"The horses will be with Praesul, he would not leave them alone." Angel suggests, "And you couldn't have my dear, I didn't realise either."

Giving Bastian a nod she takes Liri's hand "My gear is in the room, I will come with you. Shall we meet by the gates in an hour?" She asks, sheaving her blade.

[Jerrard]

"Dalea is in the stables also, all I have is on me now." Eldon says with a shrug, "An hour works for me, can't wait to get out of this place."

[Jenara]

"Praesul will take your horse under his wing soon enough." Angel laughs.

[Jerrard]

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me." Eldon grins, "So yeah, I'll get my horse ready then."

[Ismaels-Legacy]

"I will spend that time convincing Gertrude to come with us, I suppose!" Bastian says with a wink.

[Jenara]

"Praesul has adopted her also." Angel gives a simple lopsided grin. "She will not take much convincing I am sure."

Liri pays for her breakfast, then walks back to the inn, gathering her belongings. In the stable, she watches the group of horses, since there is still ample time until the hour is up. She looks at Praesul and Casta in particular, trying to imagine what quality a foal born to them might become. When Angel comes to take Praesul out, she will follow with Casta.

Collecting the rest of her gear, Angel stands beside Liri and watches the mounts with her arm wrapped around the Elf. "We have to hit the trail again soon, once Daos is buried, we will be moving on."

Eldon collects his mount, and stands apart of the others, he watches Angel and Liri for a long time, they looked happy.

...and Bastian tugs at Gertrudes reigns, trying to get her to leave the nice warm stables. After trying to coax her with sweets, soft words, and other niceties, he's resorted to brute force; though with little luck.

(I am sure the headstrong Charger will have something to say about that)

Poppa leaves the inn with gear in hand and heads to the stables with a look of sadness in his eyes. He stops, and looks back, gives a deep sigh and continues his walk to the stables to gear up a horse.

(sorry for not posting everyone something happened and I couldn't log in for a long while... its sorted out now).

When your group arrives at the courtyard fronting the guard barracks, there are half a dozen men hanging about, none of them are currently armored, but their kits are arranged neatly in the shade of the wall. All of them are in their early thirties and in their matching red and black tunics have the look of legionaires, although they wouldn't be here if they were still enlisted.

There is also a young woman in the courtyard, who you recognize as Optio Viletti's clerk. Upon spotting the group she gives a little nod and disappears inside the barracks. Viletti appears a moment later, with Defender Vecchio right behind him. "Brought the whole crew, did you?" he says, then grins. "Not a problem."
"Defender Vecchio has prevailed upon me to detail a number of men to investigate your story. Ordinarily such a task would fall to two of my scouts I understand that Maughus will be along, and your pathfinder. So I can use my own rangers elsewhere. I have chosen a few volunteers, former cavalrymen, to accompany you.
"I would like for you to show my men the site of your confrontation, and let them investigate and search for evidence to corroborate your account."

[Jenara]

Angel stands beside Praesul, keeping herself close to Liri, she eyes the former Legionaries with interest as she ensures her blade is safe for travel.

"Angel." She raises her hand, "It will be interesting to see what we can find." Giving the group a glance, she looks over at Maughus. "We should stick to the middle of the group, and let the scouts take the lead."
