Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"The Blue Lady, yes she was supposedly all powerful, she died in Palathas or so the story tells did she not?" he asks, not noticing the reaction to him kissing Galenye's hand.
"As for Dragons, I truly hope I never get to see one. Last time we saw Dragons it meant pain and suffering for so many people, I would not wish that on anyone."

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"Yet when there are dragons, people are much less likely to see me as a monster" Karathos muses.

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"Don't forget about the good dragons, though," Targin reminds them. "Heck, it's possible you may even see one or two at the Tower. Anyway, don't worry too much Karathos. While the citizens of Palanthas might flip their foppish wigs at the sight of a minotaur, the knights recognize that your people are an honorable sort. As long as you don't cause any trouble, they shouldn't bother you any."

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
Galenye smiles lightly at Erastin's gesture, but she doesn't have a whole lot of time to react before he rejoins Targin. "Always with the chivalry," she says softly. Though, she seems to find it all a little endearing. "I wouldn't mind seeing a dragon. Not one of the evil ones mind you, but maybe one of the good ones. I remember hearing that the silver dragons are the most sociable ones."
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"Sorry I thought the good dragons went without saying." He says hastlily, "Yes to meet a Silver, even a Brass, many knights dream of such things."
Looking at Karathos he smiles, "You will be fine my friend, be yourself, all you need to do."
He watches Galenye for a moment, obviously thinking something, before returning his attention to the Tower.

Karathos nods and falls back to walk between the two mage ladies.

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"How come the rest of us are walking while the dwarf and soon to be knight are riding a horse?" Galenye asks curiously. "I'm going to have to find someone to give me a nice, long foot massage after this journey."
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"My legs aren't as long as the rest of you. I need a pony or else I'd slow us all down!" Targin protests. "Besides, we're almost there anyway," he mutters.
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"I've heard that there is a country where the knights are called »riders«" Karathos offers an explanation. "They alone would ride into battle and direct their troops of foot soldiers"

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
Galenye snorts at the very idea of being some sort of foot solider. "I'm not a foot solider, and I only follow orders when I feel like," she says to the minotaur before looking back to Targin. "I thought you were riding because you were old," she teases.
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"Old?!" Targin bellows. "I'm only 75 years old. I've got my whole life ahead of me!"
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"I didn't say you were a foot soldier, Galeyne. I just offered and explanation why our knight-to-be has a horse and we don't. Being mounted is the essence of a knight. And often enough, the war horse is his most precious and costly possession."
But if your feet are so tired, you're welcome to ride on my shoulders. That holds true for you, ladies, as well" he says with a quick bow to Jinali and Salwen. "Only you would have to take turns. Unfortunately, I cannot carry more than one of you at a time."

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"I believe he could carry us both." Erastlin taps his horses back, "jump up, what sort of a knight would i be if i didn't help a damsel in distress?" he laughs loudly.
Re: Day One (The Arrival)
"Ash can carry two as well, so long as it is not me and Karathos." He reaches down to Selowen, extending an arm to offer help up if she desires.
"He will get some rest soon enough."

Re: Day One (The Arrival)
Galenye looks between the minotaur and Erastlin, as if debating which offer to take. "Well, it would be fun to ride on your shoulders, Karathos," she admits. "It probably would set a bad imagine though, and I don't want to embrass Erastlin too much." Smiling, she reaches to climb up behind Erastlin on his horse.
