"She is more than she appears, far more." Mira sighs, why couldn't people just be people? She asked as she turns her back on the books. "What have you found Pyros?" She asks approaching the room he had found. "We can't take anything, she'd know it was gone. Hells she'll probably know we were here anyway."
Does the room have a lock? And does it look well used?

The secret outer doors to the two rooms do appear to be lockable. The locks have some wear as if they are regularly used.

"We have a secret, inside this secret, a fancy bed, and a nice looking chest." Pyros will say as he walks over to it.
First checking for traps on the lid and lock, then if locked he will try to open the lock.

"We really shouldn't hang around too long. I worry that one of the ummm beasts is kept in here." She moves around nervously. "Can someone keep an eye on the doorway?"

Talking while he works.
"If you folks want to check out there, I will work on this. I did not make my way around the outer part myself."

Pyros checks and doesn't find any traps. He reaches to lift the lid to see if it is lcocked. The surface of the chest itself seems like hardened stone almost... then the lid opens revealing a wet, violet interior that jiggles and flexes. The surface of the chest itself splita and ripples as sickly yellow orps sprout from tiny openings as they widen. Row upon row of razor-sharp teeth morph from the rim of the now open lid as the mass expands! Pyros tries to pull his invisible hand away, but it is stuck!

[Kybalion failed his surprise roll, but you can use the attack you already rolled for this round. Also, the Mimic counts as a Large creature for damage]
Mira shouts at the invisible rogue to get away, and the Kender does his absolute best to break free but cannot! The mass of stony camouflaged flesh begins to crush Pyros! The others, shocked at the sudden alarm take a moment to realize their ally is under attack!

"Can't seem to get free." He almost yells.

Is he able to try again, or time to start getting jabby with it?

[Only 1 attempt per character. So someone else could try to pull him free but trying to pull himself free again won't work.]
