"You're the first one from the Belzorites' hideout that we've found," Arulia says in agreement with Gobax. "Well, we were looking for Ismene, but we found you first."

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
The goblin nods, We looked for you at the tankard, but you had left already... Who are your associates there? He asks, hoping Arulia will see where he is going with the new question.
Re: CH. 13: Consequences
“While I hate introducing new people into a task after what has happened to us in the past… There are two here who I know are both honest and Trustworthy.“
“Myriam is Ismene’s roommate and fought by my side while we were ridding the city of a giant menace. I’ve met with and talked to her on multiple occasions since then so I can vouch for her. Jaymes was the man who commissioned the giant job, he’s spent most of the time since then helping out the poor villagers that we saved from the giant and has just recently moved back into the city. If you feel like we need more people for this job, I would like to recommend them.”
”Their pay can come out of my share of the findings. I need the money just as much as anyone else here, but it’s not fair for me to suggest adding more people and reducing the rewards for those who fought during the mission. I was one of the two main recruiters for the mission in the first place, so I will do my part to try and make things better for everyone, even if many of the failures during the mission were due to others, as the only remaining leader I must take responsibility for making amends. Unless... We can't find reasonable people to distribute the share allotted for Felrin or our other missing members. In which case the shares of the deceased can be reallocated to the new.”

"Fine by me," Arulia says. "We'll have a better chance if there's more of us."
Re: CH. 13: Consequences
Tulbas uses the sling to bind Jinali cuts some cloth from her robes and stuff it in her mouth. He takes her belonging and then looks at Selowen worried. "Are you still bleeding? Are you getting worse while walking?" Tulbas looks at Selowen leg, checking if he can adjust the splinting.

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
The goblin called "Gobax" nods. I'm glad you've worked with them before. Let's see if they're interested then.
Re: CH. 13: Consequences
Kendra Greylock (Marketsquare)
Acting more on instinct than anything else, Kendra manages to catch the bottle, intact, before it hits her and shatters. She can hear something sloshing around inside, some kind of liquid. At the same time, several more bottles come tumbling from the air, this time landing in the audience. They shatter and then explode on contact, spreading flames and further panic as the audience nearly tramples itself trying to get away.
Most of the soldiers are forced to move or be trampled, although the ones guarding the stage managed to remain. The butler, next to Kendra, watches the sky, trying to determine where the bottles are coming from.
Once the audience is mostly cleared, Kendra can see things better. There are several dead people, burned from the flames. A few seem unharmed, but are lying still and unmoving. There are five snakes slithering about, but they aren't like any kind Kendra has seen before. They are red and orange in color and seem to be on fire themselves. But the flame does not harm them at all.
==========
Kendra makes a DEX check [TN 17] (1d20): 8, pass.
(OOC: R's are residents. Red means dead, orange means paralyzed. 1-5 are the snakes.) Tulbas Erogund (Tower of Wayreth, Unknown Floor on AT 15)
"Spellcasting is very draining, as I'm sure you already know," Selowen points out. Tulbas checks her wound, and she does not appear to be bleeding any more.
(OOC: Part of Dragonlance lore is that arcane spellcasting is very tiring, especially for lower level mages. There's no mechanic for this. I'm just roleplaying it out.
Mechanically speaking, she is at 1 HP and her leg is injured which is causing a drop in her movement rate, armor class and dex-based saving throws and skills.)
Ne-Chanz and Shima (Central Haven Sewers)
While Ne-Chanz opens the door behind Shima to give the dwarf some room, the first rat leaps forward and bites Shima's ankle, drawing blood. He tries to retaliate with his long sword, but the rat leaps aside at the last second, so the sword just clanks against the stone floor instead.
=================
Initiative
Ne-Chanz (1d10+3): 4+3 = 7
Shima (1d10+5): 6+5 = 11
Giant Rat 02 (1d10+3): 1+3 = 4
Round 1!
Giant Rat 02 bites at Shima who is using a masterwork shield (-2 hit) [TN 15] (1d20-2): 20-2 = 18, critical hit! for (2d3): 1,3 = 4 damage. Shima is now lightly wounded.
Ne-Chanz opens the door behind Shima.
Shima swings his long sword at Giant Rat 02 [TN 11] (1d20): 5, miss.

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
When Ne-Chanz appears beside Shima again, then if the dwarf can try to hit it and then fall back defensively fall back about 5' (or just enough to try and pull one rat in so that Ne-Chanz can try to cleave the beast) without giving the rat a free attack then that is what he will do. Otherwise, he will just defensively fall back to the same degree, giving up his attack but not allowing a free one.

Kendra quickly jumps off the stage after carefully putting the bottle she caught down, and runs for the first snake she can see (#1). Her swords are drawn, but she has a feeling only her magical blade is going to do any damage as she makes her first swing at the snake.

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
Haahqae knows what he has to do. He has to get off his sorry butt and bring the ‘good news’ to Jaymes and Myriam. However getting up seems like a tall task from Haahqae’s position. Not that it would be hard physically, Haahqae has been around the tall-person world long enough to not be daunted by the huge size of chairs and can easily enough get into and out of them now. More that it was a huge task mentally. Part of him trying to keep him here for just a bit longer, as if thinking about the hopelessness of Ismene’s situation or perhaps crying would make him feel any better.
Looking at the other two confirm that they would be willing to work with his suggested companions but do nothing about it is slightly frustrating. Wouldn’t either of them have the faintest clue that words are not enough? Action was needed! But… That comes back to Haahqae needing to get up and do it again. As Haahqae has learned the hard way, even trustworthy help is all too often incompetent, and he has to do most everything himself.
Haahqae feels a tiny, cold nose pressing against his neck. You're right Miracle, not by myself anymore. I'll always have you to help me.
“Ok Haahqae, up you go.” A very basic motivational speech, and quietly muttered under his breath, but it’s enough to get the gnome onto his feet. And that was the hard part, walking across the room was easy enough.
“Well I have a bit of good news for you two, if a job offer is good news. There’s a pair of thieves who stole from Ismene, myself, the pair of fine folks over there and a few others. We’ve been trying to track them down for weeks, and I’ve just been informed that we may have our first lead. A lead which might prove potentially dangerous, so we’d feel safer if the two of you would join us, should we come to confrontation. There will be money involved, although it’s unclear at this time how much, or how the proportions will be divided.”
“If either or both of you are interested, then we should act immediately, time is short and there’s plenty of planning to do.”

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
Tulbas decides he first need to make sure Selowen survive. Later he might have his revenge. There is no certainty what will they meet going downstairs but one thing is certain, going up would endanger them. "Let's find the way out. I'll protect you." he says quietly but calmly hoping they will find someone that will help them out. Maybe Daxia.

Re: CH. 13: Consequences
Haahqae, Arulia and Gobax (Masked Dragon Inn, Common Room)
"You were stolen from, weeks ago?" asks Miriam. "Odd, Ismene never mentioned it. But what exactly is expected of us? You mentioned a 'confrontation' but we are not allowed to carry weapons in the city, and I assumed that was true for you, as well."
Jaymes nods in agreement. "Yes, before we agree, we'd need to know more about what we'll be doing."
Kendra Greylock (Marketsquare)
Hopping off the stage, Kendra moves to the first snake and slices it in two with her elven blade. Both halves of the snake vanish in thin air, leaving behind no corpse or blood. The other four snakes seem to have taken notice of her, and begin slithering in her direction.
==========
Kendra hops off the stage and moves 20 feet northwest, then swings her elven blade (+2 hit/+2 dmg) with great skill (+1 hit/+2 dmg) and strength (+1 dmg) at Fire Snake 1 [TN 10] (1d20+3): 15+3 = 18, hit for (1d8+5): 3+5 = 8 damage. Fire Snake 01 vanishes.
Tulbas Erogund (Tower of Wayreth, Unknown Floor on AT 15)
Selowen gets to her feet. "What about her?" she asks, gesturing to Jinali. "Just leave her here?"
Ne-Chanz and Shima (Central Haven Sewers)
Shima takes another swing at the rat, misses, and then withdraws five feet to the north. The rat follows eagerly, biting at the dwarf again--but Shima's shield protects him. Ne-Chanz then takes a swing at the rat, now in range, but also misses.
