(OOC: You can do that, but if you use LoH on Laurana, it too will only bring her up to 1 HP. Any cure spell used at all while she is in negative HP (except Heal), regardless of what you roll or how many HP it is supposed to give, will automatically bring her back up to 1 HP. That's why I recommended a CLW instead of a CMW or LoH, because it's less of a waste.)

(OOC: Yes, but if I use cure light and roll a three or less, a 3/8 or 37.5% chance, the whole spell is wasted. So I'll stick with LoH at 2:00 pm and the two CMW I rolled at 8:00 pm)

After Goldmoon heals the party up somewhat and blessed the stone to shine bright light (and then pockets it), the party is left to decide what to do next. It is now night again, so Goldmoon's light stone and Eben's torches will come in handy.
Eben introduces himself to Laurana and Goldmoon once they are awake and fairly lucid. He expresses his gratitude in their attempt to help him and his desire to come with them in their mission.
Riverwind finds that the bodies have already been looted by Tika, and thus there is nothing worthwhile to take from them.

(OOC: Guh! I'm not getting through here. Allow me to quote myself:

There is a 100% chance that any cure spell you use, regardless of spell level or roll, will bring a person in negative HP up to 1 HP. It's automatic, no roll is needed. For some reason, I'm not communicating this well. Please consult the Hovering at Death's Door rule in the DMG, found at the end of chapter ten, in blue--I think it's page 75 or so. We've wasted enough time arguing about this, though, so we'll just move on and she'll use LoH on Laurana.)
Goldmoon uses Lay on Hands on Laurana, Laurana is restored to 1 HP automatically.
Goldmoon casts
Cure Light Wounds on herself (1d8): 3 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts
Cure Moderate Wounds on Magpie (1d10+1): 7 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts
Cure Light Wounds on Tika (1d8): 1 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts
Cure Light Wounds on Tika (1d8): 8 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts
Cure Moderate Wounds on herself (1d10+1): 9 HP restored.
Seventh Watch (Caramon and Eben)
6:00 PM
7:00 PM
8:00 PM
9:00 PM - Laurana can now receive further healing.
Goldmoon uses
Cure Moderate Wounds on Laurana (1d10+1): 11
Goldmoon uses
Cure Moderate Wounds on Laurana (1d10+1): 10
Goldmoon casts
Continual Light on a sling stone.
It is now a bit after After Watch (9:13 PM).
(OOC: Up to you guys if we take Nuke's suggestion to rest another night. Remember, there is a time limit here, although the party doesn't know how much time they have.)

"I don't know, Beloved" Goldmoon says after Riverwind's suggestion. "I have the bad feeling that we will run out of time if we don't move. We have light to go on during at least ṕart of the night, and Laurana is now well enough again to guide us. What do the rest of you think?"
(OOC: Sorry, I seem to be annoying you by not reading carefully and not consulting the books. I promise to be more attentive now)

"The sooner we get going, the sooner we can rescue Raist and the others," Caramon says. "But then again, if we rush in before we're ready, we might wind up in trouble again."
Eben shrugs. "Either way, I'm with you guys. Just point me in the direction, and my sword is ready to fight."
=======
(OOC: It's okay. I figured maybe the book could explain it better than me. For some reason, I am just unable to communicate anything with anyone lately.)

"Some of us are still pretty bad off," Tika points out. "But maybe we shouldn't waste any more time."

"Remind me to use all my remaining healing spells before we rest for a longer time" Goldmoon asks the others. "This way, we will not go into a fight as poorly prepared as we did this time. And I will stay out of fights as much as possible, to be able to help you sooner."

OOC, it is night time, another 8 hours shouldn't matter that much, and we could be much better off.

"We rest for a short while longer, yesterday a few of us were close to death." Sturm says after a few moments silence, "Goldmoon needs to recover her spells, its all good healing us, but we need her to be able to heal us if we run into trouble."
"Goldmoon, you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, I am sorry, we will try to ease that load." He says taking her aside a short moment.
"Laurana." He bows, "A word?" He takes her by the arm, leading her away from the group. "My Lady, I am no leader, I have been trained to lead troops, not my friends. I would be happy to allow you to take the lead, if you would accept my counsel." The Knight glances away nervously, this was obviously hard for him, letting a woman lead.

"Me? I can't I am not trained, I don't know anything about leading.." She lets out a little chuckle, "Do you think they will follow me?" Seeing him nod in agreement she reluctantly agrees, "I will, with help.."
Returning to the group, she nearly died, thats what it felt like, she could still feel the pain, even though it was long gone. Her body aching yes, a little more rest, but this time she would watch too.
(Suggest:
8 hrs rest, 2 hr watches, so four groups.
Laurana.Tika
Sturm
Caramon Tas
Riverwind Eben
Left Goodmoon out so she can heal, dont see Magpie offering to watch, but she would stay up with Laurana, who wants to talk to Tika some more.)
(Ooc: Yes, thats the plan I think, he talked to them together)

After using up the remaining of her healing spells, the party readies camp for the second night. Once a nice fire is going and everyone has taken the time to eat and drink, Tika and Laurana take the first watch that night.
==========
Goldmoon casts Cure Light Wounds on herself (1d8): 8 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts Cure Light Wounds on Riverwind (1d8): 8 HP restored.
Goldmoon casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Tika (1d10+1): 4 HP restored
First Watch (Laurana, Tika)
10:00 PM -
11:00 PM - Encounter check (1d10): 9, no encounters
(OOC: Jenara said Laurana wanted to talk to Tika during their watch, so I'm pausing here to give them the chance to do that.)

"Tika, Sturm has asked me to take charge, I don't know why, Tanis would never approve." She laughs quietly, "Me, in charge, how silly."
Looking at the young girl she straightens her hair and checks out the group. "I don't know what I am doing or why he asked me, but I am in charge, so I will need your help."

"Need my help?" Tika asks in surprise. "I'm about as inexperienced as you," she points out. "All I have is some common sense when it comes to a few things."
