CH. 15: There and Back Again

"That's Drav," Jocelyn says. "We rescued him from an island," she explains. "So, who is going to be the central priest?" she asks. "I have both combine and remove curse ready to go if you wish it to be me."

Naras nodded to Drav, noting also that Joslyn seemed to be the group's spokesman.
The kohen turned her attention back to Joslyn, responding with, "As do I, Pastor. But I think you need to be at the center."

She focused on the others on the party, "You may remain here, but please stay quiet and do not interrupt us. We do not expect any further visitors, but should any arrive please inform them that I wish them to wait. We will not be long and are not to be interrupted." Finally the dwarf turned to Ouragana, "Are you happy for us to proceed, Ouragana?"

Val peruses the gem shop to add to her already growing collection. The jeweler has gems worth 10 GP, 50 GP, 100 GP, 500 GP and 1,000 GP available. It all depends on how much of her money she wants to convert.

IC: Jocelyn steps forward so that she can be the one that stands in the middle of the priests. "Ouragana, I need you to join me in the middle please."

Baeros looks at Naras awkwardly, he is not on his best mood these late days, he looks tired, the lines on his forehead deeper. He is even more sweaty than usual and scratches a lot, but that could be because he hadn't shower over a week, just slipped out of his troubled mind and so his reaction "Of what reason on earth would we want to bother?!? I thought we already agreed yesterday that you should be more polite to your visitors *kohen*... Hi Leena!"

When asked if she had any further questions, Ouragna had shaken her head. "I'm afraid that right now, thinking clear is difficult for me. So I have no questions."
When Jocelyn asks her to come to the middle, she obliges without a word. Standing there, she looks at her feet, not at the people around her. She is trmbling a little.

Naras positions herself equidistant so as to hold hands with Leena and Otaya around Jocelyn & Ouragana, ready for Jocelyn to start the Combination.

Gallath pulls a small book out of his pocket, and starts sketching the setup and writing notes.

Drav stands there, examining the temple while they do their thing.

Once all the priests are in position, Jocelyn begins praying to Octhanus for help in combining the powers of herself and the other priests. Once done, she places her hand upon Ouragana's shoulder, and starts praying again to remove the curse placed upon her.

Leena frowns at Baeros and wrinkles her nose, as if she smells something foul. But otherwise, she does not respond.

Placing her hand over her heart, Jocelyn begins to pray. Likewise, Naras, Otaya and Leena all begin to pray as they join hands, forming a circle around Jocelyn and Ouragana.

As the ritual begins, the prayers of the four priests seem to merge into one melody. A green glow begins to envelop the three priestesses of Gonto. This glow then stretches out from their bodies, toward Jocelyn's and merges with her own blue aura. Jocelyn feels a massive surge of power in her body, far beyond anything she has ever felt before. It reminds her of when she saw Saren disintegrate those zombies with ease. Is this what it feels like to hold such strength?

Placing a hand on Ouragana's shoulder, Jocelyn begins the casting of a new spell. As she prays, a transparent bubble of energy appears around the mage's head. Even with her intelligence dampened, she recognizes this as the magical aura of the curse itself. As Jocelyn prays, small hairline cracks begin to form on the bubble. The cracks grow and spread, until at long last, the bubble shatters.

With their combined energy spent, Jocelyn and the other clerics sway a bit, feeling a tad dizzy. This passes after a few moments. Ouragana, on the other hand, finds she can once again recall the many languages she knows, can remember the finer details of ancient Eonia, and although she has no spells memorized now, can now remember how to do so again.

Jocelyn casts Combine, absorbing the power of Leena, Otaya and Naras. She can now cast as if 9th level.
Jocelyn casts Remove Curse on Ouragana. She is no longer cursed.

(OOC: Nothing like a 'pocket notebook' or even a regular notebook exists with this level of technology. You can buy an actual book, although they are very expensive. Or you can buy some parchment and paper. Parchment is 1 GP a page, paper is 2 GP a page. A piece of chalk only costs a copper piece.

As Gallath does not have the Artistic Ability NWP, his drawings won't be particularly well done.)

Naras comments, "Nicely done, Pastor, it seemed to work. Ouragana, how do you feel?"

"That was a new feeling," Jocelyn admits. She lets out a sigh, and looks to Ouragana. "It seems like it worked. Are you okay?"

Ouragana takes a deep breath, it seems to be the first one since that fateful look into the book. She looks at the priestesses and smiles. "I feel better than you look" she says in an apologetic voice. "Thank you so much." Awkwardly, she embraces them one after another, Jocelyn first, then Naras, then Otaya and Leena.
Then she steps back. "What do we do now?" she asks.
