I see. Well, I guess we can all get our characters built by the time he gets back. How's everyone doing so far?

I rolled my stats that is it so far.

Once I sit down and do it though I'm sure it won't take long.

Still struggling to figure out Unseen Servant.
Got as far as needing an account (done), raising a char (done), rasing a macro (done), so far lots of error messages on rolling the dice.

yahaa! it worked. First time I got this far. These are as rolled. PHB p13 says you can assign so I'm going to assume that applies here until Matt says otherwise.

So we have three spellcasters (one divine, two arcane), and a melee damage dealer.

Maybe I should go with the Human Fighter pregen then, so we have a tank?

Melee damage dealer? No. I'm a melee damage -destroyer-.

You...you destroy damage? So like, a healer?

No. As it stands right now I do 1 +2 (+4Att) on an Unarmed strike.

I get a bonus attack as well.

AKA +4Att on two 3 damage strikes.

Not to mention the scythe in my pocket that has: (+5 Att) and does 1d4 +2 damage.

Or, is that low damage in a 1st level 5e?

I honestly have no idea.

I do know that traditionally, though, monks are 'glass cannons.' They are good at dealing melee damage and have good speed, but poor defense and little to no ranged ability.

Of course they are. Sooner or later though, I will become a plexi-glass cannon.

i cant wait to get my thrall but thats not till like lvl 14 so will probably not get there any time soon/if ever

Isn't that at 14th level, though? It was my understanding this was a one-shot game that was just going to take us up to around level 3.

ya its one off to level three but i tend to keep a character going into other games like if i picked up another 5th id play rose further
