Each of the men do possess a waterskin, each half-full of fresh water. Pooling them altogether should be enough to at least keep the badly damaged Dekker and Artemis hydrated, so that the party need not use their own water stocks to do so.

Babushka does her best to water the two animals and keep - or get - them in good spirits before they continue on the tracks of the princess and her last companion.

The party sets off again, following the tracks northeast. The mountains, looming ahead of them, grow closer. But they don't get very far. After about an hour of travel, Artemis suddenly comes to a halt and refuses to go any further. Her tongue lolls from her mouth and she is covered in a sheen of sweat.

It is 110 F.
Everyone suffers a temporary -1 to STR, -1 DEX, -2 to CON and -2 to hit in this heat.
Because Locky and Babushka are riding, not walking, they get a -1 to -3 (rolled randomly) modifier to any damage they take from heat exhaustion.
1:15 PM - 2:15 PM
Locky makes two CON checks (1d20+1): 6, 5. No damage.
Babushka makes two CON checks (1d20+1): 10, 4. No damage.
Jerrard makes two CON checks (1d20+2): 5, 22. Jerrard takes 3 damage from heat exhaustion.
Ulster makes two CON checks (1d20+2): 7, 10. No damage.
Thuskar makes two CON checks (1d20+2): 11, 6. No damage.

"Hmmm." Locky turns away from the warrior with a frown. She strokes the horses side gently, letting Paladine heal her.

At Ulster's comment, she looks up. "Ulster, please be silent. Locky has done far more than the rest of us on this trip. In this heat, all of us are bound to make mistakes. Let's not argue among ourselves. Being united may make the difference between success and failure."
When Locky mounts again, Babushka says "I'll walk for a while, if that's OK with you all. And Dekker might get jealous." She walks beside her donkey if no one objects.

Locky's prayer seems to completely heal the horse up, bringing her back to full strength.

Jerrard "hmmm's." quietly, shooting Ulster a quick glance, "Agreed Babuskha, come let us move on slowly, perhaps you could consider using more of those spells tomorrow?" He asks as she remounts the horse.

Babushka looks at Thuskar, then sighs. "I guess you're right" she concedes. "But I will ride Dekker this time. Would you please lift me up?" she asks Jerrard.

"Certainly my dear." He grabs the Gnome round the waist tightly, lifting her up onto the horse with a smile he rubs her back and steps away. "Let us move."

Once Locky is back on Artemis and Babushka has mounted Dekker, the party sets off again, still following the tracks.
This time they make it two hours before Locky notices that several of the group are looking like they're about to collapse on the ground from the heat. The mountain they are approaching is still a mile away, but neither Jerrard nor Imani look like they'll make it that far.

Locky expends what magical healing she has left on the two most damaged by the searing heat. It's not much, but it may buy them a little more strength--hopefully enough to reach the mountain.
During the respite, Thuskar approaches Imani. "Is there anything special about this mountain we're heading toward?" he asks.
