Van wil cross under the watchful eye of Garroth. Full movement rate, but not passing Boyd and not between him and Garroth.
He'll hike up his skirts- er, robes, to keep up the pace if need be.

Linar moves up to cover the river flank across the river.
Anything appearing should initially be an easy target while it goggles at Van mincing around.

Re: Act 1, Scene 2: “The Edge and Back” (Group B: Main Game
Garroth readies his massive bow, watching for danger as Boyd inspects the opposite side of the bridge from afar. After a few minutes he fails to find any sign of threat or ambush, and so crosses quickly. Once past, the minotaur joins him and branches off to the left [West since he is facing South] side of the road.
From a safe distance back, the humans, Eariel and the light and dark elves watch. Once the pair are across, the group joins them on the other side by ones and twos. It is a little past midday now, we've another 10 miles to go yet. Should we stop here a moment? The bridge could make a good choke-point for us if anything approaches... she suggests.

"Sure," replies Linar. "But keep lookouts, please."
He turns to Garroth, "Fancy sweeping an arc ahead with me, just in case? We can take turns to eat while on the move."

"How about we go another mile? I am a trapper by trade. A trapper sets his snares where he know the prey will be. If I were setting up an ambush, I would do it here, not at some random location on the road," says Boyd.
"No matter where you go, there you are."

"Yes... let's get clear first..." agrees Garroth

Eariel nods and the group continues southward for another mile before stopping for lunch.
[Are Linar and Garroth scouting ahead as Linar suggested?]

{OOC: Yes, Linar will, alone if that's the preference..}

Garroth will also scout ahead... he is a ranger after all and is hard to surprise..

Re: Act 1, Scene 2: “The Edge and Back” (Group B: Main Game
The Drow and Minotaur scout ahead as the party trails after. The group picks a likely spot about 1 mile south of the bridge to stop for lunch. Eariel has Hew and Tag distribute the rations for the civilians. With a little luck we’ll all have a warm meal and a warm bed tonight. I suppose this is the first time to Bordertown for most of you isn’t it? We don’t get many visitors that aren’t connected to the Crown or the military in some way… She says conversationally.

Linar scouts ahead with Garroth, sweeping an additional arc ahead of where the party are hunkering down, all business and all silent, arrow nocked, but paying attention to any signs or signals from his chunky friend.

Did the boar dwarf and magic elf make it across okay?
Van the Elf will say amid his hiked skirts, "This bridge is really long!! Maybe we should camp mid span!"

[The group finished crossing the bridge in my post on the 4th. They are now 1 mile south of the bridge, stopped for lunch. Garroth and Linar are scouting ahead while the others eat.]Sol Mazer wrote:Did the boar dwarf and magic elf make it across okay?
