CH. 5: The Sending is Coming from Inside the House

[Jenara]

Shaking her head, Arei sips her wine and motions to the two women, "Let us go an assess the situation shall we?"

[Nuke]

This all happened way too fast for the poor half-orc, but when the issues of rooms was decided, all she could mutter was "Ah...thanks."

Before the barkeeps gets away, she stops him "Pitcher of ale please,"

[Jenara]

"It is the only sensible option." Arei says with a shrug, "I don't like it too much..." She didnt say the last thing she was thinking.

Despite the late hour, the waiter brings Val a full pitcher of ale, asking 2 silver for payment. "If there's nothing else, I'll be heading to bed. Please don't leave a big mess, as I have to open by myself tomorrow."

[Nuke]

"OK." Val responds.

Carrying it up the stairs, Val heads to the room.

"All right, in the morning, I'm going to seek out Brock," Jocelyn says. "And I can sleep on the floor," she adds.

[Jenara]

"You have a bed. Use it." Arei says with a hard edge to her voice. "I'll be upstairs." With that she heads up to the suite, taking the opportunity to wash up she changes into her white dress, and locks her equipment away. She retains a stiletto, tucking the sheaf into her belt, and sits on the bed quietly.

[Breila]

Ouragana follows Arei and Val upstairs. She too tries to wash up and changes into her spare tunic, which drops down to mid-tigh and thus can serve as nightshirt.

"Has anyone except me taken something from that island?" Ouragana asks the others. "Or is there something else you might like me to check if it's magic? One of you should go and ask the others, while I prepare myself."

She spreads out the pearl necklace she bought, the stone arrow and the dagger she found on the floor. Going through the formula in her head, she waits for the others to bring the items they want to get checked.

[Jenara]

"The first mate of the Mermaid aided me." Arei explains, shaking her head. "The potions are healing."

Eying Val and the pitcher she shoots the half orc a grin. "Planning on drinking that yourself? If not I'd like to join you, being somewhat merry might just make this situation bearable."

[HorizonsDream]

Jocelyn looks to Noah as the others head up to Areilon's room. "Well, I guess I'm not part of the girl's club," she says to the halfling with a small smirk. "Not that it matters much, I guess. I'm having a hard time connecting to them anyway."

[Jenara]

Standing Arei walks to the door, not giving the half orc a chance to reply.

"I need to do something." She says as she leaves the room and heads downstairs.

"Would..." Arei pauses. "I'm sorry, I was rude, I often act rashly, too much time with humans perhaps?" She grins, "Please, join us, let us get some drink... Please?" She asks with open palms.

[Nuke]

"Go ahead, Drink." Val looks down, embarrassed, almost. "Sorry, did not offer."

The half-orc strips off her armor before continuing.

"All I have is this," Holding up her new trident. "All I know is that it is better than my old one."

[Breila]

"Put it next to my dagger, then" Ouragana says to Val. She waits for a few minutes for Arei's return, thinking the elf had left to ask the others about items to be tested. When this doesn't happen, she leaves the suite herself and goes to seek out Jocelyn and Grey.

"Sorry to disturb you" she says each time after knocking on the door, not opening it, "I am going to check if items we recovered are magical, do you have anything you'd like to have checked?"

Ouragana checks with Oren and Grey in their room, but neither has any items to have checked for magical auras.

She finds Areilon and Jocelyn, along with Noah, still in the common room.

"Oh, here you are" Ouragana smiles at them. "Do any of you have items to be checked for magic? I would do it now" she asks.
