The half-elf frowns. "It well could be a plague, although if that is so, it will have likely spread by the time we arrive. It also could be someone experimenting on elves for whatever purpose...perhaps in hopes of learning the secrets of their longevity and using them to extend their own lives." He pales slightly at the thought.

"We are becoming pessimistic, though. Let us hope it is nothing so bad as any of that, at least until we have further evidence presented to us otherwise."

Riding in front Angel pays no real attention to the exchange between Daos and Papa..

Finding an Elven Lich would be interesting, something she hadn't done before, but right now her aim was to reach their destination by nightfall.

Riding close to the wagon she checks her weapon, but says nothing.

Papa lowers his voice further and says to Daos, "You do realize, Daos, that you are the one possibly at greatest risk in this?"

"Whatever it is, disease or poison or monster or abominable arcane process, we know it has targeted an elf. It might choose another as its next victim."

"All the more reason for me to accompany you, then," Daos says with a smirk. "I can be the bait that draws out the one responsible." Shaking his head, he adds, "Worry not for me. My magic can protect me well enough."

Catching the last part of the conversation Angel speaks, suddenly
"If that is true Papa, as a full elf Ellias would be at greater risk, we half breeds may not be targeted so.."
Turning to Hiric she offers him a nod. "Do you plan on reaching our destination today?" She smiles at Salia.

[ooc]Whats the weather like? Does it look like it is going to hold out for the journey?[/ooc]

Bastian ambles along astride his mule, listening to his companions ramble on, catching snippets of their conversations.

Papa just shrugs at Angel's remark. "It's just a hypothesis. Who knows why it was an elf body that was found? Not even the elf might, if he were able to speak."

The morning's trip is mostly uneventful. Hiric protests when Fraso calls a break for lunch, and the pair argue (or do that thing you do when you and your boss disagree and you don't dare tell him off) briefly after which Fraso grudgingly decides to call a short hold for a cold meal on the roadside.

The skies to the west look threatening by lunchtime, and mid-afternoon brings a slight drizzle which steadily picks up as the afternoon wears on, bringing thunder with it which grows increasingly louder. The sky to the west is blanketed with clouds, and the sun obscured, bringing darkness early.

The road is questionable - wet and muddy. It's still passable, if all goes well, but if things go poorly you might be looking at a broken axle or an injured mule.

Angel frowns at the road ahead, the drizzle doesnt bother her, she had fought in worse before, the wagon however was of a major concern.

Riding away from the wagon she approaches Elias, "Will the wagon cope with this? It seems a little rough going through here.."

Praesul could handle the ride, the horse rears up slightly adjusting to the rougher road, she turns he head slightly checking on the wagon behind, "That thing is slowing us down.."

Daos frowns as he looks up at the rain. "How much further do we have to go before reaching civilization?" he asks.

"Depends on what you mean by 'civilization,' I think," Hiric replies. "Another hour or two in the dark. Or else we find a dry spot to spend the night out here."

"Hmmm," the wizard says in thought. "Light is not an issue for me, as I can see fairly well even in darkness. Nor does the rain bother me much. What say the rest of you?"

[ooc]Ok, so it looks like Tempest is rather busy, so lets assume that Angel has had a nice little chat with Elias and she returns to the Wagon... [/ooc]

Angel rides back on Praesul, slightly damper than she was before.
"The dark wouldn't be too much of a problem with my elven sight, but the wagon..." She looks up at Hiric, "I suggest we find a place to stop for tonight, its not going to be comfortable, but I think its wise."

She looks at the party questioningly "That is just my suggestion."

(OOC- Oops sorry. I have been a bit busy.)

"I'm sorry for being so short with you earlier, Angel. My mind was on other things. I imagine we can continue on if we keep the pace down. There's enough of us that can see in the dark as to watch for holes, and I'd rather spend the night out of the rain if it's all the same to you."

"You are forgiven, Am I being overly cautious? If we get stuck we are sitting targets. However I asked your view as you are the expert here."

She doesn't smile, she simply stares at the wagon, the light rain soaking her hair.
