Voyage of the Horizon Seeker

"So be it," Imaran says. "If there is nothing else, I have other duties to attend to."

[Jerrard]

"Indeed. There is nothing else, thank you for your time." Jerrard bows, heading back on deck, he looks for Imania and Malika. When he finds the woman he places a hand around her arm, moving Malika away from the others. "Come with me my dear, please?"

[JadedDM]

"What is it?" Malika asks. "We were in the middle of planning tonight's show."

[Jerrard]

"Sorry, I did not mean to be so blunt my Lady." He bows. "I was having a conversation with your friend the Captain." He shudders slightly. "He knows of your power, the same one Wahid used to his own ends, and fears you will shall we say 'Enchant' his crew."

"I have been trying to convince him that you will not do so." He releases her arm, trying not to fix his gaze on her.

"Would you like me to talk to him?" Malika asks. "He and I go way back, I'm sure we could reach an understanding. Although...would enchanting the crew be such a bad idea? Think of the possibilities if we had an entire ship of our own to command. We could go anywhere, do anything..."

[Jerrard]

"While the idea is. Shall we say interesting, I have to say no." placing his hand on her shoulder, shaking slightly he tries to keep his voice level.

"How would it be any different to you enslavement? And you wanted to kill Wahid for what he did to you." he winks, the meaning obvious to him, "These people are not our enemies, we treat them with respect."

"As for the captain, he does know much of you it appears. Your past is immaterial as long as it has no bearing on your future." he liked this woman, perhaps it was the danger, she was certainly beautiful, exotic, could she tell?

[JadedDM]

"Fiiiiiine," Malika sighs. "If it will end this lecture, I'll agree to just about anything. If that's all, I really need to finish working with Imani about our routine tonight."

[Jerrard]

"Sorry I did not mean to lecture you." Jerrard blushes, letting go of her. "Let me know what magic you need."

[JadedDM]

"Don't worry about it, we can talk later," she says, returning to Imani.

(OOC: Anything else anyone wants to do before we introduce Xel's character?)

[Jenara]

(Nope. Locky is exploring, Jerrard is happy.)

Jerrard heads off below, reviewing his spell book. Mirror imaged dancers would be a good touch.

Breakfast turns out to just be iron rations, not unlike the ones the party carries themselves. But the captain did manage to secure a barrel of oranges for the trip, and everyone is allowed one with their breakfast.

Hours pass as the ship makes good time out of the Khurman Sea. Locky wanders around on her own. A number of sailors give her a cold look, but otherwise leave her be. Babushka is largely ignored, although the goblin gets a little nervous around her, as the two races have a long history of enmity. However, it heads down below early on and stays down there for the rest of the day. Jerrard, Imani and Malika work on their little show. Ulster and Thuskar largely try and stay out of the way, although they mingle with the crew a bit when permitted.

It is in the afternoon before anything of real interest occurs. The lookout calls out at around the Tenth Watch, "Debris on the port side! Looks like a ship went down!"

The captain and first mate come out on deck and look off the port side of the ship. Turning to the Baaz sailor, the captain informs him to search for survivors.

The Baaz climbs up to the crow's nest, then swoops down with his wings, gliding around the wreckage. After a few moments, he lands on the deck. "Captain, there's a man hanging on to a barrel. Only person I saw."

After getting directions, they adjust course. Sure enough, a tanned man, half-conscious, is clinging to an empty barrel to remain afloat. "Ahoy there!" the captain calls. "Have you strength to climb up?" Another sailor tosses a rope down from the railing.

Temeral looks at the rope for a moment, then decides that his life is more important than his pride. Upon boarding the ship he checks his equipment to see if everything is intact." I am in your debt." He says.

[Jenara]

"Lets go see!" Locky announces, running off to where the man was found, "Oooo Someone new." She grins, getting as close to him as she can, her symbol visible round her neck as there really isn't any where to hide it.

[Jerrard]

At the other end of the ship Jerrard watches the women intently, trying to figure out how to help, he decides that he should use the spell he gained from the Shroom, 'Mirror Image' to make multiple Imani's dance. Malika was far more experienced and didn't need such aid.

"I will aid you with magic, some minor illusions, such as I was taught by My Tutor when I was young, before I took up the sword, that should help the show." He smiles, turning around at the call of a survivor from a wreck. "Should we investigate perhaps?" He asks the ladies.
