Okay, XP is up. Here are my notes for the chapter.

I wasn’t certain how easy it would be to insert Jeremy into the group, but I felt that whole introduction scene went rather well.

Aleaha should be interesting to play. She’s from the module, technically. But while there are several NPCs in the module, she was the only one that had no role in the story itself. So I made a few tweaks to her and decided she would meet the party in the town.

The module hasn’t actually started yet. It will when we enter the forest. The town of Kurinost was taken from the Dragonlance setting. I looked it up in my books, and found the leader of the town was a low-level mage. It wasn't meant to be a plot point or anything, just a piece of setting background. Oh, well. The governor didn't have the Identify spell anyway.

So, Jerrard has decided to name himself leader, with only Babushka's approval or knowledge. I wonder how the other party members will take that news if/when they find out?

I think it may be more apparent now why I tend to prefer handling big transactions OOC instead of IC? Imani buys herself a week’s worth of rations, then Jerrard goes in and attempts to buy rations for her and everyone else in the party. And all the horses. It was all rather messy, and consequently, Jerrard has gone through more than half of his share of the dragon's horde. (And with Malika on his arm, I have a feeling he'll be completely broke pretty soon!)

The idea of the rations was for the others to pay for the "top up" not him alone! It just got a bit confused.

As for the leader thing... He meant of the three of them, he has no real control over Malika (and yes she will try to bleed him dry) or Imani who he would never seek to order around! Jerrard

Jerrard said the reason the party needs a leader now is because they have grown so large in number--they are not just the three original party members any more. But if Jerrard is only the leader of the three original party members, then...I'm not sure I understand what the point was.

Why would the party leader not be able to lead Imani? Is she not considered part of the party yet?

I know that I am near the front with Babushka, but am I close enough to hear the bit about "The woodsman and the Gnome"? I only ask because I noticed that Babushka misunderstood our elfin guide, and would politely remedy that over site.

Unless he wasn't paying attention, Jeremy would have heard that conversation, yes.

How are we handling called shots? Are they allowed? if so, Jeremy is aiming for the eyes, unless that is nigh impossible, then he would likely go for the throat. Otherwise just a good center of mass shot, like hunting.

Called shots add a +1 to initiative and a -4 penalty to hit. The real question is, though...which set of eyes?

Of course he DOES give a new meaning to the phrase "Four Eyes"

I think I'll start working on a new char just in case. an elven fire mage perhaps.
