"To underestimate your enemy is to hand him victory." He glances from the overly merry man back to the strong woman then back to the happy-go-lucky stranger, "And what is rightfully mine I possess."
" If you wish to hunt down the bandits to help protect the innocents on the road, or for whatever reason I will join you. But" He raises his hand to indicate the cheerful stranger should stop walking away, "But we must prepare, move cautiously, and make sure the battle is ours to win before we begin. And we must insure that it is bandits we fight, and not innocent but armed travelers we happen upon in the wilds or we are no better than those we hunt."

"What?" She asks puzzled, "This is not your fight, neither of you." Jumping astride Night she gives them a warning look. "I have tarried here too long." With that she rides to the edge of the oasis, pausing to check the round around her.

The area around is dusty at best with a few patches of trees around. To the northwest, a few people walk through the trees. One of them keeps stumbling forward, as if being pulled. They are too far away to identify.

"I am bound by honor to help when I can. To wall away after being told of bandits would make me guilty of all crimes committed henceforth..."
Misha turns back from his mule and notices the new group heading towards the oasis, and falls into silence, warily watching. He Studies the stumbler and those with assessing the situation.

Staying astride Night Hazel watches the new arrivals with interest, her keen eyes scanning the area.
Spot: 16, listen 8.
"Only a fool offers to do things for honor, honor will get you killed." She says with a scorn.

This group of new arrivals holds a total of ten people. Out of those ten, there are two children not even of age to swing an axe. These two boys have oversized backpacks on in addition to a small cart each of them is pulling. They look starved and weak.
There are 3 women in the group, all of which have been stripped completely of anything. Clothing, jewellery or dignity. All that remains is ropes that bound their hands together. The men hold onto the other end, pulling forward whenever the woman stopped for even a brief moment. One of these woman looks like the woman that Hazel was kind enough to set free.
The five men all wore leather armor and some had bows while others had large swords. These men all seemed cheerful while tossing harsh insults to both the boys and the women, laughing as they knocked a woman to the ground, or kicked one of their “pack mules”
They head directly towards the oasis, completely unaware of your presence because they are far to distracted abusing their “toys”

"You want to help?" She asks as the horrible caravan approaches, "They haven't seen us, take cover, take them out." Moving back she draws her bow notching an arrow and aiming at the lead man.
Init: 10, attack: 24 (crit) damage: 6x3 = 18
"Drop them! Now, or you get what he got!" She shouts, notching another arrow.

The arrow flies fast and true, landing directly in the man's eye socket. His corpse falls to the ground as the others are taken off guard. They stumble for their weapons, unable to understand whats going on and who is shouting at them.

"At the end of the day, Honor is all that seperates me from a murderer."
As the arrow flies, Misha moves quickly, trying to get into melee range before the bandits can use the women as shields, drawing his shot sword with a shout, "KIIAAAAAAAA!"
He attacks the closest bandit he can reach
Init: 1d20+4 → [7,4] = (11)
Attack: 1d20+6 → [4,6] = (10)
Damage: 1d6 → [1] = (1)

The bandit stumbles back, enough to dodge the attack. They have started to revert from their surprised state and have regained alittle stance to attack.

Hrothgar draws his short sword and charges the nearest bandit, a battle hymn on his lips.
Init: 4
Attack: 19+4 (crit)
Damage: 2, 2 + 6 (10 damage)
Is there a guy I can cleave? Because if there is, I'll just roll that one too assuming I don't kill this dude.
Attack: 15+4
Damage: 2 + 3 (5 damage)

Did the word take cover mean nothing to these people?
Letting another arrow fly, this time at the man holding Mary (Unless the big guy just killed him)
Attack 14, damage 5.
She let's the bow fall, sweeping her cloak behind her with a simple manoeuvre and draws her short sword and axe.
"Let them go, we might let you live." Her voice is clear of anger.

Hrothgar's blade grinds through the unprepared bandit. The bandit growls in pain, raising his weapon and charging forward, he aims to cut Hrothgar down with single swing.
(Hit 18, damage 5)
2 other bandits regain themselves. One with bow and arrow, the other with shield and short blade. The archer sends an arrow to meet Hazel, but the aim is off and it goes flying into a distant tree.
The other bandit launches an attack on Misha, aiming a stab with his sword. Once again, the aim is off.
Hazel's arrow is bound for the first bandit, thankfully missing Hrothgar and landing within the bandit's chest. he falls to the ground grasping for air, dying.
At this point all the children and woman realize what's going on and begin to run, however they don't seen to have the strength to run. They stumble to the ground nearby, with the exception of Mary, who remains calm and watches the fight.
One of the bandits rushes to cart, attempting to find some weapon of use.
Bandit 1-dead
Bandit 2-unable to fight, dying
Bandit 3-bow
Bandit 4- Sword and shield
Bandit 5- Still trying to gather his weapon.

"Big Guy! Stop him, take him alive." She shouts as she approaches the Bandit with the Bow.
Attacking twice she swings her Sword and axe in a crossed arc.
Shortsword 12 dam 3
Axe 18 dam 2
"Mary, get a weapon, help those people." She shouts.

Mishap moves towards the man with the shield keeping his blade in front of himself defensively, "drop your weapons, surrender now while you live.you will be better treated than your own captives."
(Full defense)
