Still not used to a Drow speaking The Protector's name Nocturn stays quiet, and watches the survivors cross the bridge.
"Onward. We have much travelling to do."

Linar spends a few minutes trying to find some clay at the river's edge.

[There is no river here. the Chasm goes down thousands of feet to a rocky gulch.]
Saying their last goodbyes, those traveling north cross the bridge as they watch the far side, the sky and the precipitous drop with anticipation. Gradually they make their way across with caution, but safely reach the far side. Waving once again, they move off Northward and out of sight.
The party continues southward along the road, the brush growing denser away from the gulch. Soon the trees tower above, joining over the road and creating a verdant canopy speckled with golden light filtering in from the sun's secret space in the sky above. The rest of the day goes pleasant and warm, and all manner of animals can be heard in the wilderness around. After some hours the light fades gradually from the sky, and dark wells deep in the heart of the forest.
The Humans heading to Bordertown begin to stumble and trip on roots and rocks in the low light, weary dragging steps and low light making the going difficult.

Linar, super uncomfortable in the light day, keeps to the modest shade wherever possible and sighs with relief as the trees form a full conopy overhead. The low light carresses and relieves his senses. His head subtly sways or nods in time with Katten's almost-hypnotic prehensile tail..
OOC
How long since Linar was irradiated by faerzress?

Katten turns and faces the group, "We stop. Too dark and too dangerous to go on. " Her eyes follow a squirrel. "Forest protect us."

"Linar speaks up, "After we eat I would like to be amongst the first to rest. I can keep watch for most of the night thereafter."

"Dran and I catch food. Lots here." She waves her hand around, "We need safety for these people, safety and food." She adds speaking clear Elven. "Can you make a camp while I hunt?"

[Did the party want to use any of the pickled fish for the captives' rations?
Let me get a hunting roll for Katten.]
The Ranger and her wolf vanish into thr forest to hunt as the rest of the group begins to make camp ready.

Linar 'recharged' last on the 26th of Hanali, and it is now Evening the 7th of Flourish (about 9 days). He needs to recharge every 14 days to prevent any powers from beginning to wane, so he still has 5 days before anything happens.
Getting to Quel Salas will take about 1 day from here, then Bordertown another 1.5 days.

Findalsip will do his best to walk in the path the larger grow takes. He too finding that bright orb in the sky remarkably unsettling and not the least bit comforting. He much prefers the solid rock of the earth around him. The plants here being very odd to him. When the party stops to camp, he assists with getting things set up and secure.

I think we keep the fish as a backup. Seems like Katten has dinner covered.

Nocturno will stop and help prep anything Katten brings back.

Once the camp is settled Findalsip looks for natural rock to sit or lay/lean on.
