An expedition with the "Seagull"

"So which spells would you suggest that we prepare for the day? I haven't studied yet today. Unfortunatley, for the time being, it seems that I can only retain one real spell each day. Oh, and maybe we should discuss ideas of what can be done with cantrips, if we coordinate them well, we can at least cause a distraction, I think." Kim says eagerly.

"Ha!" Echo brags, "I can retain at least two spells a day."

Amon can actually retain three, but he says nothing of this. "As for what spells to memorize today, I cannot say. I have no information to really go on. All we know are people in Dunreese are disappearing. We have no idea what is behind it or what we'll be facing. Without more information, it would be impossible to guess what spells we might need."

He continues, "As for cantrips, Master Soulstaff never really emphasized them. He said they were a waste of time. The few I know, I use for cleaning or keeping bugs away."

Brax gives a little smile as the mages leave, they would need to look after each other now.

Heading over towards Gunter she brushes her hand on his side, "No one seems to what we are going to face." She looks out to sea, her thoughts elsewhere.

"We were sloppy in the house, weren't we? I was too... Exuberant wasn't I?" She giggles a little, "I need to hold, let you warriors take the lead, and step back."

The ranger continues to whittle as he listens to Brax. He thinks on her words for a second before replying.

"It's tough to not feel like that when you're on the other end of a blade. If you can learn to control it, it can save your life. If you can't, it could end it. That's what seperates the true warriors from the villagers."

[Jenara]

"I would prefer that is left to you warriors. I have been used to defending myself, it is strange to rely on ones such as you and Vee.." Her face screws up in thought, her hand still on the Warriors side.

"I trust you, and thank you for your words to Drake, he was mindful I assure you."

"Speaking of Vee, where is she?" Finding one of the crew she heads to the the Stern, before finding the sleeping Vee. "Pelor, watch over her, let your light shine down on her." Reaching forwards she strokes the girls hair softly.

Gunter blushes inwardly (he hopes) at Brax's words and touch. As she walks away, he calls after her and does his best to sound noble.

"Don't worry...I'll do everything I can to see that no harm comes to you or the others while I still draw breath."

Vee honestly don't want to be unfriendly, but she is asleep so she can't control herself... just as Brax strokes her hair she gives off a loud snooze.

Just like being waked up from her own noises she opens her eyes a few seconds later. "Yikes!" she says, seeing the figure on her Bed, but then she rekognize her. "Hi Brax..." she smiles. "Is it already time to get up again? My shit head is still hurting..."

[Jenara]

"Sorry Little One." Brax giggles at the private joke. "I was worried, I simply came to see if you were ok." Reaching forwards Brax feels the girls forehead.

"You are overheating, you shouldn't drink so much my dear." Tutting slightly she reaches into a pouch, producing a small herb. "Take this, on your Tongue, with Pelors Blessing."

At about mid-day, a balding halfling with an impressive belly comes out of the most starboard door of the bow section. He is followed by the young halfling who had earlier guided Vee to the ladies' quarters. The older halfling stretches and takes off his apron, while the younger one hurries to the till to talk with the Redbeard, Gulliver and the helmsman. The Redbeard and Gulliver come down and disappear behind the starboard door of the stern section, followed by the cook. The young halfling had gone back through the door he first came out, then comes back again with three plates, spoons and a steaming pot which he brings to the captain and first mate.

When he comes back, he approaches Gunter, Searos and the three mages. "Your lunch is ready, if you follow me to the galley, the kitchen I mean, I can give it to you and you can eat it in your quarters. The Captain doesn't like people to eat on deck."

Brax stays below with Vee, assuming someone would come and get them if needed.

Gunter glances at the mages and shrugs.

"Strange custom...but oh well. Lead on, young sir!"

Once Amon acquires his lunch, he takes it to their quarters and eats it, before taking a nap until we reach their destination.

"Ah, You don' have to worry, I'm fine... this isn't my first hungover" Vee grinns "but maybe my worst"

Saying "thank You" she takes the herb and put it in her mouth. "tastes good! What is it?"

If Brax don't start a long conversation Vee will fall asleep again fast.

"Just a little something to relax your stomach, you will feel better soon." she replies, her voice low and soft. "The art i am told is to build up a resistance to drink, but.. Perhaps not drinking is better."

Searos smells food and comes out of the cabin. He looks about, a little bleary eyed but clearly sniffing the air.

"Food?"
