Pyros is encumbered to 3/6 from gear, and then slow halves that so he makes it about half way across.

"Perfect, just perfect." Mira comments and presses on, her hand gripping the crossbow like she might drop it at any moment.

Looking to leave the sluggish area asap, Pyros will try to hustle not worrying about noise, moving to the right.

"I would prefer to be near one of our martial folks while traveling through this."

Pyros moves farther on, wading out of the rolling black mist. As soon as he is free of it, his movement returna to normal. He can see the passage ahead curves Left again, and an even narrower space to the right, wide enough for one of the small folk, or a slender, unarmored individual...

Jerry waits for Merrick to be ready and holds onto him so they can't get inadvertantly separated.

Pyros waves back at normal rate. The sneaks to the passage to the right.

Mira turns to Elsa, her words hushed. "We stay together, I'd like to get out of this if I can." Her hand clasps the Cleric like letting go would require extreme effort. "I assume our self appointed protector will go first?" She speaks louder, meaning Karl. "Then we go."

Adrestia slides past the Knight, following closer behind the Kender. As soon as the dusky hued fighter enters the black mist, her movement slows visibly. With a determined look on her face, she wades through the inky blackness, lantern high in her off hand, shining rapier in her right. Suddenly a ghostly white hand with long, sharp nails reaching up from the mist. It is slender and gaunt, but not completely skeletal. With speed that seems impossible to believe, it lashes out and grabs onto the basket hilt of Adrestia's rapier!! The whispy white arm seems to all appearances to have a firm grip on the object, but the fighter reacts as if it exerts no force. She does, however, begin shaking the weapon hard in an effort to dislodge the ghastly thing's grip!

[Actions?]

Jerry calls on Mystra's divine power, "Begone, creature of darkness!" brandishing her holy symbol at the wrstling duo.

Cross stands and watches for now. Maybe trying to figure out what the creature is.

Karl steps forward, entering the 'slow zone' his weapon drawn as he prepares to strike the arm holding the pretty young womans hand.

"In for a Copper." Mira steps into the slow zone, still using her crossbow as she watches Karls attack.

As one, the group takes actions to protect their ally. Jerry and Elsa begin calling upon their patrons to drive the evil back, but the ghostly looking hand remains utterly unphased! Pyros winds up his staff and slings a pair of stones at the arm, but smacking his staff against the walls of the narrow passage throws his aim off badly.

The noble knight wades into the inky blackness wth the redheaded bard only a step behind. As if wading through thick honey, their movement is slowed considerably. Sir Karl takes a mighty swing at the phantom limb, and his sword passes right through it as if it were made of nothing but light and mist!

A second pale arm breaks the surface of the rolling black behind the armored man. Like a viper's strike the second hand connects with the blade of his magical longsword! Just like before the grip is visibly solid but exerts no force that the human can feel.

Mira's crossbow bolt cuts clean through one of the misty arms and embeds in the hard stone wall without hindering the hand in the least!

Adrestia continues eastward, her sword beginning to grow pale and translucent; almost as if becoming part of the mist itself! As soon as she passes the edge of the mist, the hand releases her weapon, which returns to a more solid appearance. The warrior shivers despite herself, shaking off the slowing effect.

Adrestia has made it out of the fog and the arm is no longer grasping for her sword
Sir Karl is in the fog and contending with a separate misty arm [Save vs spells at +1 please]
Mira is in the fog, yet no arm has appeared to accost her
The rest of the party (except for Pyros) is still in the area before the black fog...

Jerry suggests to Merrick, "I think it's a Phantasm," and when the way across isn't blocked holds onto him firmly with her left hand.
"Shall we?" and urges him forwards so they move together.

Seeing the hand disappear, Pyros heads back to the corner to the right to scout it out. HS/MS/DN
