Tas considers the torch issue as he plucks stones from the dragonmen. Briefly, he considers the implications of using the parts of their own people against their forces.
Though, he secures his wounds as his wounds as a primary caution. He searches among the humans for useful items to secure for their famlies, too.

Drawn out of his stupor by Sturm, Riverwind stands and stares the knight in the eyes. With a deep pause, he finally responds, "Of course, you are right, we must camp for, at least, the night."
He bends to cradle Goldmoon in his arms and turns to follow Sturm wherever he leads, too caught up in grief to argue.

Sturm opens his pack producing his bedroll and lays it out near the brush. "Lay her here, she will be safe."
He turns to Magpie, "can you take her pack? And lay out her bedroll? I need you to look after her little one."
"Tas rest, caramon could you watch with Eben? Tika? Would watching with me be acceptable?"
"We plan to enter the fortress, our young elf knows the way." he says to Eben, "is that enough information right now?" it was the truth, this was hard, how did tanis do it?

Tas collects the stones he used during the battle and places them back into his pouches.
The party moves from the battle site, so the smell of the corpses won't bother them or put them at risk for whatever scavengers are attracted by them.
"Fortress? Wait...you don't mean...Pax Tharkas?" Eben gives a low whistle. "Wow, you guys have balls of steel. Well, hell, count me in. My sword is at your service. The resistance has been trying to get into that place for awhile now. It's damn near impenetrable. If you guys have found a way inside, though, that's great."

(OOC: So just two watches then? Caramon/Eben and Sturm/Tika? You'll need to rest 24 hours before Goldmoon comes to, so that's 12 hour shifts for both. Also, did Riverwind ever reclaim his dropped bow?)

(yes, two watches, assumed we could do 6 on, 6 off as it were so both groups do two 6 hr shifts. Everyone else is quite injured. The suggestion of two NPCs was to aid the shifts as it were.)

Riverwind lays Goldmoon down on the bedroll and fusses about for a while, making sure she is comfortable, and that the bleeding is still stopped. After a while of doing nothing but sitting and staring at his beloved, he figures that there isn't much more that he can do, her fate in in the hand of Mishakal.
He stands and consults Sturm, "What would you have me do?"

"I'll keep the watch with you, Sturm," Tika says. "But I am going to need my rest too," she points out. Now that things have calmed down, she is finally starting to show how tired and hurt she really is. Though, she seems determined to remain strong no matter how hurt she might be.

"Oh my Tika, I didn't realise." Sturm lowers his head in suprise, "You are quite hurt." He gasps, seeing the injuries on her body.
"Caramon, could you take first watch with Eben?" He asks, "Tika, get some rest, you know you need it." He looks to the young girl, she was being so strong. "Wake us up in six hours, the rest of you get some rest too." He takes a quick look at the fallen elf, smiling at the little dwarf that sat watching over her with such care.

A full day of rest passes, and nothing bothers the group. Eben and Caramon watch for six hours, then switch with Tika and Sturm, then switch back, etc.. Finally, on the morning of the following day, Goldmoon weakly arouses from her slumber, finding herself weak, hungry and very thirsty.

Goldmoon accepts his loving care, not hiding her exhaustion and need of help. "I feared I would have to go, too." After eating a little and drinking as much as she can, she asks Riverwind: "Please bring me the disks and join me in prayer, so I can recover enough to heal the worst of our injuries."
(OOC: Can we do it this way: she prays for 10 minutes to get a CLW, then heals herself up some before continuing her prayers and services with more vigour, to heal up the others? She will ask for curing spells only (1st and 2nd level), plus continual light and magical vestment)

She then turns around, looking for a stone or similar object that is small enough to be put into a pouch but still quite durable. "Mishakal offered me insight on how I can provide light to all of us" she explains and bows over it. Soon after, the object begins to glow. "This will last for a while" she says, smiling, showing it to the group. "When we need light, one of us can carry it openly, otherwise, it will rest safely in a pouch." she pockets the light.
(OOC: everybody is in double-digit HP again, and there is one Cure moderate and two Cure lights left for emergencies)

Once Goldmoon eats and drinks, she begins to rest. After a few hours, she feels strong enough to pray for more spells. It takes her four hours to regain all of them.

Oh, I forgot about that. Could Goldmoon lay hands on Laurana at 2:00 PM and then use the two Cure Moderate at 8:00 pm? Would that work? It would be a shame to waste such good rolls... and I'd rather use the lay on hands because they give a fixed number of HP, using any of the spells with a bad roll might not give her enough HP to get her to +1!

Riverwind retrieves the Discs and joins Goldmoon in prayer. As she is resting, he feels it is ok the leave her and retrieves his bow and scouts the area a bit before turning his attention to looting the bodies littering the meadow.
