"I think the other one, Misha was his name? went upstairs. And I'm surprised you place so little value on honor and glory. In this world where we have so little, the most valuable things we have are our names. If we live well, they will survive far beyond us and can provide song and inspiration for those that follow. It is important that we today provide hope for those that follow."

Hrothgar leans back in his chair and grins at the barkeep, "Sir, I will have anything that you have in stock."

The barkeep glares at the group for a moment before leaning in and whispering. " I suggest you keep those ideals and any other notions of helping to yourself. I also suggest you give up and leave town. " With that, the barkeep sighs and begins to walk away. A look of sorrow on his face.

"Honor means nothing when you are dead." She says giving the the big warrior a silent 'tut'. "Here, in this place it means nothing."

"Now, we drink beer, eat and forget about the world out there for now.. " giving Mary a little grin she leans back in the chair.

Hrothgar shakes his head as he glances about the room. "These people have no pride in their ability to survive. We live in trying times but the fact that we live is an act of glory by itself. To survive is to be strong. How is that so worthless to them?"

"It is not enough to merely survive. If all you do is attempt to make it from one day to the next, where is the joy in life?"
