Act 1, Scene 3: "Out of Harmony" (Game Thread)

[Ooc: pretty much everyone except pyros has spells to re-memorize/pray for so we can say everyone arrives to the common room at the same time. One of the servers politely reminds mira that her friends havr yet to pay for their meals last night. Nobody sees Merrick leave.]

Cal goes to knock on the door of the other arcane spellcasters. "Today, I thought we could share and compare spellbooks."

Jerry comes down to breakfast bare moments after Cal.
She nods at anyone that she's already met.

{OOC: Who's here?}

"I guess I forgot I wasnt alone." Mira comments as she heads to her bed, grabbing the sheet she pulls it around her, blushing herself she realises that the Cleric needed some peace.

Singing softly she washes herself and dresses, pulling on a skirt, blouse and bodice she reaches for spellbook.. Sitting cross legged she sits quietly and reads her spell book, her eyes watching the window.. How had it opened? It made no sense.

(memorizes magic missile, shield and inviability)

"So.." She coughs and speaks once Elsa is done, "You aren't mad, just you'd prefer next time I choose to share. I should be dressed." She suggests with a wink..

Mira washes, dresses and considers the window... perhaps she simply hadn't latched it tight when gazing at the moon last night... maybe... Elsa is preparing for her prayers when Cal knocks at the Girl's room and calls through the door that he wants to invite everyone to consider trading spells. She looks to Mira and rolls her eyes at Cal's knock. Of course I'm not mad at you, Mira. she says sincerely. But maybe a little more clothing would... I'm just not used to... you understand.

Cal then moves on to knock at Cross and Artanis' room, saying the same as before. There is no response, so Cal heads downstairs with Jerry to find Cross and Artanis already present. The party's usual table is open. Erris and her daughter the cook are speaking near the counter, and one other server is attending the light patronage at thia early hour. Pyros comes downstairs wearing a red wig, green canvas suspenders, a woven leather bracelet, and a tin signet ring bearing a fox. The servers giggle as he comes out. Is is carrying what appears to be a small vial and two pouches... one of which looks familiar to Jerry...

"Good morning all! I hpoe you all slept better than I did! I had the most unpleasant dream that I've ever experienced," greets Jerrry.
She sees Pyros, "Morning to you, too. One of those looks familiar."

[Nocturno]

"Here take a look... it might be useful. Things find their way to my safe keeping all the time." He will hand out both pouches.

Jerry takes it with a cursory, "Well, thank you." She examines the pouch.

[Ooc: the pouch is undeniably her components pouch... The other appears to be a mage's spellpouch containing components for spells she is certain are beyond her abilities]

"Very droll," replies Jerry with a smile. "Does your sense of humour ever cause you to get your neck wrung?" adding a smile to disarm the comment. "And you attire is almost becoming."
She settles back in her seat, then addresses the rest of the table, "Is he always like this?"

After a minute or so, Jerry quietly comments, "Cal has suggesting an exchange of spells. I'm fully in agreement. I can offer 'Armour, Colour Spray, Copy, Detect Magic, Identify, Protection from Hunger & Thirst, Protective Amulet, Read Magic'. For anyone else that's interested, what can they offer?"

"Of course. I'll remember in the future. I guess its not the worst thing I've done." Letting out a. Chuckle she puts a hand on the Haflings shoulder. "So, Pyros?" She asks trying to keep it causal. "He cares, he truly does. I don't think I've ever heard of a Kender acting that selflessly. If it's not prying, did you... ? I know you are not innocent but.. " she stops talking.

"Do you think I'll need to repeat the whole. Don't use your magic in front of people speech again?" She asks changing the subject. "I suppose I should get I down there and keep them in line." Hovering she comes up behind, "Let me do your hair first? Mine probably looks better than yesterday!" She chuckles .

"The dreams are starting to scare me. I think..." She trails off fussing with the clerics hair, braiding the short mane deftly

[Nocturno]

"Well many people have tried to wring my neck. Most can't catch me once I give them their things back." Pyros will crane his neck looking up the stairs to see if Elsa is coming down.

"I can teach you all Read Magic, Detect Magic, Sleep, Hold Portal, Chromatic Orb, Phantom Armor, Phantasmal Force, and Charm Person. Phantasmal Force is great."

Elsa and Mira: Girls' Room
Elsa nods in understanding, I told him exactly how I felt, and then I kissed him so he couldn't misunderstand what I meant. it's up to him now... but... if he's not interested... She works her shoulders uncomfortably at the thought. Am I asking too much? I know his wife passed away... well, was murdered... Am I just being dense thinking he likes me too, or maybe it's too soon... that'd be kind of sweet, but it doesn't really help the way I feel... She checks her hair when the bard finishes, Oh, thank you! Do you want me to do yours too, for when you go to visit Yasir? she offers, blushing only lightly.

Artanis, Cal, Cross, Jerry and Pyros: Common Room
Jerry retrieves her pouch and the group discusses their potential arcane exchanges as Erris herself comes obeyed over. With a small bow she speaks to the group in Elven. I trust you all slept well. Might I entice anyone to partake in some breakfast? Her Elven is perfect Silvanesti, if a bit archaic.

[Ooc: Silvanesti are the Grey Elves of Krynn. Cross and Pyros would recognize it as being the same. The others understand it easily, it's akin to someone speaking with a distinct but understandable accent to them.]
