Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
The trip from the eatery to the Blue Bolt tavern is brief and uneventful. As Eldon and Bastian approach, it becomes obvious that the evening’s festivities are in full swing, as the unmistakable sound of a legion drinking song can be heard from down the street.
The door and windows of the tavern are wide open, letting in a bit of air. From the street, Bastian spots Papa, at a table near the window, with a large tankard in front of him.
A bored-looking bouncer sits just inside the door, on a tall wooden stool. He allows Eldon to walk in without comment, but as Bastian follows, the bouncer puts his foot up on the door frame. “Mercs and guests only, friend.”

"No matter where you go, there you are."

"He's with me, come on give him a break?" Eldon grins, "One more Thirsty Mouth to but drinks."
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
"It's mercs and guests, Slick. Not guests-of-guests."
"No matter where you go, there you are."

"Gimmie a moment." Eldon backs away, heading to the bar, "Sorry I'm late, ran into an old friend, he has gold to spend, can you guys let him in, just this once? He's friends with the Half Elf Merc who was here earlier." (He guesses)

Bastian shrugs and says "Eh, it's your establishment, though this is the first time I've heard of a bar turning away a cleric of Liquitus. That seems a bit....unwise, if you ask me." At the bouncer's glare Bastian quickly replies, "...but you aren't asking me, are you?"

Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Papa gets up from table and walks over to the door and speaks to the bouncer. "He is with me".
Turns to Bastian, "sorry about that, was a little lost in thought. Didn't see you arrive"

"About time." Eldon says with a smirk, whoever he was he'd tried to help.
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
"Your guest, priest, your responsibility," the bouncer says to Papa, then turns to Eldon. "And you: watch the ceilings. This place is a rental. Landlord don't like to see any damage."
The place is not as raucous as a layman would picture a merc bar. Apart from the singers (five men in battered, cast-off lorica who probably had served together at some point, or at least in the same legion) and perhaps half a dozen or so other dangerous-looking men wearing a variety of clothing styles and talking together in small groups, the place is empty apart from the servants, bartender and a few women of negotiable affection, one of whom is seated at Papa's table.

"I told you, no fire today." Heading towards the stage he throws off his cloak and draws his brace of throwing daggers, collecting them in his hands he turns to face everyone.
"Hello people, I'm here to astound you with some feats of agility" Throwing the first blade high above his head he follows until four daggers spin high in the air, he continues this for some time, the blades going increasingly higher, before he catches each, letting it fly in his palms towards the nearest wall, spinning end on end.
"And now, I'd like a volunteer." He grins.

"What for?" calls one of the men in legion lorica, as his friends chuckle.
"No matter where you go, there you are."
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
"Step up and allow me to demonstrate." He says with a flourish of his cape, producing the two long blades he carries. "I can see you are reluctant, scared of a simple blade and a juggler are we?" He teases.
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Goes back to the table and to my drink and motions for the lady to sit on his lap... "now where were we"
Re: Borderlands II - This is the game thread
Eldon grins at the Cleric, one of those huh? It wouldn't be long before Ribi put her hooks in that one..
"Coil my good man, could you throw me three of those mugs, one at a time?" He says with a wide grin, arms out stretched as the daggers fall around him.

"Oh, I never said I was scared, little man. I just asked what you had in mind. One thing you learn in the Legions is to never volunteer unless you know just what you are volunteering for. So what are you going to do, thrown knives at us?" The ex-Legionnaire stands up. He's big, in a large sort of way. "Wanna guess what might happen if you miss?"
Coil rolls his eyes at Eldon's request, but eventually puts three wooden cups on the bar. "You're not getting my good stuff, juggler."

"No, it will be what happens if you miss." Eldon shouts back, "Thank you for cups." He smiles, "I'll take them very soon."
Moving towards the Ex Legionnaire Eldon recovers his throwing daggers, passing them to the Man he gives a little flourish. "A big strong Solider like you will have no problems throwing a few daggers, will he now." Stepping back towards a wall he lowers his cloak. "I want you to throw them at me, one at a time, and I will catch them."
