Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"Likewise" The bard responds accepting the handshakes, "I may have some tasks that could use an extra pair of hands in the future, and I'll be sure to come back here to find you."
With that, the bard makes his way to the market to peruse the stalls and see how the great organic machine of the city was recovering after the unrest, as he had intended to do before becoming side tracked. While walking through the streets he considered how fortunate he had been recently. The last engagement was really quite perilous, seeing the wounds inflicted to the party over time and with Trench's departure, having some extra muscle around was a very compelling concept.

Tulbas, Haahqae and Darga (Erogund Mageware Shop) [10:25 AM]
Haahqae presumably tells the others the coast is clear, and they carry Raetmal back to the shop.
Gregeddin (Marketplace) [10:25 AM]
Gregeddin walks the marketplace for an hour, getting a feel for the place. Business has resumed, but there is much tension in the air still. People seem to be walking on eggshells, uncertain what might happen next.

(OOC: Well, got everyone time synched again, at least.)

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Wandering around the market, Gregeddin tries to catch some chit-chat of why everyone seems so freaked out. Were the grey robes of Fistandantilus' cult planning a demonstration or something?
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
It's nothing specific. People are worried there may be more riots. The rumors of war in distant lands persist, as well.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Tulbas looks in suspicion around, hoping they will manage to get to the shop hidden from hostile eyes. As they get there he quickly unlocks the door, return to carry his uncle back in and locks the door behind them. Inside he leads Darga and Haaque to Raetmal's room and carefully places him in bed. Tired by the effort he straightens, take a deep breath and says, "Thanks, I appreciate your help." but his mind is obviously elsewhere as he is most troubled with the attack and the black robed mage interest in the shop.
He goes to the kitchen, takes some herbs and medical incense, and a chair. He places the chair near his uncle's bed and lights the incense in the room. The herbs he put in hot steaming water near his uncle head.
He then looks at his companions. "Hmm... I'll be at his side until he wakes up. If you want I can offer you some food and drink but I'm afraid I can't do anything else for you." He then looks at Haaque, knowing his hunger for knowledge. "I'm afraid all the magical items and components are locked and warded in the shop." then he adds somewhat encouragingly, "But I have a book about famous mages if you like to read it."

(OOC: I thought it is safer to use Marvin's house once Tulbas became aware the shop is stalked by the black robed mage. But let's play it that way.)

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Darga shakes his head to decline Tulbas's offer. "Nah, I think it's best I leave you an' yer uncle ta be." But before he leaves, he turns back to add, "We should all be careful an' not draw eyes ta ourselves. 'Fore I met that Magnus, I heard some a th'guardsmen talkin' 'bout what happened las' night, an' it sounds like they got some descriptions a' us. Keep yer heads low." After thinking a bit more, he asks, "Have either o' ya talked ta th' singer or th' Seeker girl since we left here earlier? They should be watchin' out fer th' guards, too."
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Hearing Darga Tulbas says, "I hope Kynaston and Daxia made it. Maybe they managed to use all the commotion with my uncle appearance to slip through the gates unnoticed. Thanks again for your help and warning. I shall think about this Magnus, he might know that I'm here already."
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
After having spent some time roaming the marketplace, Gregeddin heads back to the mageware shop to see if Raetmal has returned yet. Finding the door locked and the shop closed, however, he is forced to knock to gain entry.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Taking the book from Tulbas, Haahqae thanks him; "Very generous of you Tulbas, but I'm a little confused. If you're staying here for some time, how will you help kill the giant? No wait, don't tell me, magic! I won't pretend to know all about magic, so perhaps it'd be best if you tell me just how you're helping so that we can form wiser plans with your help. It seems like we're missing Kynaston and Daxia so we might need planning to compensate for missing members."

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"Giant!?!" Tulbas looks at Haaque like he have seen him for the first time. "Yes, I remember now I've heard you mumbling something about a giant. Could you repeat the details for me please? He is killing refugees or something, right? Do you know how long does it go? To you know what kind of giant is it?" Tulbas asks, knowing it is hard to reason with the Gnome he hopes to make Haaque understand through the answers that going after the giant would require few days preparation in which Tulbas will still have to look over his uncle.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Hearing the knock on the door Tulbas tells Darga and Haaque, "Stay here and stay quiet." he goes to one of the windows farthest from the door and peeks through the curtains. Seeing Gregedding he quickly lets him in and locks the door after him. "Hello again. Sorry for sneaking you in like that. My uncle was attacked, and there is a mage seeking him which is up to no good. I'm not sure if they are connected. I need to ponder on that." he says as he goes back to his uncle room, Gregedding following.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
Gregeddin was somewhat caught off guard as Tulbas sweeps him into the shop.
"Oh my wait what?" He spluttered, but stops seeing, Raetmal lying statuesque, "Oh dear indeed. Tulbas, when did this happen to your uncle?! The last I saw of you was chasing after Daxia and Trench in a flurry of emotion."
Gregeddin continues "Do you know if he will recover? And how was he even attacked inside the walls of the city, did the guards or even the people here do nothing?"

Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"It happened few hour ago, in the Tower of Sorcery. Raetmal was able to teleport himself back to town before he collapsed." Tulbas says. "I don't know if he will recover. I hope so." Tulbas continues, his eyes resting on his uncle.
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"This must be most worrying for you, Tulbas. The Tower of Sorcery, did he go there to meet someone? Is there any way we can find out why he left on such short notice?"
Re: CH. 4 - False Gods
"He said it was an urgent meeting. Maybe they knew this is coming. Maybe it was a trap. I hope he wakes up and tell us."
