Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Darga thinks for a moment before replying. Finally, he says, "If'n there's someone lookin' fer yer uncle wit' bad intentions, I'd reckon that findin' him like this won't be good. If'n ya want, we kin take him ta Trench's house...nobody'll be lookin' fer him there. But it's up ta ya...if ya want, we kin take him ta yer shop if ya think it best."
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"Well I guess I can check out the shop, I was headed there anyways. Got to tell the gang about the hill giant we're gonna kill and all." Haahqae replies, setting foot in that direction.

Tulbas, Haahqae and Darga (Mad Marvin's) [9:45 AM]
Tulbas nods to Haahqae as he leaves, then turns to Darga. "No, Kynaston's house isn't secure," he says, speaking from experience. "Besides, it's all the way in the harbor district, which not only is a further walk, but not a safe place for us to be at the moment." After a moment's pause, he adds, "Wait, what did he say about a giant?"
Meanwhile, Haahqae leaves and heads down Herbalist Street to reach the mageware shop. But it occurs to him that he has no description for this Magnus fellow. Nevertheless, he doesn't find anyone standing around near the shop. A few people pass by on the street, but nobody seems to be watching the place.

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"Darga. How did this man look?" Tulbas asks. Somewhat in delay. "Well, we will wait for Haaque but probably we should stay here" he looks at Marvin. "Can we assist you in any way while we are here? We also should think on the next steps. My uncle said they are coming. I've no idea what did he speak of, but probably his attackers. And since he was in the tower , the attackers must been formidable. "

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Gregeddin shakes both their hands and moves to depart the Masked Dragon.
Stepping out of the courtyard, he regards the two bouncers and thinks of where to go next. His parents were both working as he didn't find them earlier. He wasn't too keen to exact his visions of corporate dominance just yet as that required a visit to the harbour district, and a group he was previously not wanting to be a part of. The market hadn't brought back the same warm memories from his childhood after the riot and wanton destruction, with time normality should ensue he convinced himself, the question was just 'when?'. Feeling rather impatient about this the prospect of seeing how the recovery was going could be entertaining. Oh but the Guard.
Ooohhh the Guard! They could be quite useful actually, now that I know the scheme, names and whereabouts of some lawbenders. That is, should I feel the need to jump ships.
With that thought, Gregeddin spins on his heels and walks back towards the bouncers. Addressing the two men he asks, "Excuse me gents, are either of you open to the idea of private hire, or even better have any experience?" Gregeddin takes this opportunity to look over the men, assessing their build and any arms and armour.

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Haahqae briefly remembers that he didn't get a description of Magnus, but it doesn't matter much since Haahqae is a master at determining one's appearance from their personality and actions. Plus he knows Raetmal's wounds were mostly made by daggers or knives, so it's likely that he'd be carrying one of those around.
Well this looks pretty good. If anyone was here they've probably left, but better to be safe. Haahqae waves over to one of the passerby's and asks them "Didja happen to see anyone around here earlier, checking out the shop? He'd probably be tall, wear a dark robe, probably black, maybe dark purple blue or red, he's likely to be carrying a dagger and has an odd look to him. Of if you managed to catch a name he's calling himself Magnus. Any hint of seeing a guy like that?"

"I couldn't git a good look at 'im," Darga says in response to Tulbas's question, "but I kin tell ya he was human, an' tall fer one, too. He was wearin' some black robes wit' his hood up, so I didna see much o' his face, but he's got a burn or a wound o' some sort on one o' his cheeks. Looked like he'd been hurt bad there, but he didna seem ta mind." He pauses expectantly, but can't help but add, "Does he sound like someone ya know of?"

Tulbas and Darga (Mad Marvin's) [9:45 AM]
Gregeddin (Masked Dragon Inn, courtyard) [9:25 AM]
"Depends on how much it's paying," says the woman. "We do pretty alright here."
"Experience with what?" asks the man.
Haahqae (Outside the mageware shop) [10:00 AM]
Haahqae asks around the locals, but none of the passersby claim to have seen the person he is searching for.
"Assist in the what way?" asks Marvin.Tulbas wrote:"Can we assist you in any way while we are here?"

The bouncers are both human, one male and one female, wearing leather armor and carrying simple short swords.Gregeddin wrote:"Excuse me gents, are either of you open to the idea of private hire, or even better have any experience?"

Convinced that the coast is clear, Haahqae turns back to return to his fellows and tell them what he found.

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"I think I've seen him in the shop two days ago. He seemed like trouble but my uncle was an free when I approached him. What did he want exactly?" Tulbas asks highly concerned with the development of events.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"Experience in combat, although that seems obvious now that I note you're both kitted out for it." Gregeddin replies, "But I'm curious to know if you can operate with discretion, maintaining privacy for a principal, demonstrating loyalty in the face of danger with few questions asked in mysterious and uncanny situations?"
"May I ask, miss, what is the rate here and how much notice would you need to take on a contract?" The bard enquires.

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Darga shakes his head. "I dunno fer sure, he didna say much ta me other than that he was lookin' fer yer uncle. But he said somethin' 'bout how th' shop would be better if'n it was named after him. I dunno, but I think he was makin' a joke or somethin'."
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Tulbas, Haahqae and Darga (Mad Marvin's) [10:00 AM]
Haahqae returns to Mad Marvin's to report on what he saw (or didn't see) at the mageware shop.
Gregeddin (Masked Dragon Inn, courtyard) [9:25 AM]
"Yeah, we can do all those things," the woman says with a shrug. "As for danger, depends on what kind, yeah? We get paid two and a half silver a week, which is pretty good for such a low-risk, cushy job. All we do is keep the drunks and riffraff out, chase off any kender and gully dwarves, that sort of thing. Plus, free room and board. A really sweet deal, considering most of the trouble we find can be scared off by just motioning to draw our swords."
"Easy, yeah," the man agrees. "Kind of boring, though."

"Guess it would depend on what the contract was for," the woman says. "Depending on what it is, we may need time to prepare our gear and such. If it's for something simple, like just guarding a place, maybe a day at most, just so we can get things in order with our current employer."Gregeddin wrote:"How much notice would you need to take on a contract?"
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"That's excellent to hear, Gregeddin's the name." The bard says extending his hand, "May I ask yours? For any added danger the pay would be increased to compensate for your risk. I trust that a little more, excitement, could be welcome round here then? I hope to be back round here in the future, if the spice of life leads some more variety, its good to know of some adventurous souls that can be relied upon."

Gregeddin (Masked Dragon Inn, courtyard) [9:25 AM]
"I'm Zoya," the woman says, offering her hand. She looks to be around 10 or so years older than Gregeddin. Her black skin is contrasted against her blond hair and green eyes. Although he looks foreign, she speaks Common in a normal Abanasinian accent. "And this is Mateo," she says, gesturing to her male companion.
Mateo appears to be the same age as Zoya, give or take a year or two. His hair is black, his eyes are green, and his skin is light brown. He, in turn, offers the bard his hand, as well. "Nice to make your acquaintance," he says.
