Act 1, Scene 1: "Together in Harmony" (Game Thread)

"Who was that?! He looked mad!" Pyros will look at Elsa "There is plenty of light here, oh right... "

He will go with Elsa and actually try the puzzle.

Bandages? the lady asks, somewhat confused. I don't really carry those. The herbalist might. Most of these fabrics would be a waste to use, and real bandages would be cheaper and serve better I would think. An old man named DuBuisson has a place down near five points... but go during the day if you can, that area gets a little rough late at night... As for the dress... She inspects Elsa's figure, taking rough measurements with a well-trained eye.

I have something she might like. It would have to be let out a bit at the bust and hips, since it is sized for a girl and not a small woman.... Her demeanor gradually shifts back to normal now that things have calmed dpwn a bit. She gestures for the women to follow and shows them a bright yellow sundress with a light embroidery of green ivy along the arms and white-and-sky-blue flowers across the bodice. It is clearly made for a pre-teen human, but the size was almost right. If you like it, I can make alterations for two coppers. Elsa smiles at the design and feels the fabric. I like this one! How much is it?

Pyros puts his mind to the task and works the moving parts back and forth, trying to release the ring. After a full minute, he is right back where he started, though he feels like he almost had it. Yasir continues to examine the workmen's clothes.

Pyros will get a bit frustrated at being so close, and stow the puzzle.

"Anything shiny or red? IREALLYLIKERED!"

[Jenara]

"Pyros." Mira's eyebrows raise, regarding the Kender with a frown.

"How silly of me, I'm still new to town but that's no excuse.." Lowering her head she smiles in appreciation over the desss Elsa had chosen. "The dress will look great my dear, why don't you get it?" Taking Pyros by the hand she moves to the door. "Pyros why don't you show me the puzzle outside?"

The place is called 'frog' something-or-other, I can't really recall. Anyone in the area near five points should be able to point it out. If she likes, I can measure her, make the alterations and have it ready by monday... it would be a silver piece in total.

I think I will. Can you tell her I'd like to have it fitted? Elsa replies.

[Jenara]

"She loves the dress and would like to buy it." Mira let's go of Pyros for a moment, getting closer to Marie she slips her a silver piece.. "I know you will do her proud."

"Thank you for the information on the errr frog."

"All done?" She asks the group explaining her translations.

[Namenlos]

after mira asks if everyone is all done yasir will speak up"prrhaps I should purchase atleast a set of clothing here. The ones I do have are intended for a slightly warmer clime." yasir will finish by plucking at the cloth of his clothes to indicate their thinness. Depending on the price yasir will buy two sets of pants and the white shirt(I'm guessing that they are reasonably affordable, so he will take two).

"and thank you for translating for everyone here." yasir will say to mira, rather stiffly and sort of awkward but heartfelt all the same.

When the husband makes his entrance yasir will completely ignore him unless specifically addressed. Pyros' outburst will surprise yasir, but he is starting to just associate it with his behavior.

Mira nods and translates for Yasir, she can't help but grin at the man's stiff thanks.

"Marie, perhaps you two could pop past the inn soon, I might sing a song for you both?" She adds.

Marie takes a marked strip of ribbon and makes her measurements for Elsa with a practiced alacrity, making marks with a grease pen on a spare strip of cloth. She listens with half an ear when Mira mentions the winter clothes, Hmm? The heavy work shirts are a silver and the pants are one gold per piece. He is fairly lightly dressed… if he wants them for the cold, however, the pants he is wearing should be sufficient for now as spring will be here in a few weeks…

Marie finishes up with the measurements for the Halfling, and thanks her. Elsa gives her thanks as well, assuming that the Marie had rather than understanding. She then walks over to Mira, How much was it? she says, opening her pouch. I saw you hand her money, I want to pay my own way. You have done a lot for us already…

We might stop by tomorrow night. We’re going to the festival tonight, I think… she trails off as she glances back at the door her husband had gone through. We don’t get out much, but he does like music, so maybe I can convince him. She gives Mira a small smile, I heard you at the amphitheater that one time… you did very well. I think I would like to hear more of your music. My husband’s nephew is a big fan of yours… and I think he has quite a crush on you… again she trails off a bit, her face coloring slightly. Sorry, I’m rambling.

[Jenara]

"The shirts are a silver, and pretty good." She pulls her own sleeve, "Trousers are a gold, but Marie suggested yours would be OK as spring is on its way." Mira translates for Yasir.

"Oh a silver, I didn't think it was too much so I err took the liberty of agreeing for you." She explains opening her palm. "You all make me feel less alone. If I'm honest, so helping makes me happy."

Turning to Marie she ponders for a moment, "Your husbands nephew?" She asks in Harmonian her interest piqued. "And I'll let you into a huge secret, I was scared witless doing that performance, I've never played for such a crowd. It was amazing though, when I forgot where I was and got lost in the music it was rather enjoyable."

"If you find his favourite song, I will play it. If I don't know it.. I know a rather nice young man who will teach me." She smirks, could Airand be the nephew?

[Nocturno]

Pyros will try his luck at the puzzle again as he waits.

Puzzle #2: [1d20] = 12

"if you truly have a love for red you may have the shirt off my back when we return to the inn, lad." replies yasir after pyros mentions the color and will indicate the shirt he is wearing.

"I would still like to purchase one of each if you wouldn't mind letting marie know." yasir will reach into the pouch at his belt and withdraw the required funds and make to offer them to marie.

yasir will attempt to gain a moment from mira when she is no longer busy translating for everyone and ask. "do you know of anyone who is familiar with the lands outside the towns gates? Just the area within a days travel."

Elsa hands Mira back a silver mark to replace the one she spend. You have already done so much for us, I would be ashamed to ask more. Besides, I'm enjoying your company as well!

You were really terrified!? Marie asks, amazed. You seemed so calm... nobody would believe... The boy? Oh, he likes your gypsy music the most. She stops with a small laugh, Corrine said you bewitched him with your music and that you're going to take him and all the young men and lead them away into the woods or something like that. Here she actually does laugh, a rich and beautiful sound like the tinkling of silver bells. It frequently impressed Mira how musical this language and it's people were. You won't though, will you? She asks, obviously teasing but still listening for the response.

Pyros takes another stab at solving the puzzle and works the pieces back and forth, twisting, turning, pushing and pulling them every way he can see how but the wrought iron is unrelenting. The moves start to make less sense to him, and he feels like if he doesn't get it on his next try he will have to put it away for a while before trying again.

Yasir holds the gold and silver coins out to Marie, and she makes the connection. Looking him over for a rough size, one eyebrow quirks up at his broad shoulders. She takes up a shirt and pair of breeches that he had been inspecting and passes them to him as she takes the coins with a small bow. She turns back to Mira, raising one eyebrow. A small smile bends one corner of her mouth as she awaits her answer. Once the women are done, Yasir asks about the land outside the gates.


[Pyros puzzle check #2: need 6 or less: Puzzle #2: [1d20] = 12. fail. Pyros has 1 more chance to solve it today. He can try again tomorrow if he fails]

[Yasir pays 1 gp and 1 sp and gains a pair of sturdy work breeches and a heavy cotton work shirt]

"I would hope so!" Mira replies with a giggle. "I let you share the choas that is my room.." She giggles again playfully slapping Elsas arm.

"Pardon? I'm going to steal all the young men?" She asks Marie in Harmonian, her giggle becomes a full blown laugh, "Trust me when I say I have no plans to do that. I wouldn't dare to think it, but perhaps it's a little wishful thinking on their part?" Her cheeky smirk comes easily.

"I'd love to see you all tomorrow night. I have plans for a dress.. A long black one, something.. Sultry." She smirks, leaving it open to see if Marie takes it seriously.

With that she moves to the door, ready to leave.

Yasir will take his purchases under arm and make for the door.

"I'm going to drop these off at the room now."

He will check his pickets to see if he has the room key, If he does not he will go to find pyros.
