"My dear you missed a very romantic g'love story" Even Pyros winces at this pun.

[Namenlos]

"A lot of people miss the importance of that story." Remarks Yasir and then speaks again after the bathing comments. "A warm bath beats rotten sewer water any day of the week!"

Yasir, Pyros and Elsa: Wayfarer's Rest, the bar

The Halfling looks back and forth between the men. You guys are nuts. I’m glad you took a bath, though. What were you doing in the sewers anyway? Wait, if it’s like the glove story don’t tell me. Is the musician on break? You know, she’s the only one I’ve seen all day without blonde or black hair aside from you two… maybe she’s not from around here either. I thought I heard her singing in Elven, earlier… The Inkeeper returns from the kitchen and speaks to the bartender for a moment.

Lang check at Inn: Yasir, Pyros, Elsa [1d100] = 79[1d100] = 99[1d100] = 57 Yasir fail, Pyros fail badly, Elsa fail.

Pyros failed so bad (>95%) he thinks he understands.
Nocturno, make something short up for Pyros to have ‘interpreted’… have fun with it … and gods help us all…]

[Nocturno]

"Did you hear that!?! That man just told that man about a treasure map! And that he wants him to offer it to us so we can claim the treasure. But he said there are grave perils, and we need to be drunk before he offers the map to us!" Pyros will be vibrating with excitement!

[Put me on the spot lol...]

[Jenara]

"Krynn survived, although it's probably not quite the place that it used to be, not since the Cataclysm." Mira whispers, "Its been over three hundred and fifteen years since the temple fell. Lots of things have changed since the temple fell and the world was torn asunder.. " wracking her brain she tries to remember the story. "They say the temple fell into the sea, many things were lost."

"But we endured the dark times, the Holy Orders left, the Wizards locked themselves away, as did the Knights.." She sighs and looks directly at him, "We are at war, There are dragons in the skies, some say some great evil has returned."

"But anyway, the Kender on our world are friendly, happy, and impossible." She lets out a laugh and finishes her meal. "That one is from Krynn too, the other two, I have no idea."

"So that's me, if you think about it I am a Gypsy, I am a Traveller with no home right now. So my stage name is quite correct." Sipping her drink of wine she recoiled slightly from the taste, "I'm still getting used to the taste."

[Namenlos]

"Now that's a quest I can get behind! Bartender! More ale, I'm on a quest!" Remarks Yasir after hearing what Pyros has to say.

"Do you speak the language here? I don't, so it will be hard to ask the bartender any questions... for me. I also don't speak elven, do you?" Replies Yasir to Elsa.

Once Yasir gains the attention of the bartender so that he can order another ale to complete his newest quest he also attempts to mime out wanting to talk with the singer. Pointing to where the small stage was set up and pretending to sing and then making a mock searching look.

You two really are insane... Elsa says, shaking her head. You don't know the language, silly she said to Pyros. none of us do. And why would we need to be drunk, first?

The men waste no time sinking into the first pitcher and it is about half gone when Yasir mimes another. The bartender looks at him askance, but brings out another.

I don't speak their language, but I do speak elven and gnomish and, of course, halfling. Their language actually sounds a little like elven, but it doesn't really help much.

When Yasir mimes about the singer, the bartender seems to think he wants to know when she'll be back. He mimes back eating.


Mira and Merrick: Wayfarer's Rest, Kitchen

Merrick listens attentively to every detail, but maintains a stoic demeanor for the most part. For us it has been perhaps that long. For hundreds of years we were isolated, left to ourselves in a joyless land cut off by a billowing mist. The old ones said it was our punishment for not intervening... There was no elven land for the aged to pass into... like the human concept of purgatory... The sky was a dark mockery of Krynn... only the dark moon is said to remain, and the constellation of Tahkisis... the other gods lie faded, and Paladine's stars scattered... He shrugged, since he had known no other world.

Perhaps as few as 15 years ago, a fortress appeared.... it mimicked that of Lord Soth on Krynn, but... I was young then, the land was plunged into war by the hideous evil that he had become. In less than a decade he conquered the whole of it, and visited such horrors on the Kender that they learned fear... and well. The land is named Sithicus, now. The borders open only occasionally for trade... that is how I escaped... aboard a river-vessel here. Shaking his head as if he did not quite understand. I know not why I've told any of this. Perhaps it is because now, separate from it, I can begin to let myself remember... But I have taken too much of your time. If you wish to talk later, I will remain after your performance.

[Jenara]

"i appreciate all you have shared, rest assured the elves are safe, I even heard a story of a Silvanesti riding down the Thon-Tsalarian if you believe such things." Shuddering at the images he created in her mind Mira. "This place is dangerous, lethal even. Please, watch yourself. And you can always trouble me, thank you for trusting a stranger." With that she stands and turns lute in hand. "If there are songs you wish me to sing, please... Tell me, it's nice to know the audience are listening."

With that she leaves the kitchen, lute at her side, ready to continue performing, her mind spinning... Hundreds of years, Lord Soth, evil Kender driven mad... This place was nothing short of a nightmare.

[Nocturno]

"I could have swore that is what he said. That or he wants to dump us out into the alley!"

"Well I speak Kender, Elven, Dwarven, and Goblin." Pyros will have a broad grin. Partly from the drink, partly because he can list more languages than Elsa

[Namenlos]

"It's that mans quest, if he wants us drunk who are we to argue? I mean like I was saying, last time someone wanted me to go into the bottom of the sewers, if he just wants me to go to the bottom of an ale barrel then I'm all in!" Replies Yasir between drinks.

"So now he wants us to go into the back alley? Should we be drinking? or ...wait... dump us in the back alley?! it's an ambush!" Yasir will finish these last comments in a voice that rises as he speaks. Finally pushing himself away from the bar as he finishes and spinning to face those behind him, one hand grasping his sword hilt. Yasir will whisper to his new companions out of the side of his mouth. "Do either of you feel drugged at all?"

[Nocturno]

Pyros will jump up to his feet, or down rather from the stool "Drugs!?"

[Jenara]

"Will you please be quiet!" Mira shouts in common as she walks from the kitchen to the common room, her red hair flowing around her as she advances towards them, lute in hand.

"Master Kender, you are not drugged, Guilliam is far too good a host for that. I spend a month without seeing a Kender and I trust one to pass over a simple message." Giving Elsa a nod she regards the warrior with some interest, "I suggest that you take your things to your rooms, then sit down, try not to drink away my tips for the evening.. And Master Kender, try to stay out of Trouble." With a smirk and a turn Mira heads to the stage. "I have a set to play."

Yasir, Pyros, Elsa and Mira: Wayfarer's Rest common room

Elsa’s head whips back and forth between the two men as they work each other into a lather. She begins to protest several times, but each new statement runs over her words. Finally, when the warrior turns and reaches for his sword, she jumps forward and holds his arm to keep him from drawing. You two really are insane! she hisses quietly. Are you really going to start a brawl your first night in town? Do you really think you’ll be able to talk your way out of a sword fight once the guard comes? Especially when we don’t even speak their language?

Yasir mutters something about drugs, which causes the Kender to leap down from the stool and shout. Half of the common room turns, and the servers look to see what the issue is. The innkeeper looks very worried, as if envisioning his inn turning into a battlefield. About that time the musician returns from the kitchens, obviously alerted by the commotion. Yelling in common at the two men, she moves to the stage. The pair calm down somewhat, and the tension in the room lessens. Mira hears a few murmurs of the ‘fiery bard’, though she can’t tell if they are complementary or otherwise. Thank you, Elsa replies. Guillam looks as if he had dodged an arrow, and wipes his brow with a bar-rag.

Pyros looks down into his cup and hiccups involuntarily, before the Halfling turns back to him. Now, if we can all just take it easy. What did she mean about rooms? Was that the message she wanted you to give us? Looking past him she sees the bartender watching them closely. Do we have rooms? Elsa asks, forgetting for the moment that they can’t understand her. When they just look at her, she mimes a key turning. The innkeeper snaps back to reality and rummages around in a drawer behind the bar, coming up with two brass keys.

It was nice of the lady to offer to pay for your drinks with her tips, she says as she gets out her purse, but I think we’ve caused her enough trouble. The female waitress that had served Elsa earlier speaks to the bartender and he nods. The halfling hands him a gold piece, and receives her change.

[Ooc: Yas ad Pyros have each had about 3-4 drinks in the last hour since starting their baths. I'd say it's past time for a con-check ]

[Jenara]

Mira bounces swiftly to the stage her hair bouncing as she moves, watching the group she grins widely and takes her seat once more. Taking up her lute she strums a few chords, before breaking into an old song.

Watching the crowd she switches her style, playing a fast gypsy style number, the lute resting on her knee, all the while she wishes the bar had more space for people to dance.

When it becomes time for her set to end she slows her pace and strums a soft melody, the music hangs in the air for a moment.. The words start in Harmonian.

She lets the last note hang, her voice breaking she repeats the last line in common.

Lowering her head she puts down the lute and sits in silence.
