"If these sky beings spirited these people away, what does that have to do with the corpse we found? Are you speculating it belongs to sky-being, or one of the peoples they captured? And what would it be doing down here, drowned like a rat?" Daos asks.

"The men in the sky portion is the silly part. Like the legends which say that lighting is made by the gods, when we all know that lightning is a natural process - made by elementals and merely directed by Tempestus. But too many legends speak of tribes being taken - too many for it to be fiction.

Fraso grins, and his tone is patronizing: "A question which is much on my mind.
"But as I said, my expertise lies in different areas, and I know little about history or the transmogrification of living creatures. The MageGuild has people who do, and I am certain they will want to get their hands on our friend here. I have sent a message to an old associate of mine at the Eastfair house, but we dare not wait for someone to come to us.
"We need to go there. Immediately. But I imagine first thing tomorrow shall have to do."
It is noteworthy as he says this that Fraso's manner is more direct than usual. And there is an undercurrent to it. He may know more than he is saying, and it is apparent that whatever he does know is troubling.

After a brief voyage to get out of the bonefish's hunting ground, Bastian and Angel spend the rest of their day hauling crab traps and fish nets. The deckhands seem to get a kick out of working the landlubbers as hard as possible, if for no other reason than to show strangers how hard the deckhands themselves work for a living.

After a day in which the two adventurers see more seafood than any other in living memory, Filaris announces that it's time to go home. Dead tired, Angel and Bastian are asleep before the vessel makes it back to Orr's Bay.

Waking up groggily, Angel comes to a sudden realization that the incessant roll of the boat had slowed considerably, they must be back at Orr's Bay. Rising quickly she checks on Bastian and removes her hand from his leg where it had obviously sat for some time.

"Have we returned?" She asks the nearest Deckhand as she rises to her feet, rousing Bastian with a light kick.

Upon his answer she goes to collect her clothes from the wheel house (assuming they are still there..) and then she sets about finding Filaris.

Captain Filaris is not aboard the Horn of Marius. In fact, apart from Bastian, it appears that the only person on board is the short, dark-haired deckhand who you know to be named Feredi. Feredi is puttering around on deck, doing not much of anything at the moment. "Fil went to the pub," he says when asked. "He say to tell you can drink there tonight. You real fishermen now."

======================================================

Fraso spends the remainder of the afternoon rummaging through the books he's brought from Diotua and taking notes on his research. The stuff is Ephebian to Elias - completely incomprehensible. Daos has slightly better luck in puzzling out what Fraso is working on. In addition to his own notes on the body, and the books he had been looking at earlier, he also has a copy of Pemrys Enchiridion on the table, a treatise concerning various enchantment/charm spells.

"Thank you, we shall join you shortly. Can you tell the Captain we will check in with our employer first." Angel gives Feredi a friendly grin and drags Bastian towards the Bungalow, (leaving the jacket there, unless it is very cold.)

Upon returning she nods to the others, giving a polite greeting and goes to her room to change.

-----------------------------

Returning sometime later her is loose, she is dressed in a simple green tunic, grey hose and a grey cloak, the quality is quite poor. "My Lord." She bows to Fraso, "We sailed to the site where the body was found, and I entered the water. With Bastian's aid I was able to reach the bottom, I found nothing." She watches for Fraso's reaction, her fingers playing with her hair.

"I was starting to think he had fallen from the sky." She laughs at that statement, obviously impossible.

"We discovered a rather large fish they call 'Bonehead' it is possible the fish ate any further bodies.. I saw no vessel, but... It is a big Ocean." She sits in a chair, playing with a dagger on her belt, waiting for Frasos reaction.

"We are invited to have a drink with Captain Filaris, however if my services are required, I would happily stay." She adds, looking directly at Bastian.

"You tell him youself. I am working now. Standing watch. Always must be someone aboard a ship." Feredi replies, then goes back to the crab trap he was more-or-less repairing.

==================================

"More of this 'sky' nonsense," Fraso grumbles, rolling his eyes. "So good of you to come back, Deva. We have an urgent task to undertake, and could have left today had you not been off on your little maritime jaunt.
"But feel free to go drinking, if you like."

Angel glares for a moment, then she tries
to stay impassive. "Sir, my 'jaunt' was an attempt to help." She frowns "It failed and I feel... I feel Like my time was wasted. However, if you wish to leave this place, we can do so at first light." She bows her head, she knew Fraso was an ecentric, they all knew when they signed up... She had heard of these moments, it was best to ride them out.

"The purpose of my 'jaunt' was to get the trust of the sailors, which I have done, I cannot get rid of the feeling they will be useful." Putting her hand through her still partially wet hair she watches Frasos reaction. "And, excuse me for saying but you gave no intention of wanting to leave, thus I felt our trip was worthwhile."

"However, all that aside, I will not leave your side again, you have the word of Lena Galius on that." She tries to smile, thinking of the drink she was missing.

"We need to get this thing to the MageGuild. The nearest real chapterhouse is Kaport Bay. Or maybe in Atirr. We seem to be about midway between the two, on the maps I have seen, but there's no telling which road would be quickest. Ultimately I expect I'll need to bring the body to the University, in Rauxes, but the Guild can arrange that."

Further discussion is interrupted by a knock at the bungalow door. Two quick knocks followed by the door opening to reveal Neeri standing there. "Good evening, all. Lord Culla summons Master Fraso and company to the villa." There are two soldiers standing outside - just two, and no better than the typical soldiery you have seen so far, certainly not enough men to harm your group.

The walk to the villa is quick, but it is worth noting that there are no people about. Everyone is indoors, except for a few pairs of soldiers here and there.

There are torches and lamps lit in the courtyard of the the villa, and refreshmehts set out on a side table. Not a party per se, but Culla does have company. The mayor is deep in conversation with a trio of elves. Standing nearby is a larger group, perhaps eight or ten elves, armed but unarmored.

Neeri quietly approaches the mayor and interrupts his conversation. Culla beckons Fraso and walks halfway across the courtyard to meet him, with the elves at his side. "Master Fraso, please meet my guests, Cirin ti Tidomil, Cuvai ti Cirin, and Liri-Lirdend-Limumble ti Corylus. Cirin represents our elven neighbors and came to me to discuss an incident which occurred earlier today. I have assured him that the matter will be addressed. Perhaps, Master Fraso, you would be so kind as to inform my guests of your findings. I shall return momentarily."

Culla ducks out of the conversation as delicately as possible and goes to refill his wine glass while Fraso goes into droning conversation mode.
"No matter where you go, there you are."

Angel leads the troop to the Villa walking alongside Elias, she keeps her sword at her side, but otherwise come unarmored.

Walking into the Villa she stays behind Fraso, and slowly blends into the background, listening intently to Fraso. She had meant to ask The Necromancer about his findings, but... She had tried using her brains and initative, but that had failed..

She was here for her sword and her strength, that was obvious, thus she is polite and keeps an eye on the Elves.

She hadn't had much to do with her Mothers People, she didn't really fit in...

The elf introduced as Liri-something listens to Fraso. When it becomes clear that Fraso uses far more words than necessary to convey the information, she lets her glance wander to assess the people that came in with him. If someone locks eyes with her hazel ones - exactly the same shade as her hair - she will nod in greeting, then let her glance wander further. She makes sure to get all the information Fraso offers, however (what exactly is he revealing?).
There's more to me than meets the eye...

Elias exchanges a friendly nod with the newcomer, but otherwise remains silent and out of the way.
