Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"But I don't have a disguise to give you," Echo says.
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"Maybe can make one?" he asks. "Big cloak to hide Keet's handsome kobold features?"

Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
Echo looks at the cloak she is wearing before she takes it off and hands it to the kobold.
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
Keet eagerly puts the black cloak on, although it's far too large for him and trails behind him considerably. The hood does help cover his features, although makes it difficult to see. "Yay, yay! This great! Maybe Keet get his own cloak someday, too."

"Well, we are going to be in a town," Echo says. "I guess I could look around for a cloak for you, if you want. One that actually fits."
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"Happy day!" Keet cries, waving his arms beneath the heavy cloak. "Keet will soon have first material possession to call his own!"

Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"Come on. Let's join the others," Echo says in amusement.
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
It takes about half an hour of travel to reach the town of Granitehome. The tunnel eventually opens into a massive chamber somewhere around 800 feet wide, at least. Several stone-walled inns and gemshops line the walls of the vast cavern. Scores of gnome walk the streets, going about their day-to-day activities.
"Argis," the pharise says. "Take the pilgrims to the inns, get everyone settled. Try and keep them in inns that are close to each other, if all possible."

Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"Keet, it is probably best you don't look around too much," Echo says. "So I suggest you stay in my room. Though, I do have plans to look around a little bit."
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"That probably good idea," Keet says, looking around nervously at all of the gnomes. "Keet probably keep door locked, too."

Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
Echo nods in agreement with Keet, as she walks towards one of the inns with the pilgrims. She wants to at least know where her room is before she heads off into the city to stock up on her own supplies.
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
The pilgrims are all put up in several inns that are nearby each other. The one Echo and Keet wind up at is called the Stonecutter's Grotto. Despite the name, it's actually not a grotto at all, but well-lit and clean. However, everything is made in gnome-size, which means the chairs, beds and tables are all smaller than Echo is used to.
When they get up to her room, she finds two beds, both gnome-sized. This suits Keet just fine, who quickly calls dibs on the left one and starts jumping on it excitedly. Echo realizes though, that even at her smaller height, her feet will likely still dangle off the edge of the bed.

Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
"Well, looks like I'm going to be curled up in a ball tonight," Echo says with a shake of her head as she looks over the beds. "All right, try to keep out of trouble, Keet," she says as she walks out of the room and closes the door behind her. She walks back down towards the main area, and towards the owner or worker of the inn. "Excuse me. Where could I find somewhere to stock up on supplies, and maybe get some new clothing?" she asks.
Re: CH. 3: Guardian Mountains
The gnome who is working the bar is a middle-aged man with black skin, receding brown hair, a large nose and purple eyes. He frowns as Echo speaks. "Supplies. General store, two blocks down." His accent is thick, and it's clear he doesn't get much opportunity to practice his Common. "Tailor, across town square. Clothes be too small for you, though." He changes the subject quickly. "What is creature you bring into room? Not gnome. Too small for dwarf or elf."

"My familiar," Echo says simply.
