are not being paid for this?"
"Oooo" she smiles seeing the Axe Martin Carries "Nice Axe"

[Stik]

"Paid? No. Actually, I'm not entirely sure why I am here. I was in Sigil, I performed the song of Saranrap and Yellobac, had some adventures in the street, and then I was here. Which isn't all that bad, since things in sigil weren't going all that well. But when do they?"

*Meanwhile, back at the ranch....* Oops, wrong story.

*After a full night of bonding, resting and healing, the group is ready to make a decision about either moving on to one of the other doors, and what is beyond them; or......?*

"Right, so if it's all the same to you..." Bjarg drawls as he tightens the straps on his armor "I want to know what's behind the locked and trapped door. If it's trapped, it means they're trying to keep people OUT. Because of that, I obviously want to know what's in there!" He finishes with a swift, final tug on his strap as a wicked grin crosses his face.

[Jenara]

Esse grins, "You read my mind..." She stands her eyes focused on the bottom of the stairs.

"What do you think?"

[Kafen]

"What if they were trying to keep something in..." The cleric asks with dark humor. He tries not to break out in a smile. "Then again, it is hard to say in a place setup to test people."

[Jenara]

"Or..." Esse Replies, "What if they are there to keep US out? No one locks and traps a door without a reason? With Great Risk comes Great Reward Master Cleric..." She winks waiting for Martins Response.

[Kafen]

"Good point." He looks to Martin to see what he thinks about it.

[Stik]

"From what I have seen so far, this does not appear to be the kind of place that anyone uses. It's more like some kind of fun house - "
Martin suddenly takes a step to his left, and faces right, interrupting himself: "What? Are you having fun?" Then a step back to the right: "No, I am not having fun, although it has been profitable - the precious stones were nice, and that hair-care product might just make me rich. But I digress.
"What we need is a plan. We don't have a plan? Then let's have a cake. The cake is a lie? Fine let's just wing it, then.
"We have a door. It's the only door here. Let's let the new guy open it."

[Jenara]

"The Northern door between the Paintings? With the Damn Snakes?" She shrugs, "The door is not locked or trapped, so yes let him open it, as he seems intent on following us..."
