Yes, I was thinking about that too. I thought I might have to learn it the slow way. Pointing up: "Sun". Pointing to self: "Rabraca." And so on. I a few weeks I might be able to communicate. And we all might have to do that yet, too, unless we want to be mutes. It looks like we'll be in that place a while. There is no "Common" in Ravenloft, is there?

There is a common language, but the domain of Kartakass is special in many ways. They do trade with their neighbors such as Sithicus and Gundarak, however.

With a party 'translator', it shouldn't be too difficult. Any day spent where appx half the conversation is in Harmonian adds 1% to your lang check. Multiple attempts can be made as long as the person you're talking to has tge patience for it

Elven just adds a +5% bonus to the check. Anyone capable of language can learn it. There is a check cap at 95%.
A roll over 95 means yoy said something in Harmonian, but not what you intended

Its probably going to be the case that our characters are going to clash a few times, and thats just fine.

Oh and the silver weapon reference wasn't one of wealth but more survival.

Don't sell yourself short (pun intended), you probably have the only Hoopak in all of Kartakass! You're also likely the only Kender.... though there are some in Sithicus... but mpre on that later...

Oh and... a Paladin... oh man, this Kender is going to have fun! Elsa has been way to easy going. But I am sure the Kender will get a rise from the stuffy old codger!

Not to mention the homebrewed kit i worked up with spygy and my first use of an Elementalist specialist when Chese780 joins the party...

We have quite an ecclectic mix I don't think there are any two characters of the same class if you don't count specialists and Multi-classers... Not to mention the Kender being totally alien to half the party and the halfling to the rest!
