Act 1, Scene 3: "Out of Harmony" (Game Thread)

"I think even Kender get... Well... His eyes shot out of his head when he saw you last night, I think he got the message." Mira states quite firmly, sitting down so the Halfing can work on her hair. "I want to see him at least twice today, and no guard is going to stop me. They owe us something, a 'Reward' was mentioned, well I'm taking mine. I'd rather not take the whole group the first time, might you come with me? To make sure he is healing?" Those bites still worried her... Rubbing her ankle she could still feel the bite from the wolves.. What if...?

"Oh Elsa, you are so sweet, all of this would have been so hard without you." She exclaims as her hair is finished, the red tresses were getting longer than she liked, they'd been getting like that for a while.

"Today, I'm taking a weapon, I'm not going anywhere without one. And I have that short sword to return." Standing she offers Elsa her arm and together they decend the stairs (assuming Elsa got dressed).

cross sit a little distracted as he thinks on the dagger, but then the idea of swapping spells comes up and he perks up "id love to share here's what i have"

Elsa is happy with her hair, though the short strands don't allow for much work. Shr agrees to go with Mira to the jail, and braids the bard's hair loosely. The style is very befitting a gypsy. She leaves her shield and armor behind, but wears her white robes with blue trim, her sling and pouches, and her mace openly. Together the girls descend to the common room where Erris herself is taking the party's breakfast order. The woman smiles as Pyros rattles off all the food he wants.

Cal smiles at Pyros' enthusiasm. "I'll have coffee as well. Maybe some thick bread and butter? By the way, did we pay for last night?"

"Thank you, Cross. Are we three the sole arcane casters? Oh and can we study them here? Or do we need to go to a bedroom?" responds Jerry.

After acknowledging any reply, she greets the latest arrivals (Mira and Elsa?), "Good morning to you both! I hope you slept better than I did. Had a most horrible dream. But strangely had elements of something I've been searching for: a crown."

When the ladies appear at the top of the stairs: "Elsa! Red Lady! Come join us! OVERHERE!! he will yell waving.

cross thinks about the dreams again and turns to jerry"yes it seems each of us have had bad dreams every day once coming here. academically speaking i'm working on a theory that it has to do with the plains and laws that govern them this world seems steeped in dread and fear"

"Sole casters?" Mira asks as she steps down the stairs, arm in arm with Elsa, "First, no magic here, try it you are likely to get a very poor reaction, last night we were lucky." She steps over to the table and pushes Elsa to sit next to Pyros.

"So, of you want to trade spells, I assumed that's what you meant. Do it up stairs.. If anyone has a spell to armor themselves magically.. I'd appreciate it." Taking a seat she smiles at the group and offers Jerry her hand.

"Mira, singer, story teller, sometimes Gypsy and sometimes caster.. and I know my way around a sword." Motioning to the woman she adds. "And you?" Shr asks.

"Erris, can we have some pastries, bread, fruit and juices please? I think Pryros here would like some meat and sausages too." She asks, if anyone has a spell book out she motions to put it away.

"The Crown?" She continues when Erris departs. "We are supposed to find a crown. And stay sober, the dreams are awful if you are drunk!" She looks at Cross. "Planes? Its obvious this isnt home, and we are somewhere else. But where?" She shrugs..

Artanis orders his breakfast: "Big bowl of oatmeal, toast and a glass of juice, please. Thank you."

Meanwhile his dual sided mind ponders for a bit: Gads, don't let Pyros drink coffee. He'll be bouncing around like a jack rabbit!
Or running around like a deranged chipmunk!
I recall how grandmother used to give those chipmunks "swimming" lessons.
Heh. And they never could learn to swim, either. Swimming...water. That reminds me....
Don't EVEN THINK about going fishing again! We've got serious work to do today, including getting Yasir out.
If we give Pyros two or three pots of coffee, I bet he could pick the locks to the jail in no time!

Erris answers Cal's question about prices last night and takes their orders. The beverages and pastries are brought by a server right away, and their meals soon after.

Rooms: everyone paid for last night, but here is the list again for tonight.
Double Room/night: 7sp (boys room split cal/pyros)
Single rooms/night: 5sp (Mira's w/ Elsa free; Art's room split w/Cross who slept on floor; Jerry's room)

A single room has space for 2 human-sized occupants, but someone will be on the floor (like cross) unless a spare bed is brought in and paid for (like elsa did), or the small bes is shared intimately by 2 characters (*cough*)

Mira's food and room are free as part of her agreement with the inn.

Mira's right. That lady outside the jail last night said sge needed our help finding a crown too... but she's looking for the Crown of Soldiers, not Souls... Anyway we're meeting her in Skald, thats the capital here, in a week. I know you just got to town, so did we, but maybe you'll find some answers there too. What do you think? Elsa asks, making her invitation obvious.

"They certainly do Pyros." I think we need to look into that... Perhaps there might be something at the Toe??" Smiling she glances at the group. "Why don't some of us look into that?"
