Little and Ash share a look, then Little says: "An interesting story surely is attached to that comment, one we would gladly hear at the evening campfire, to draw thoughts away from this carnage."

"How far to the steading of this hermit?" Octos asks, "for we should see if he knows aught."

"A few miles, halfway down the ridge, he holes up in a cave with his animals - a few pigs and a goat." Ash replies.

[Jenara]

Angel says nothing, giving the Cleric a glare.

"A Hermit who grows mushrooms?" Eldon asked, "Found some of those once on a trail, was a strange experience, ever seen yellow horses?" He asks with a grin, "And Blondie in a wet shirt eh? I think that is a story that needs telling."

We should check to see if the hermit is okay, but also, we must be careful. He may not like others to come visiting, and might have planned accordingly. He could provide us with some info on these creatures.

Liri nods at Papa's remark. "Yes, we should not all go, I bet he'd rather shoot at us than talk to us if we did. One or two who know him, and one or two from our group?" she suggests. "I would be ready to go, unless you who know him say he objects to elves"

"You should go, and..." Angel winces when she says the next part. "And Bastian. I will watch the mounts."

Bastian simply stares at Angel with a big self-assured smile on his face. After an uncomfortable amount of time he turns to the two guides and simply says, "When we get back, ask her how cold the sea water was!" As he turns to leave he looks over his shoulder and winks at Angel.

Angel says nothing, watching the man leave.

"How cold was it?" Eldon asks with a grin.

[OOC] Who's Brax? [/OOC]

"There is an area where it starts to get rocky - the bedrock comes up to the surface - and there's a small cut in the hillside, like a box canyon. That's where Ullo lives. A few can go into the canyon while the rest wait at the mouth. I just wish we had brought something to trade," says Ash.

What might he except as trade? maybe we have something on our persons? He is a hermit.. maybe something that we might consider as ordinary for us will be exceptional for him in trade?

"What would be suitable to trade?" Liri asks Ash. "Perhaps, by chance, we have something useful with us."

[Stik]

"We visit him a few times a year, mostly when we are out here hunting, and bring him things he can't get out here. Salt, wine, that sort fo thing. One time we even brought him pastries," Ash replies.

Liri thinks of the content of her saddle bags. Does she have anything suitable? (I was thinking of a herb/salt mix for seasoning meat)

Eldon waits watching the interaction between the others, this group were a little strange.

"No seriously, what does he mean?" He asks, nudging Angel gently.

[Jenara]

"Cold enough." Is Angels icy reply, brushing him off with a movement of her body she steps towards Liri. "I have a few herbs, mostly for seasoning." She interrupts.

Bastian casually comments over his shoulder as he leads Gertrude around a bit (You have to keep her moving otherwise she'll stop and not want to move again!), "I think I should have plenty of domestic goodies to share. I'm sure he'd be a bit grateful for some flour, salt, yeast....maybe some barley...." He seems to be drifting off into thought. "I wonder if he's let me use his hearth to cook some cakes....."
