"There was a Man called the Kingpriest, he felt that evil should be removed, but I guess life is a balance. The stories say that the Gods left, leaving us to our own devices, those that remained were left in darkness." She explains adding to his story, her hand remaining on Jerry's leg, "But we prevailed... A war is going on at home, people are fighting to end the oppression."

Jerry remains silent. Eyes wide, she looks at Maerrick to see if he has anything to add. She rubs Mira's back in encouragement.

When it's clear that they've both finished, the Mystran says simply, "Thank you. Both of you. So what do you think about a crown? Or two of them, perhaps?" She puts her hands back in her lap, then, noticing Mira's hand, as if for the first time, pats it twice.

"Just a moment? The only stars you see are the Dark Queen?? She has left our skies, along with Paladine (The Strongest God of Good, she explains turning to Jerry) I would like to see this place, but then maybe not... I would not be so well received there I fear." She shudders visibly, her whole body shaking as she closes her eyes for a brief moment.

"So, basically Magic in its purest form is dealt with suspicion and distrust. Don't use it in Plain sight, ever. I get away with it because its musical.. I can't imagine what would happen if.." An image of the look Elsa received washed over her, the look of horror when she healed Cal. "That goes for Clerical magic too." She adds remembering that she was a Cleric too.

"I believe Skald is more open?" She directs the question to Merrick, "You are coming with us right? I... We... we need you, the knowledge you have is invaluable, and it wouldn't feel right heading off without you."

"My only concern is if we end up in a fight again, when we get Yasir back.." Her whole face lights up at that statement, Jerry can feel her whole body temperature shoot up. "When we get him back we will be safer, Elsa bless her shouldn't be on the front line, she should be protecting the mages, like me. I can fight, but I'm no warrior.. I know Magic, but I'm no mage." It felt nice to say the words, letting the thoughts become reality, she had to watch her thoughts constantly.

"I'm just a Girl who sings songs and apparently is attractive to the opposite Sex." She winks at Merrick, patting his arm. "My advice, find someone you care for and hold onto them, I plan to, if I he is given the all clear, if he isn't... I'll take him away from this place, or do as he wishes." Her hand suddenly tenses at the thought, squeezing Jerry's leg hard do as he wishes.. he'd die before he became one of them.

"Sorry, just a bad thought.. I had a dream where... Yasir became one of them.. Perhaps as you say it is highlighting the fears we have inside, and allowing them to surface. If that's true I am concerned that I'm going to be seduced by one of them." She blushes a deep crimson, her body warming through the loose cotton garment.

"I do appreciate the openness, I trust we can continue to speak our minds this way? I have Elsa, she is.. she's wonderful, she gets it, she gets me I think.. The women of this Town think that because I flash some flesh, and the boys are attracted to me that I am going to take them away to my Gypsy Caravan, never to be seen again. Finding someone attractive isn't a crime, its natural." Agains she pats Merrick. "Sorry I am rambling."

Well, the dragon queen's are the brightest... there are others, but they are very dim... the old ones say there was once a Platinum Dragon too, but his constellation was rent and the stars scattered across the skies... The land is so overgrown it is difficult to even see the sky most places... and... well, we have no moon... he shakes his head bewildered. The moon in Kartakass is so prominent, I find it unsettling that it doesn't appear in my homeland... it doesn't make sense to me, but perhaps there is some kind of veil over the sky there... I... I have heard it said we actually do have a moon, but that it is small and dark and cannot be seen save when it eclipses a constellation... they call it "Nuitari"... The stars are gone on Krynn too? And what of the moon?

Merrick settles down and nods along with Mira's comments about magic. I don't know much about Skald except that it is the capital and slightly larger. I've only been once, but it does seem a little more liberal regarding magic... and there is a church there. he adds, giving Jerry a comforting look.

He falls silemt for the rest, lost in thought until something in particular catches his attention. Go with you? Well... Serath... he turns to Jerry and stops, I think I will, yes. he gives the half-elven woman a smile. When Mira goes on he flushes a little.

"The black moon? ...

Back into Nuitari's gloom,
Let all rough magic now depart.
Let centuries of night entomb
The dark maneuverings of the heart.
Let darkest magic flee, consumed
By Nuitari's ravenous gloom..."

She sings softly her voice filling the room, shivering as she sings the words.

"The land sounds dark, much like a haunted nightmare.." This whole place was a nightmare, an evil one, the Dark Queen Ruled.. "There was a story, something about Istar.. but I cant remember it." She explains as she shivers again, the room felt cold, the darkness.. Ughh.. shaking her head she continues. "The moons are there, as always, Solinari and Lunitari are there, the Dark Moon is as well... I think I saw it once." Shuddering again she quickly changes the subject.

"Yes, come please. We need him right Jerry?" She giggles, "You get to hear me play and Frankly I need some support." She squeezes Jerry slighly, "Plus Jerry obviously enjoys you being around, anyone with eyes can see that."

Merrick seems surprised, despite everything. There are three moons? I admit, I'm no historian. I had no idea... you have given me quite a lot to process... Merrick seems overwhelmed for the night.

[Jenara]

"I forget much of this is new to you." She pats the pair on the leg, "You two dont want me hanging around, I'm sure you have better things to do." She shoots Jerry a wink.

"You mentioned a Crown, or two of them? We are looking for a Crown of Soliders, no one has heard of it, but the man we are getting it for has a good reputation.. You are looking for another? Does it have a name?" She asks, her Green eyes flashing with intelligence as she turns to face the Cleric, an arm wrapped around her waist in a friendly manner.

"I was told by a spirit, Magda the Wanderer, who appeared as a gypsy woman that played a phantom violin, that 'I should seek the Crown of Souls. Only then, and with help, would I be able to put my father to rest'," asnwers Jerry. "He is is powerful vampire and wishes to destroy me. Or worse." Jerry shuddered at reliving the memories. And cried. It was too much to be brave all the time.

[Jenara]

"Crown of Souls, Crown of Soliders.. Sound Familar? I wonder.." Musing to herself she strokes the woman gently before wrapping both arms around Jerry tightly, hugging her to her chest. Allowing her to cry in silence, her chin resting on the womans head. "You two need to be alone." She kisses her hair and releases her bare arms softly, moving to stand she lowers Jerrys head into Merricks lap. "Look after her, and I'll see you both in the morning." Kissing his head she steps back, heading for the door.

Jerry squeezes Mira's hand as she leaves and mouths a silent 'Thank you.'
When the red singer has departed she looks at the bed then Merrick, and then pulls him towards the bed.
"Just hold me. Please," she whispers.

Mira nods silently and walks back to the room she shares with Elsa.

The half elves lay quietly entwined, haggard from the emotional discussion, anchoring each other in the gradually darkening world.

After collecting the remainder of her things and handing back the key Jerry heads off with Merrick to pick up his things and then pop into his cousin's shop, if open, to top up her spell components.

Jerry collects her things and turns in her key. Merrick then leads on to where he is renting a room. The family seems out at the moment, so he ducks inside just long enough to gather some things in a pack. The pair then head to The Scale. Jerry's pouch seems full enough, but Merrick takes the opportunity to check his own and inform Serath that he is heading to Skald for a few days. The older half-elf looks between them and almost grins, more expression than Jerry had ever seen on him anyway. I should be able to survive without you for a while, he teases his 'cousin' with a deadpan expression. Be careful. You know the hazards by now, but those cautions are doubly applicable outside of Harmonia... Merrick nods and they head off to further supplies. Rations next? he asks his cleric companion.

She nods, greatly appreciating Merrick for the umpteenth time, "Yep."
She smiles at him, just because she can.

Being careful with her money, as she's saving up for a spell book, she tries to get a couple of days' worth of trail rations and a waterskin, just in case.
She asks quietly while they're on the move, "Would they sell wolfsbane here? And any idea if it might be, you know, useful?"
