Sorry for the delay, guys. Like I said, slammed at work, sick over the weekend, and then slammed at work again this week. I guess there's something to be said for allowing people back to back vacations.

The plant you mean is cattail (Typha in scientific nomenclature), right? I didn't know its shoots were edible. I might try it sometime, if I find them outside protected areas or sewage treatment ponds...
