Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
Val is almost amazed walking into the Queen of Harts, the degree of civilized decadence goes contrary of her up bringing. "Food, rooms and baths, in that order."
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
Ouragna shakes her head at Val's comments. "I won't be able to enjoy food as long as I smell like this" she confesses. "I need to take a bath first. Is it possible to have room service with fhe food? I'm afraid I don't have a full set of clean clothes. Although - my clean tunic covers rather more skin than your outfit." The last sentence is said with a smile to the woman.

"Cold? It's nearly 90 degrees out," the female says. "I suppose the storm will cool things off, though."Baeros wrote:"Aren't you cold? There is a storm coming."
"Of course, if you like, we can bring you to your rooms and show you where to clean up both body and clothes, and have your food brought right to you, if you prefer," the male says.Ouragana wrote:"Is it possible to have room service with the food? I'm afraid I don't have a full set of clean clothes."
"Do you have any suites available?" asks Areilon.
"I believe there is still one free, yes," the female responds.
"Great. I'll take it," Areilon says with a nod.
"Very well. And regular rooms for the rest of you? Singles or doubles?" asks the male. "And what food would you like brought to you?"

"I'll take a single," Jocelyn says. "And what do you serve here, food wise?"
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
"Any kind of food or drink you like," the male servant says. "We even have some foreign cuisines from Gontoria and Rabbah."
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
"I will take a single as wel" Ouragana says. "And the food I'd like is just some bread, fresh cheese, and fruit."

"Andar, what about you? Can you afford a single room? If not, you can share mine. Val, wanna join us?" Baeros asks with a wicked smile... Readying himself for her punch in his face he quickly adds, "Just kidding... I guess you are on your own." Then he looks at the servants. "Do you have anything to grab right now? Bread and cheese? I'm starving!" he growls and becomes uneasy. "And please, give me two nice chunks of raw meat for my dogs."
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
"I'll cover Andar's room," Areilon volunteers.
The elves take the party upstairs to the second floor, and show them their rooms. Each of them is given a ring, and shown that if they pass the ring over a panel above the doorknob, the door opens automatically. "Much better than keys, as these rooms cannot be lockpicked," the female explains.
They are also shown the bathing area, which is separated for men and women. As it's currently lunch time, there aren't many people there right now. The bathing pools are heated and kept clean with magic, making them completely self-efficient.
There are also boxes in the bathing rooms that the elves call 'laundry cleaners.' "You just put your clothes in, and then they are magically cleaned and freshened in seconds," the female explains.
"You employ a lot of magic here," Andar notes.
"We have a little deal with the local wizards' guild, the Thundergulls," the male says. "But you'll find a lot of magic use here in Tu'Valie. We try and use it in our daily lives whenever possible."
"It reminds me of the old days of Ruara, before the humans took over," Areilon notes wistfully.
"That is what we strive for here," the female elf says, pleased.
"We'll have your food delivered to your rooms right away," the male says. "It won't take long. In the meantime, we can show you to your suite, miss," he says to Areilon. "It comes with its own laundry cleaner and magic bath."
The three elves head up to the third floor, while the rest of the party is left to decide if they want to clean up first, or go straight to their rooms and wait for their food.

Ouragana stays in the bathing area, she really needs to clean up! she puts her clothes into the laundry cleaner and enjoys a quick but thorough bath begfore picking up her clothes again and going into her room for her meal. she eats carefully, after such a long fast the stomach is likely to get easily upset.
After eating, she walks over to her room's window and looks out for a while, taking in the scene.

Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
Jocelyn decides to take a bath first, as the food was going to take a little while she assumes. Though, she takes her time with the bath, soaking it up a little bit, and simply trying to relax after all that had happened.
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
Val responds. "I'll take a single as well, and fish, now please." She moves to take a seat in the common room. A bath can wait.
Re: CH. 10 - Queen of Harts
In response to Areilon's remark Baeros grunts quietly... "Always blame the humans... Elves are the best! But even a loaf of bread they couldn't give me without their magic kitchen delivering the food directly to my room!!" Then he adds, "You didn't mention how much all this luxury will cost us... 'oh magnificent elves'.""It reminds me of the old days of Ruara, before the humans took over," Areilon notes wistfully.
Baeros enters his room, sets down his packs and goes to the bathing rooms, leaving his cloth in the an unoccupied laundry box he enters the bath letting the warm water relax his strained muscles and rests until his stomach starts to rumble again.

Ouragana Stormbride
Ouragana quickly cleans up in the bath. It's a marvel of magical engineering. The dirt and grime that washes off of her vanishes into the water, rather than dirtying it any. It was as if the tub was self-heating and self-cleaning.
When she finishes, she opens up the laundry cleaner to find her clothes are fresh, clean and dry.
She heads to her room, waving the ring over the panel, and then entering. It's a nice room; not overly large, but not cramped, either. There's a single bed, a chamberpot beneath it, a dresser, a chest, and some local tribal decorations to add color. She finds a plate of cheese, bread and sliced tropical fruit waiting for her, so she digs in.
Looking out her window, she can see that it has begun to rain lightly.
Jocelyn Blaine
Jocelyn joins Ouragana in the bathing room. Although while the mage quickly cleans herself and then leaves, Jocelyn remains to soak and enjoy the heated water while her clothes are cleaned and dried.
Shortly after the mage leaves, someone else steps in. A halfling with ebony skin, brown hair pulled back into a ponytail and green eyes. She strips down, dumps her clothes into an empty laundry box, then slips into the water. "Ooh, nice. A gal could get used to this, eh?" she asks Jocelyn.
Val Urgan
Val heads back downstairs and enters the restaurant. It's a large area, and quite packed as it is around lunchtime. In the room's center is a bar that forms a square, with bartenders on each side. Looking around, she notes most of the people here are human, elf or somewhere in between. There are a few seats available at the bars, and a couple of empty tables available to her.
Baeros Axewielder
After leaving his pack in his room, Baeros returns to the bathing room, his two dogs at his heels. He steps inside to find someone is already there, a young man with dark hair, eyes and skin, soaking in the large community bathing pool. The man watches Baeros closely, but doesn't say anything; although should the ranger make eye contact, he'll nod briefly.

"Huh?" Jocelyn says, lifting her head to look at the halfling. "Oh, yeah, I suppose so," she says. "It is relaxing."

~All this luxury~ Ouragana thinks. ~I wonder what else around here is magical?~
She casts Detect Magic and lets her gaze sweep around the room, and if time allows, into the street below.
