"I will wait with her, your husband is finding me a skirt, and besides her Brother would kill me if anything happened to her." Angel replies quicky, "Two Silver is acceptable." She says passing over the coins. "You can go if you wish." She says to Liri, still holding her hand.

"I will" Liri tells Angel with a light kiss on the cheek, withdrawing her hand. She smiles at Salia "Enjoy being treated like the lovely girl you are, and not just like a servant" she tells her. Leaving the seamstress's stall, Liri joins Eben.
"Looking for a weapon for Saila?" she asks him. "The young girl who is getting her outfit fixed" she explains if she gets a blank look, how could the man know the girl's name? "She has had no training yet, so I guess we don't need her to choose, she wouldn't be able to judge what fits her anyway." Saying that, she peruses the knives on offer.
She stays far enough away from Eldon so she won't touch him if either of them moves, but he can smell her perfume, a natural mix of freshly bathed body and well-worn, though freshly cleaned leather. A strand of hair falls into her face as she bends over the knives, and her and pushes it back absentmindedly, behind her delicate pointed ear.

"Nah the weapon is for the young Girl, I have my own." Eldon replies to the Vendor, tapping the twin long daggers at his belt, "Something light, that she can use without hurting herself, excuse me a moment." He says turning to face Liri.
"Yeah your 'Friend' over there asked me to get a Weapon for the Girl." He swallows hard, and moves away slightly, "You have seen action, I can see that, the Girl bears wounds, the Merc walks like she has been in combat recently."

Liri gives a harsh laugh, which sounds like quenched by tears held back. "You bet" she says, but does not elaborate further. "Salia got hurt when the kitchen knife she held to defend herself slipped and she gripped the blade instead of the handle" she explains. "So we should by something of similar size, but with a parrying bar. Similar to this" she points at a suitably shaped knife.

"Kitchen knife? Yeah I've seen that, big dog thing attacked the caravan once, we hit it with what we have. Most of my people" he frowns at that "use these." he draws a long bladed dagger and flips it expertly in the air.
"Not a bad choice, he says with a nod at her choice.

Liri only nods at Eldon's display, as if she had seen many of these.
Then she turns to the vendor. "May I take that knife for a check?" she asks.

Liri examines the board of knives the vendor put out. They are wicked looking, but mostly of poor quality, the kind a person would carry mostly to look dangerous and which might break or bend in actual use.

"We are looking for something that one might use in an actual battle, where do you keep the good stuff? Not the stuff for Tourists." Eldon asks with a deep frown, shaking his head at he weapons.
"Perhaps there is another stall." He shoots Liri a cheeky grin, "Somewhere that sells real weapons."

Liri nods. "Yes, we do not need something that looks mean, but something that IS mean. These might hurt the wielder more than the opponent." She takes a step back from the stall, ready to turn away.

The knife merchant barks out a laugh and pulls the board of fancy knives back. Then he reaches under the counter and pulls out a shallow wooden box which he puts out for display. The knives are simple, with slightly curved blades of six- to eight-inches long, plain wooden handles, and brass crossguards, pommels and hardware.
He then reaches into the box, selects one of the longer knives, wedges it in between the boards of his table, and pushes hard to the left. The table shifts slightly as the blade bends about ten degrees, then springs back to straight as he releases pressure. "Good, yes?"

"That is much better." Eldon hefts the blade in his hand, flipping it quickly, before driving it into the counter. "How much?" He asks with a grin.

"May I" Liri asks perfunctorÃly before pulling the blade out of the counter. "It is for a girl, after all." Stepping back a little, she tests its balance, then lets it swirl through the air in a flurry of eye-catching motions. Last, she nonchalantly pulls out a strand of her hair and cuts off its last half inch or so. If that works smoothly, she puts the knife back on the counter. "It is good quality, and worth the money" she acknowledges. Reaching into her pouch, she produces a gold and five silver pieces. "Now you give me your nicest-looking sheath" she tells the merchant with a smile.

"Just what i was thinking my pretty." Eldon grins, letting her pay with no qualms. "I'm sure she'll appreciate such a gesture."
With that he turns and brushes his hand on her side briefly before looking back to Angel. "So? What are you two?" he asks as the merchant looks for a sheaf.
---------
"You are not used to being the centre of attention are you my dear?" Angel asks the girl as she is pulled around, "I understand, I prefer to be in the background."

"What we are? Angel and me? Two women, to state the obvious. Our relationship?" she shrugs. "We have been companions on the road, on a mission. Anything else is subject to development." Liri walks back towards the clothing stall. "Angel?" she calls inside.
Liri's behaviour has changed markedly. Back in the merc bar, she was sweet, wide-eyed innocence, now she is businesslike and rather distant.
